I can send it if you want, as I already have that desert map extracted ... it's a small size too - only 6mb ... but it was a fun map to use during the early days of Il-2. It could use not only new textures but also several mb worth of Egypt Houses and other Mid Eastern objects ... lots of palm trees too ... ha ha

You're right, Boelcke, its called SandsofTime:

in fb_maps06.sfs path is MAPS\Sandsoftime

to have it complete: MTO is in fb_maps15.sfs.

Redko, Sandsoftime is ready for download in the attachment of this post, has only 1.31 MB full and 176K as 7z!

does anyone know how to extract and open the file called palaufield01.tga ?

i found it with sfs extractor but none of photoshop or gimp can open it ?

This little tool ViewIMF-V1_0.exe is very handy.
In my opinion it's friendlier to work with than Dr. Jones .tga converter.
