No flickers, some tiny micro stutters over London (sight seeing). I can tell you i had ATI Cat. Drivers 12.10 Beta, and I had stutter's, flicker's and all sort of sh#ty performance, even in IL2 1946, so I reloaded 12.9 Beta. Life is ok now. Well as soon as I can get a beer or 2. ;D

 My Specs:
XFX HD 7770 1GB GPU
Thermaltake 600w PSU
ASUS M5A99FX PRO R2.0 Mobo
AMD FX 4170 Bulldozer 4core CPU
RAM 8GB-2x Corsair XMS3 4GB DDR3
Seagate High Perf. Barracuda 1TB HDD.
WIN7 Home Prem. 64bit

Hi Big Foot

Ah......... you are a green ! like me. I like these troublesome ATI cards !.

Thanks for your quick answer.

I am under 12.8 Driver.
Did you experiment this one and what kind of results did you get. ?
Should I move to 12.9 like you did ?

I suppose that with 12.9 beta you are still using Atioglxx.dll in Il-2 1946

Could you please specify your CCC settings ?

As for today underr COD I also have , like you say " stutter's, flicker's and all sort of sh#ty performance " but it's real fine under DBW1.71 (with atioglxx.dll ).

Thanks for your help.

Sonny :)

Sonny, ATI 7000 Series cards dont have to use the xx.dll in iL2 1946. Ever since Cat. 11.6 Drivers. But you should give 12.9Beta a try, your Vcard may perform better, I just know??. Here in the near future, Im upgrading to HD 7870, its just over $200.00 us, so thats my goal. I was going to get a 6950 but the store I bought the 7770 didnt have 6000 cards, lol. Im glad now. I hope you can come to some kind of compromise with your Vcard for the Better.

And my first landing attempt with settings at real in the "Spit on me tail" Gig.

Very stoical pilot indeed !.
Good for a new wheel and tire ! Forget about the prop blade , just a little muscle !

No wonder having such a controlled crash after your "few" beers !  :D

Sonny  :)

P.S. I'll move to 12.9 and will keep you posted.

I thought that the 7000 serie were better than the 6900 serie , or Am I wrong ?

Hi Big Foot

Yeah , you may be right but ain't got the bucks ...

Moreover I am a little bit f..... up for the time being. >:( Have a look at my posts on the Full Monty thread.
Whatever I can do , no way to get TFM working with MONTY PACK 15 added. I tried everything but no way...70% crash.
This dates from the day I wanted to install PACK 14-15-16-17 and 18.
And , as I can't get a log of what happens , I can understand that no one is going to help me.
Do you know a way to get a logfile besides this  that doesn't work in my TFM

[Console]

HISTORY=1024
HISTORYCMD=1024
LOAD=console.cmd
SAVE=console.cmd
LOG=1 // 0
LOGTIME=1 // 0
LOGFILE=log.lst
//LOGFILE=logfile.txt
LOGKEEP=0

I tried with and without Storebror Instant Log

As far as my Vid card is concerned I am quite happy with it under Il-2 (45 FPS average ), Rise of Flight (FPS blocked at 40 ) and DCS World.(plus/minus 30 everything maxed.)
I prefer to put bucks aside as long as this COD is not finalized.( So , you see I really have plenty of time to spare my bucks! :P)

Sonny .  :)

Sonny; Im here to help you have and enjoy TFM . But first we need to see what is causing your CTD the log.lst file is commented in this way:
Find your game's conf.ini. use this link info to configure your PC.    http://www.axis-and-allies-paintworks.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?2678
[Console]
HISTORY=1024
HISTORYCMD=1024
LOAD=console.cmd
SAVE=console.cmd
LOG=1 <--- all that needs to be to activate the log. Thats all.
LOGTIME=0
LOGFILE=PUNISHER <---- Name it something you can recognise.
LOGKEEP=0 <--- means it will keep data stored, dont activate this. It will create and keep a dump every time you launch your  game, "not needed"

Ok now that you got it configured go launch your game and at the bottom of the file, data will be your answer to why its crashing, but the answer is hard to define unless you have seen and fixed that query before. Get crakin.

See this I don't get.. I just bought Rise of Flight.. Gameplay/Graphics/texture-mesh detail every bit as good (or better) then CLoD, and have no problems what so ever on my rig running RoF with everything set to 'High'. Including an un-Godly amount of A/C flying around. Try the same with CLoD.. and maybe 8-12FPS if I'm lucky. 30fps+ always with RoF. I mean.. how are they coding CLoD? With Einstien equations & multiples of 1000000s?

Its not looking too bad now though.  Certainly playable, particularly online.

I guess that depends on your definition of playable.
Offline, no way.
