Seafires MkI, II, II 4xHispano, II Merlin45, II Merlin50
« on: October 27, 2009, 06:41:21 PM »

This is a combo mod of the old mods of these planes (the 45 and 50) and the 3 new improved mods. Veltro is the maker of these with help from Gitano. I am not sure if the new three replace the old ones, or supercede them or compliment them, but I included them anyway, just made them share the same mesh so they dont hog resources.

I have repacked them to get the download size from over 20MB to under 5. I did this by removing superfluous RAF slots . All is now RAF.
I include new default skins for some by Robo,Kristorf,FBS and Jester.

Lines to add to air.ini:

SeafireMkI        air.SEAFIRE1 1                        NOINFO  1830sq SUMMER
SeafireMkII       air.SEAFIRE2C 1                       NOINFO  1830sq SUMMER
SeafireMkII4xH    air.SEAFIRE2C4 1                      NOINFO  1830sq SUMMER
SeafireMkII45     air.SEAFIRE245 1                              1830sq DESERT
SeafireMkII50     air.SEAFIRE250 1                              1830sq DESERT

Optional lines for planes and weapons included in the download

Download Seafires!!!

S! to Veltro, thanx for letting me post your cool mods here.

What is the difference between SeafireMkII and the other seafire MkII variants? I know the difference between the 45 and 50, but what is the standard one?

no idea. the only reason we, and hsfx, keep these 45 and 50's, is for continuation, or online compatibility.

S! all guys!

Yes, what irX says.
Merlin 45 and 50 was the first release and it was better to removed it, but for the online compatibility is still there. BTW, i think they have been removed now from HSFX.

Hi all, a 'little late' reaction from me; sorting my skins - as usual - I found that I still had the old Seafire mod from AAA.
I dl'ed this one looks very good, but so did the old one.
Now I've got a question for Circx or 150GCT_Veltro: Would it be possible to alter the Mk IIc with two guns to a 'non Vokes filter' version? While skin sorting I saw that both versions were used, sometimes the same plane was flown with filter and without filter. And this version could perhaps double as a Mk Vc without filter as well?

no idea actualy. it should be doable, but Anto's got his head in spitfire mode at the moment, he would be the guy to do it i think, my head is in the middle of a Finnish Campaign I've been playing for 2 weeks now lol :D I am afraid if I see a Spirfire now, I will shoot it down. ;D

This is brilliant!!!
Is there any chance of the normal nosed ones in the future without the big tropical air filter?

I have the Seafires MkII, but the Seafire MkI won't show up for me.

I am running 4.12.1 SAS Modact 5.22

Any clues why the IIs work, but the MKI won't even appear in QMB.  I did make the change Guzknife suggested.
