No worries - to each their own. I would say that it was this "possessive" attitude (not only you, you understand) that spurred me into starting my template, though...

So not only a bad thing, eh?

Don't worry about different versions, I'll release all of them in one template together, but give me a bit to make it.

If you want to make your own template anyway, you don't need more sources than every version void I did, they are on same post where you download mod and they are accurate and different for every model.

Thanks for the help! It should really help with the placing of the panel lines, rivets and fixings. I am a stickler for the placing of the panel lines, rivets and fixings, oh my, yes.

I actually find the making of templates to be more fun that the skins themselves - it gives such a lot of potential for skinning, rather than one single skin, if you know what I mean?

Ehhmmmm, mate, if you want to do it whatever happens it's OK, but panel lines and rivets for everyone of these models are placed where they should be because I put them. May be you want to place rivets in the form of full pixels, that's the only thing you can do, go ahead then, but they look quite unrealistic over 1024 resolution skins and 109 rivets in fact where headless type so they were no visible, yourself.

Lets just assume that I am going to work my way and you are going to work yours, ok?
Besides, it wouldn't be my template then, would it? It would be a copy of yours. And that would be a pointless waste of my time.

Annndddd that's why I put your attention on that work is done and well done yet, if you want to repeat again is your problem, don't blame me I warned you. Of course I'll "work my way", but don't worry about me, work was done many time ago for mod releasing ;), this afternoon I have things to do, tomorrow I'll release template probably. Mate it's plenty of mods out there with no template or accurate panel lines and rivets for trying to repeat what was yet done. And if you only want to help those people than can't wait for paint another skin for 109B series a basic template with panel lines over white is done with remove white tool in five minutes, no need to redo any panel line or rivets. It looks like you neither looked at voids released and go around there talking about panel lines that have to be redone  ???.

Funny you should say that because I've already found one or two things I would do differently and that I think I could do better.

As for my motives? I skin because I like to, not to get one up on anyone and not so that I can say 'yeah, I have that template, but no one else can have it' or to show it off...

The whole point is that it would be my template. Free for anyone to use when they want. What is so difficult to understand about that?

So long as Im not stealing anyone else's work I'll skin what I feel like when I feel like it. If I want to start from scratch, who's to care?

Nobody is saying you steal nothing mate. As said, if you'll do whatever happens as it looks go ahead and do it, no prob. Simply you don't need to get any excuses around here saying "youhavetodoityourwaywhateverhappensbecausethosepanellinesneedstobefixeduntilworldends" or something like that  :D, and specially you don't need to say that to me because I know every panel line and rivet from that aircraft, I did it and I know what I put and what I decided not to be there and over all why I put or not ;). What is funny is seeing you that concerned on fixing things not need to be fixed :P.

Please, I encourage you to do it and show me what was so wrong and needs fixing urgently ;).

Wow... the comment about panel lines and rivets was meant in jest. I think you can put panel lines and rivet where ever you want so long as it looks good and is something close to the subject matter. I hate rivet counters.

I think you might have got me wrong - I didn't say there was anything wrong with the original template (I haven't even seen it, only some of your 109 B skins and the original voids) and I didn't attack your work as being inaccurate or wrong in any way. I actually think the 109 B skins of yours that I have seen are very good. The only things I have seen that I would change are parts of the mechanical and internal bits (the wheels and cockpit especially). Here, I think I can do better and since they are in fact parts of the original vanilla 109 void, I don't see how you can get offended, I really don't.

No offense, but can I take a stab in the dark and guess that English is not your first language? Because I seriously think we are having two different conversations here.

No offence at all mate, I can be mistaken like anybody, but it looked like you were talking about fixing things I don't see anywhere, bla, bla, well what I talked before. When model was in request/Beta section there was lots of discussion in details coming from people didn't even knew what they were talking about (and yes, many about details like panels and so), it looked like something similar and it's very tired to start again with things like that having to prove every detail, you know. But yes English is not my first language, may be you were joking and I didn't understand you, if it's that I'm sorry man ;). Anyway thank you if you didn't realize that before, I'm trying to get my ICAO 4 English level (or more) right now, so that's good :D.

About main theme, you can do whatever you want, of course. As said, even if you want to use directly my voids to get your panel lines and details it's no problem, I made for people to use it. And no, I'm not a "rivet counter" ;). Be aware, mechanical layer is 4.09m void, so it's an Emil, yes, but, being a lot of work apart, I simply consider it was a very small detail on external view to worth the effort. If you get that to be better fitted for the model will be great ;). For wheels I suppose you mean "gear legs"? or wheels (tyres) because tyres are not in skin. But yes that could be also better. Anyway, if you find any panel line not to be where it should be, you can fix it... ;D ;D
