RealDarko, what's the template purpose? I mean, what skin do you need? If they are SCW, please download my skins, it was a lot of work and, with total humility, you won't find anything closest to the real thing. If anything else PM contact me and may be we reach some kind of arrangement.

Anything to negotiate Crazyflak, I made void and default skin for that aircraft, I didn't release any template because I don't like my "workbench" with all my "secrets" :D to be public, but if needed I can try some kind of simple template for people to use it. Anyway, may be our friend MIKEGTJK have something better than original.

Are there any secrets left when it comes to graphic manipulation? There are hundreds of templates already released and all the various techniques can probably be found in one or a combination of them ... or else there are dozens of monthly magazines that publish graphic tips and techniques ... there are no secrets ... making templates has more to do with experience and being able to get hold of unwraps and placement of the parts ... knowing where to put what ... and being willing to invest the time and effort necessary to make it ...

You are probably right Agracier, many templates and techniques has been released before, even I learned lot of things of course from others at my start and even now. But I didn't mean anyway "graphic manipulation", or "digital" secrets, I mean hand paint techniques and how I do things like I myself like to do it. While using Photoshop, I suppose like many others, I paint skins "the old way", that's like if it were and oil painting or something like that, I use many "effects" layers (hand painted, not photoshop tricks) like in a painting. I make lots of test, I finetune many things, even with same layers I usually don't make 2 skins the same thing if paint changes and always I have to tune layers for that depending on the base colour. So, I'm very "apprehensive" to release a template a see how effects layers that I so hardly finetuned to look the better are used in a wrong way and/or not tuned at all over a wrong paint and all of it with my name... May be I'm too "neurotic" about that, but at the moment that's my point. Anyway, as said, a simple template with only panel lines layers for example may be released. Will see to make it, but also, all of you are talking about "B model", but that means four models with different panel lines, that didn't help with my apprehension to release my work and see it used in a wrong way, you see... ::)

i've a template, B/C/D/D-late, but afaik RealDarko still don't have photoshop and unfortunately my psd is all but compatible with PSP :(

on a side note, i partially quote ManOWar (voids -no template, voids- i've used are by him, again thanks) about the reasons against sharing this particular psd.. there are so many layers by me and by many others i can't count (check the credits on my skins), and was NEVER meant to be relased, because there is an hard work by me AND -MORE IMPORTANT- even more hard work by other people whose layers were carefullyplaced on early109 template i use..

i wish i had a scratchbuilt psd/psp, as for my PorcoRosso template, it was created to be published..

It will depend on which version of Paint Shop Pro you are talking about ... PSP7 is limited to 100 layers and will not open a file with more than 100 layers, but other versions will ...

I am currently working on one - It'll be a B-2 at the moment, but if I can find some good reference materials I can add some layers for the other versions too... I shall try to be quick, but haste makes waste, eh? Around a week or so should see it completed to a usable extent... Which format would you like? I work in PSP9 but I can export to various.

As for the fact that there are other templates out there, well, having a little variety can't hurt too much, can it?

Also, if I might pitch in, there is no "right" or "wrong" way to use templates, it really is completely up to the imagination of the user - so long as proper credit is given where due, no?

of course :) when something is relased to the public, no complaints can be made.. i've always reworked templates to my personal taste.. maybe i'm over-possessive only with this specific template :D
