I want to know which type BMW801 engines Do217K-1/K-2 had
in historical.
At Team Daidalos's FM, Do217K-1/K-2 have BMW801
ML engines.
1st "M" shows engine pylon standard "Motoranlage", not engine's type.
2nd "L" is the engine type - Toropical version of BMW801
A.
I read TD's BMW801ML specs... that is the same BMW801A I researched on web (like wikipedia).
And
Deutsch(Germany) wikipedia shows - Do217K-1/K-2 had BMW-801L-Doppelsternmotoren mit 1.560 PS Startleistung.
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dornier_Do_217This is matching TD's FM.
But at Japanese wikipedia or other Japanese writing web pages show different about Do217K-1/K-2.
In Japanese written, Do217K-1/K-2 had BMW801
G-2.
BMW801G-2 was the low geared version of BMW801
D-2, it was 1700~1730 PS. More 100 PS powerful than BMW801L.
And Japanese wikipedia shows Do217E-2 had BMW801A and Do217E-4 had BMW801L.
I'm confused now.
That Do217K-1/K-2 had BMW801G-2 story is... someone write books about Do217 in Japanese, and believed in Japan.
But German not.
Do217 was German airplanes...
I read again Deutsch wikipedia about BMW801 engines
http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_801This page shows BMW801A(L) were built between 1940~1942.
At 1942, BMW801D-2 and G-2 were started.
I think this BMW801 version-up times, Do217K-1/K-2 had BMW801G-2 is reliable.
Deutsch wikipedia isn't right.
How do you think?
And one more...
BMW801 series had "counter rotating variations" for twin engines bombers.
BMW801A's counter rotating version was BMW801B.
BMW801G's counter rotating version was BMW801H.
When 1 bomber had 1 BMW801A left and 1 BMW801B right, engine torque is erased by counter.
But this isn't implemented in TD's FM.
If you agree me, I retouch Do217's FM implementing this counter rotating engines.
