Hello everybody,
now because we have TD 4.12 version, maybe it's time for DBW 1.8 (or higher) compatible to 4.12 ?  :) ;) :D

"maybe it's time for" doesn't mean that it can be. Sorry but it doesn't sound "that" simple. However, once we can get a stable code work with our core java class, it is considerable.

yeah, these things take time.
we are not a factory that can just push out new stuff the second there is a new patch.
of course, we have long since been considering a new DBW, but the reality is that it's still some way off, if it even happens at all.
please, no requests for a new DBW. if/when we can do it, we will.

OK, thanx, and sorry for my impatience, but 4.12 is very promising. And I can't wait to have it with goodies from excellent DBW 1.71.
So in the meantime I will use SAS Mod Activator v5.1 for 4.12m (maybe it will make possible to import some mods from DBW):

A great addition to DBW next version would be a p-40 pack consisting of the p-40F, p-40N, and P-40L. Here's why: at around 14,000 the p-40 is the third most produced US fighter ever. The largest in numbers, and best variant was the p-40N. It was the final production model and included a 1,360hp motor. It could achieve a top speed of 378 mph. This would be a great addition to DBW and would enhance gameplay in China, MTO, and PTO. It was flown until the end of the war.

Here are links: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Curtiss_P-40_variants; http://www.p40warhawk.com/Variants/P-40N.htm

I would like to see someone restart  making the Whirlwind for us, the modder (I don´t remember who it was) killed the project some time ago so there should be room for someone else to pick it up and give it a new start. Please! (I´m no  modder myself and I think this is my first request ever!)

I have another request...would it be possible to replace the in game trees with much better trees such as these: http://www.3dmentor.ru/free-models.html ; and these: http://www.klicker.de/plants.html. The trees in Il-2 (especially the Palm trees, 2d Banana trees, and layered forest trees. If the next DBW included updated trees such as these it would really improve the virtual environment IMO.

It would be great to see The Full Monty and DBW 1.71 in one big pack already merge into one pice without those problems with instalation. Just d/l, unzip, open one instalation program and than simply launch Il.
