Well sorry to spoil your fun guys but Yamato needs some more work.

The most observant of you surely noticed that the Hull mesh is not as great as the rest of the ship.
So #1 on my list is to completely remake the Hull meshes and then you'll have 1st normal version.

Otherwise do not expect work on the Shinano unless this becomes perfect first.

And that means redoing the hull meshes.
I know that you wrote this almost two years ago in Yamato WIP topic, but since Yamato model is complete, is there a chance that you will create a model of Shinano? :)

I like to be honest to you.
Right now I'm not really in the mood of starting this. It is still too close to the last update and need to recharge batteries , not to mention how less free time I have atm.
Also carriers are really not my field, I'm worried I might not do it well.

Even if I decide to do it it will be in future although I really hope some other modder with more experience in carriers will step forward.

Sorry to disapoint  :-[

Maybe a few IJN heavy cruisers (badly needed) ?
Mogami, Maya, Haguro, Tone ...

They look great, don't they ?  ;)

The Yamato really looks great. A superb addition to the IL-2 fleet.
Thanks DH.

Cruisers are another story as well as smaller PTO ships.
First I need good references, then appetite for modding again and time most importantly.

Perhaps I will take a go in one of them. But I can't confirm atm. Too messy schedule to do so. I don't like making false promishes  ;)

Let me offer you a little update for "Yamato". This update is the texture of a "normal" size for a onboard seaplane, that is 1024x1024 pixels ...

I created this texture on the basis of excellent skin for IJN Mitsubishi F1M by stanislao. If you wish to use this update, you should:
  • Download the archive with the updated texture.
  • Unpack the archive into a folder <your_MOD's_folder>\<folder_with_the_MOD_Yamato>\3do\Ships\Yamatov2, agreeing with the replacement files.
Thank you for your attention. Enjoy ;)

I add your update as optional in 1st page.
Thanks for the work.

Thanks, guys :)
Maybe someone interested in green camouflage version ... although I personally like the white version is still more :-\

You can download it from here. Installation is made in the same way as the previous version.
