Just noticed this is an 8 bit texture file, I should be able to get better quality with a 24 bit texture file so I might do this skin again later on.

Don't know how I managed to screw that up ...   ::)

you NEED a 8 bit texture file.
il2 can see 256 colors only, and 2^8=256 colors

try it. save as standard 24 (or 32...) bit bitmap, the game will not show you the skin.

you did the right thing
