may I ask a question, according to the air.ini, i see two versions of Fw 190 A-6:

FW-190A-6orig
FW-190A-6

What is the difference between them?
It is mainly a difference in motorisation!
FW-190A-6orig (early version) - air.FW_190A6RLP - use FW-190A-5 FMD
FW-190A-6 - air.FW_190A6 - use FW-190A6_RLP FMD

The following data is taken from the original flight models of the Mod!

FW-190A-5 FMD =
[Mass]
  Empty 3000.0
  TakeOff 4000.0
  Oil 50.0
  Fuel 394.0
[Engine]
  Engine0Family BMW_800_Series
  Engine0SubModel BMW801D-2_A4-A-7 (HorsePowers 1600 - BoostFactor 1.13)
[Params]
  Vmin 207.0
  Vmax 670.0
  VmaxAllowed 900.0
  VmaxH 660.0

FW-190A6_RLP FMD =
[Mass]
  Empty 3300.0
  TakeOff 4100.0
  Oil 50.0
  Fuel 394.0
[Engine]
  Engine0Family BMW_800_Series
  Engine0SubModel BMW801D-2_A5-A7 (HorsePowers 1560 - BoostFactor 1.12)
[Params]
  Vmin 190.0
  Vmax 563.0
  VmaxAllowed 900.0
  VmaxH 650.0

I see, that is noted.  Thank you for the explanation.  I will keep both Fw 190 A-6s in the list.

I use propellers from Jeronimo. Once I refine my vision FW-190 - I will send you for evaluation. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. But ... let's not anticipate the facts
Thanks for the files  :D.

Edit: I found a photo of the flap with a notch. It turned out that this solution was used.

Edit 2: Mick - check PM.

Edit 3: Mick - make room in your inbox - it's full and messages don't come.  Move the Textures and TexturesFW190 catalogs to the Plane directory. Let me know if it helped.

The Bunrindo/Japan description is faulty
A-4/U8 the first Jabo Rei conversion (Weserflug/Junkers Racks) from which G-1 (Weserflug/Junkers Racks) was developped. Both being different in Setup.
A-5/U8  (Weserflug/Junkers Racks) was going to be changed to G-2 (Messerschmitt Racks). Only racks made the difference, nearly identical Setup.

These early Jabos (U8) and G-1 sporting the Weserflug Racks seemed to use up a larger Type Droptank,
we know several versions existed of Type B/C/D/E drop tanks. The shape even varied. Some Bf109 and Doras even used
up cylindrical Tanks.

the smaller tanks wouldn't necessarly mean a cutout must be made.

This can indicate why some G-1 sported this cutout flaps. Curious as not all had the cutout.
Another important fact the A-4/5 U8s-G-1 Weserflug types were limited in numbers, at G-1 we know only 29 built, all went to SKG210.
G-2 or Messerschmitt racks on G-2 had more than 600 produced,

Evidence of sth. different, alternate G-1 rack+ different Tank, while in service, the Flaps holes Rack was shot early in production, during evaluation.
G-1 underwent heavy retrofitting while in Service. As almost all early Jabos, Units even used Hammer to
weld bumps to fit Bombs, some saw off fins from Bombs, just what they preferred to get sth. fixed.
I've seen Musterflugzeuge with other type racks that had these holes too, i.e. V44 WNr. 855 (G-1 Prototype). As in these early Droptank Tests, the large
Droptanks got used up and bracing thas flat.
What we know this stage of Jabo development (Weserflug/Messerschmitt Rack times) were most chaotic, as they had to
find a suiting standard. Their Einheits or Fw190 rack still on the drawing board.
Units later switched the racks to Fw/Einheits Rack when they became avaibale in larger number and production settled to F-3/G-3 models.
Even that is to locate under the high losses these Units suffered and these Racks played a marginal role.

Hi folks,

Just figured out that Claymore's pits have missing damage textures for panel gauges:
DA5GP1.mat
DA5GP1_night.mat
DA5GP2.mat
DA5GP2_night.mat
DA5GP4.mat
DA5GP4_night.mat
DA5GP1.tga
DA5GP1_night.tga
DA5GP2.tga
DA5GP2_night.tga
DA5GP4.tga
DA5GP4_night.tga
...all missing.

