Carmaster,

After experimenting with these I have some questions.

Is there possibility to somehow add this FogHaze to the missions, so that any mission maker could specified it in the missions he makes. Or maybe some option to enable it more easily?

Also, I saw many “disabled” options, like “Additive Phong” lighting and shading. Is there a possibility that could be enabled one day?

Here it is, just to illustrate how good this “FogHaze” are. Notice colors of the ground and the water. On all images is same time of the day and weather set as "good".

I've found this: http://simhq.net/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/1223017/Information_for_Add_on_Develop.html

Seems to be many unknown settings for IL2.

Could be interesting carsmaster.

Cheers

Carmaster

I don't know if you saw this already, but it is very interesting. It is new type of anti aliasing for the games. Those concrete files are for injecting it to the games. What is interesting for us, is that it even works for OpenGL. And what is even more interesting is that there are incorporated filters such as Bloom, Technicolor, and few others.

It is post processing filters, which means that they don't work (or mess) with the in-game engine, they just process image on the screen on the end (how I did understand that) so it doesn't mater the engine, doesn't mater is it DirectX or OpenGL. At least author says that.

Problem is that no one still didn't make dll for injecting it in OpenGL games (not many of them, so thats why).

Here are the files:

http://www.assembla.com/spaces/fxaa-pp-inject/documents

And here is explanation from the author (one of the Nvidia's programmers, it seems). He explains how is it working and even how to make it for old versions of OpenGL, such as 1.3:

http://developer.download.nvidia.com/assets/gamedev/files/sdk/11/FXAA_WhitePaper.pdf

Maybe can be useful  :)

Hi guys, just a simple question: where is the FogHaze parameter to be found? Searched in my conf.ini without success......

Hi guys, just a simple question: where is the FogHaze parameter to be found? Searched in my conf.ini without success......

There are a few parameters that apparently do not appear in the stock conf.ini

The keep text to x-lines is one of the classic examples.

I simply added the lines to my conf.ini like this here:

HardwareShaders=0
FogLow=2
FogHaze=3
Shadows=2
Specular=2

And while the effect is rather subtle, I do think it works, even without this mod ... just try it out, but if you're not familiar with editing the conf.ini, make a backup first of course.
