Great work mate!

About the flying AA and crew you must to edit their location in the hier file , the position x-y-z are the 3 last digit of the attaching line!

About the Nose and tail columns them can be only rised with a 3d editing!

About the plane the spawn points need to be reedited!

I belive that out great teacher ashes 'll help in this!

Anyway this beauty now seem more like a Shoho/Chitose CVL class than the Ryujo which have the hangar deck more high over the bow....if correctly skinned we need at least 2 slot for the operation that see a couple of them together like the Marianas and Philippine Sea battles!!!

All the best!

Walter is right about the gun crew -- edit in hier.him
If the gun is facing to port or starboard then the x and y coordinates are reversed.

The aircraft exploding when they spawn is because the spawn point is too low.

You will need Hull1.msh Hull2.msh and Hull3.msh in text format.
Use mshconverter to convert from binary format to text format.

You need to look for text like this

Code: [Select]
[Hooks]
_Light00 <BASE>
_LPark00 <BASE>
_LPark01 <BASE>
_LPark04 <BASE>
_LPark05 <BASE>
_RWY_TO <BASE>

[HookLoc]
3.10437E-07 -3.04935E-07 1 -1 6.85154E-08 -1.56802E-07 -3.66082E-08 -1 -1.72806E-07 0.000643747 9.20379 17.8797
3.10437E-07 -3.04935E-07 1 -1 6.85154E-08 -1.56802E-07 -3.66082E-08 -1 -1.72806E-07 -8.50394 -32.3772 12.8797
3.10437E-07 -3.04935E-07 1 -1 6.85154E-08 -1.56802E-07 -3.66082E-08 -1 -1.72806E-07 -9.00394 -3.95761 12.8797
3.10437E-07 -3.04935E-07 1 -1 6.85154E-08 -1.56802E-07 -3.66082E-08 -1 -1.72806E-07 9.65384 -3.95761 12.8797
3.10437E-07 -3.04935E-07 1 -1 6.85154E-08 -1.56802E-07 -3.66082E-08 -1 -1.72806E-07 8.65384 -32.3772 12.8797
//0 -1 0  1 0 0  0 0 1  0 -27.6849 12.8797 //original rwy_to
1 0 0  0 1 0  0 0 1  0 -27.6849 12.8797

It may be different in your model.

Start by increasing the z coordinate for _RWY_TO
In the example it is the last row of coordinates in [HookLoc]

Thanks walter!

Anyway this beauty now seem more like a Shoho/Chitose CVL class than the Ryujo which have the hangar deck more high over the bow....if correctly skinned we need at least 2 slot for the operation that see a couple of them together like the Marianas and Philippine Sea battles!!!

Your impression is also I feel.
Now version side view is here

Ryujo has high deck and dangerous ship to rollover.
But this 3D model (based on IJNCVGeneric) hanger deck and ship body are one model.
If vector Z parameter add to 95% or 100%, ship body will be high together.
Umm... I inspirate! vector Z add to 100% and posision z minus... looks like more Ryujo?

I feel its easy to make Shoho CVL class with a little lower deck decrease vector Z parameter.

Chitose class is more low deck I look.
From wikipedia
http://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/%E3%83%95%E3%82%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%AB:Japanese_aircraft_carrier_Chitose_cropped.jpg

It is also able to decrease vector Z parameter.

But one problem is here.
Shoho/Chitose's chimny is one and small.
I cannot walk away 3D model editing some application???

By the way...
Umm... I cannot find "Stack" in IJNCVGeneric(Ryujo) Hier.him.
Left one = SSC is Stack?
Now editing SSC's y position and see what to happen.

SSC is the building of bridge. I have confirmed.
gio963tto moved SSC from on the deck into the Hull, hiding and made no looking from away.
It's a nice magic :D

But now inside SSC will be surplus to make Hull higher or lower.
I decided to remove SSC from ships.ini and Hier.him.

Didn't the bow stick out in front of the deck significantly?

Btw, good work.

Ashe

_RWY_LDG ?

_RWY_TO is only in Hull1.msh
_RWY_LDG is only in Hull3.msh
Aircraft SPAWN point is on Hull3.

And I see Ryujo is disappearence in Game when _RWY_LDG increase too more.
But lower happens explotion.
It's hard to find right parameter to SPAWN.

Slowly but I do my best.

_RWY_TO is the right to SPAWN. I see.

Sorry, my little question.

When I make a single mission by FMB, and set a stationary ship(Ryujo), and set a airplane takeoff on the ship.
And I save the mission as a single mission playable folder.

After it, I change _RWY_TO z position parameter in Hull1.msh of Ryujo.
And I run IL-2 1946, choise Single Mission to load the mission.
IL-2 1946 Programs decides the airplane SPAWNING point(z position) when?
If the time deciding is in FMB setting waypoint, only loading the Single Mission , parameter doesn't reflect, airplane continues explosion.
Or, does parameter reflect at Single Mission starts?
So, do I have to set FMB waypoint One time, One time, at changing Hull1.msh or not?

Now I have a new trouble... :(

Only I use MshConverter Hull1.msh to text type, no changes in it, skin texture mapping is wrong.
Like this.

Why...?

The same trouble is happend at Hull3.msh.

Here is the latest BETA version Ryujo.
https://www.mediafire.com/?fvlul9nyl3c8rk0
In 3do...IJNRyujoCV folder, Hull1.msh and Hull3.msh are converted to text.
If you want to do with original binary Hull1.msh and Hull3.msh, there are in IJNRyujoCV4.10 folder.

When converting binary .msh files to text format you need to use these save options.

U Offset  0
V Offset  0
U Scale   1
V Scale   1

chitose class

shoho class

Hi mate!

Even if the dech height is quite different between them I believe that they anyway are too much similar even if you don't manage to reproduce both correct height due the deck support at bow and stern.....and anyway the game difference can be simply reproduced with the different name of the slot as SHOHO class CVL for one slot and CHITOSE class CVL for the other and different skinning.

All the best!

Oh. I have done in

U Offset  0
V Offset  -1
U Scale   1
V Scale   -1

But now, I try your parameters.
Ryujo is disapper... cannot set in FMB, cannot see.

So, I will try other parameters as

U Offset  0
V Offset  0
U Scale   1
V Scale   -1

Here are the Hull1 and Hull3 .msh files converted to text format.
https://www.mediafire.com/?gwf3lx80l7983v7

I do not know what the problem is, those save options work for me. I have tested the converted files ingame and they do not seem to cause any issues.