Affected aircraft:
Fw 190 A-5
Fw 190 A-5 1.42 ATA
Fw 190 A-5 1.58 ATA
Fw 190 A-5 1.65 ATA
Fw 190 A-5 U-14
Fw 190 A-6
Fw 190 A-6 1.65 ATA
Fw 190 A-6 "RLP"
Fw 190 A-7
Fw 190 A-7 "Sturm"
Fw 190 F-2
Fw 190 F-2 Trop
Fw 190 F-3
Fw 190 G-1
Fw 190 G-2
Fw 190 G-3

Interesting to see how this went unnoticed for all those years...
This issue affects the standalone package (this thread) in all supported game versions, BAT and Ultrapack.
The files are simply missing from the SFS archives.

Does anyone have a clue whether this issue ever got addressed - by the IES team maybe?

Hi Herr Doktor

I'd just read your question and as soon as I'd checked all IES folders and java.
These files are included in IES pits and are (I think) workable, due to their presence in the java files.
Unfortunatly I am only working for IES (very slowly, I am not  as talented as F-Red) , but if someone wants the java, the folders, the sfs folder with the filelist to extract this folder, this will be a great pleasure to give them.
Perhaps Gabi or Knochenlutscher?

I am searching for...
It can't be that bad... for 11 years no one has picked up the error.

How can these mat files and TGA miss if they are part of the stock FW-190A-5 pit? at least the A-5, A-5 1.65 and A-6 shouldn't be affected by the problem

This is the extracted Stock A-5 pit with the missing files

Just figured out that Claymore's pits have missing damage textures for panel gauges:
DA5GP1.mat
DA5GP1_night.mat
DA5GP2.mat
DA5GP2_night.mat
DA5GP4.mat
DA5GP4_night.mat
DA5GP1.tga
DA5GP1_night.tga
DA5GP2.tga
DA5GP2_night.tga
DA5GP4.tga
DA5GP4_night.tga
...all missing.
You can add to your list:
DA5GP3
DA5GP3_night
...

Bravo !
This pack has been around for 11 years and these files are missing!  o_O
I have just tested the A-5 cockpit by forcing via some meshes the appearance of these mat files!
And indeed they are missing.  :-X
Of course it's not fatal, we never have some broken dials, that's all!
I will continue the check and extraction with the IES pack !  ;)

If you want to do the test...
https://www.mediafire.com/file/5tl10nkuzwimjxh/TESTS_FW-190.7z/file
To test, deactivate the mat and tga files... if in the game you get a blue screen... it's not good !
By reactivating the mat and tga files you will see some broken dials !

DA5GP3
DA5GP3_night
Funny enough I've had these ;)

I have just tested the A-5 cockpit by forcing via some meshes the appearance of these mat files!
Exactly what I did, just that I did so for the A-7, but effectively it's the same.
This is probably the reason why no one ever complained: The meshes will only get activated when proper damage occurs, and even then, the game will silently log the error and just proceed. In a way...

Of course it's not fatal, we never have some broken dials, that's all!
Yes and no.
We have no exception handler here.
I would yet have to find out where the game actually catches the error to judge how much code gets jumped across when this happens.
It may or may not have side effects.

If you want to do the test...
https://www.mediafire.com/file/5tl10nkuzwimjxh/TESTS_FW-190.7z/file
Thanks a lot, will check this evening!
May I ask where you got the files? Extracted from IES?

Yes !
But I want to check all the cockpit codes to see what "mat" is used!
It seems that the cockpits created entirely use other "mat" files!

The strange thing is that I found these files in the SFS stocks.
So why the blue screen in the test for the A-5?

In the ones posted here? Strange.
I know of inaccessible files inside SFS archives especially when wav files are involved, but in that case you should be unable to extract them with our "tools" as well.
Other than that, I could only think of the SFS archives' case sensitivity that could yield unexpected results if case doesn't match (which gets ignored if the file is loaded from a windows filesystem, in contrast to a file from within an SFS archive, i.e. DA5GP1.mat != da5gp1.mat != DA5GP1.MAT for SFS (actually all three files could sit together in an SFS archive), but for Windows they're all the same.

So far my test yields odd results.
I seem to get night textures shown when damaged day ones are supposed to be.
Will have to dig deeper into it tomorrow.
