I checked the download stats there have been a number of downloads for part 2.

Anyone else having problems with the downloads?

This is an excellent idea, and many thanks :) :)

However, I too cannot download - I'm afraid Gamefront simply does not work for me here in Vietnam.  :(

Is there any chance that anyone can offer alternative d/l links (Mediafire, Rapidshare) for this?

Thanks in advance  :)

1.7 Hotfix out which addresses the AI Catapult issue.  Therefore, when you install the hotfix, you can disable/delete the included jsgme mod (#DBW_AI_Fix_1_7) that included the fix.  Also, when you install the hotfix, you will need to update your Air.ini file located in your #DBW_MOD_Aircraft pack.  The file is found in STD/com/...drill all the way down.../air.ini.  Basically add the new lines noted in the hotfix documentation.  You will also need to update your plane_ru and weapons_ru which are also located in STD/i18n with the updated entries for those two files.  BE SURE to disable the Aircraft pack in GME before making the edits (only edit files found in "jsgmemods" folder.

Also, be sure to disable all mods in GME before applying the hotfix!

enjoy!

PS:  Updated Maps pack coming.  I cleaned up the contents and included the retextured, revilliged, recitied, Crimea map!  Stay tuned for new link for this pack only on the original post.

Hello WW!

just to let you know, I was able to download all parts now-it worked :)
and just a quick question as well-I did not have time to ahve a looked at the extracted files: if I do not want to add the map additions, can I simply leave them out when adding the other stuff via JSME?
I am starting from scratch with a stock DBW ini file selection safe the objects.ini and the all.ini in the mapmods folder;

many thanks in advance

hey phil!

Glad the packs are working for you.  As for the Maps pack, yes, simply do not enable it in GME and you can leave the map additions out of your DBW 1.7 modded install.

Additionally for those who have downloaded and enabled these packs, have you had any issues?  Since release of DBW 1.7.1, I have not had any issues with all of the packs enabled over vanilla DBW, including the landing gear damage mod.  No CTDs, exploding aircraft at spawn, or other anomalies.  There remains some errors noted in the Java console, but the numbers seem less than when all packs were enabled in DBW 1.6.  Perhaps the reduction in the aircraft slots per the 1.7 update really helped to reduce the java load/limit allowing the mods to function better in game.

Additionally, I ran the mod checker app on the complete mod pack set and though there are a number of conflicts reported usually tied to the damaged gear mod, I have not seen any issues.   Also, I have updated to correct for duplicate calls so the checker reports zero count in that category.  Also, the mod load/sequence order is optimized for best usage/call based upon the mods included in this comprehensive set.

All in all, with vanilla 1.7.1 DBW and this complete mod set (minus the 1.7 fix for AI carrier catapult (if you have 1.7.1 you can disable/delete #DBW_AI_fix_DBW_1_7); the complete pack set appears to function quite well!

Is it working well for you?

is there a clear and seperate file in this pak for gear damage mod? thats all I really need. thanks.

The Gear Damage mod is contained within the Aircraft pack, and the main item here is sequence order.  Basically, when all packs are enabled, this mod is first.  Plutonimum's Effects pack is also included with DBW AI mod support and this is also sequentially set to fire at a specific order when all pack mods are enabled.  I believe that issues with the gear damage mod can stem from a number of scenarios, and with the multitude of various configurations people may have in their DBW install, issues can arise.  However, in these packs, so far since 1.7 release, I have not seen game freezes/CTDs which I experienced previously stemming both from, I believe, the Java limit as well as class firing sequence.

Note, I have not spent a lot of time in the ETO with DBW and these packs, as I primarily fly PTO.  Therefore, if anyone flying ETO can report if all is good or if they experienced any issues, please do.

thx!

Re-installed these new ones after editing out the old,& everything works fine, but I do have a question regarding both old & new versions of DBW Packs:By activating the new A/C Packs s in JSGME they,in essence (by way of changing the STD files) will eliminate any other new aircraft that I manually had loaded before the activation, in the DBW folder. In my case the new mod of the 4.11 TBD Devastator & the Russian Pe-8 & TB-3 with new interiors- they disappeared from my useable plane list.To get them to work I must go back & 'reload' them in STD files, correct? This will happen in the future if more A/Cs are added in some future Pack as well...correct as well?
Not a big deal , but i would like to make sure I've got the sequence right.
Again many thanks for this pack-o-fun...will never go back to another install-DBW has it all! :D
