Ok, slightly off-topic, sometime ago there was some peeps, talking about a Sky Crawlers 'Sanka' skins for the Kyushu J7W1, so here just after Chrimbo, are some Sanka's ready for your usage; 262-01, 262-02 & a Blank with number boardings and blank prop hub to colour.

Mediafire link for their 3-in-1 Zip

I hope you like them...
Fixed Gun Barrel Bore Colourings & some minor details.
PS. Who might like a Skyly 'Teacher' version of... (either FW190-D9/D13?, Sea Fury? or some other suggested hack) for January sometime.
Hope you had a Happy Chrimbo & wishing a great New Year to ALL!

Probably use either the D-13 or 15 for the Skyly, and TYVM for the Sanka skin hack :D

In the words of Willie the Janitor
"It ain't pretty, but it'll do."
Well, I tried to do more to this before release - locate exhaust pipe opening in the side engine exit vents and spent days thinking of the rear fuz antiglare panel, but so far is ok. Enjoy All

You could use the Corsair to make it look like the plane (dont remeber the name) wich Cheetah flew before he became the teacher and joined Lautern.

I'm afraid that although I posses a small collection of anime & some translated manga, I do not have anything relating to the background of Sky Walkers, except for the film itself.
I have been having some mapping/skinning trouble with the 'Dora' Skyly, please might you find info & pictures of Cheetah's plane? I'm thinking of trying a 'Tempest' Skyly - at least it wouldn't have the fusalage extension skining issue of the Dora.

For the Skyly I would take a MiG-3. I already made a skin using the Ta-152 but Because of the Template it didnt looked well.
Here is the other plane I mentioned before.

the Question is: Is it more a FW-190 or more a Corsair...

Kinda looks like a bit of Stuka in the wings there. Even has the clasic FW "Eagle" on the exhaust area.

Batbomb; I'd say more FW, the tail is similar to mcdonnel demon/fury

I dont think the MiG 3 would be suitable for a Skyly - it has some skin mapping issues - much more so around the engine specifically and more overall than the FW's.
In some ways the Lautern J-2 Skyly looks reminisent of a Westland Wyvern http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Westland_Wyvern
