Yep that was a bug that existed with the original Histomod pits. I'll try and find a fix for it. Also a few people have noted that the artificial horizon is the wrong way around. I thought the same but after investigating many pictures of MiG pits, it is correct!

ya i looked at the cockpit on the histo sight and thought this is awesome, sitting in a MiG cockpit my self only a few days ago its very realistic, but the light blue should be a darker color. or maybe that's when they have aged.
but its is really good work. thanks

Just wait for the Jetwar mod, it will include something explosive for you to carry under MiG-15 and MiG-17 wings.  ;)

there is an idea for your first mod for you :)
Find the TGA files for the blue parts, put them in photoshop, and use the image/adjustments/replace color function and play with them a bit. You will have a lot of fun. I did the same with some P39 and other cockpits once. https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/board,68.0.html

PLS Anto Can u make a smaller version of this pits= in lower res (textures in 512x512 or such), becuse i have not such big HDD to "accept" that big ones. Could it be pls between 25 ~ 30 MB?

BTW there is a bug in that 200+ MB version MiG pits - the gunsight looks other not as showed on screenshot.

If u can make it, pls post it as an option to DL in first post>

Thanx, I hope u will do it.

cheers

Very nice. Now we just need to know when the Sabre cockpit will get finished.

US_GRANT, which cockpit do you mean..new version for the Sabres? The current version of Histomod's Sabres is the same that is already available here.
I posted my special wish at Histomod's forum's site..a mirror for at least some Sabre models.. :) Hope that will be doable.
To me FPS are no argue since the Mig-15 has a mirror as well..and it could be made optional.
But since I don't spend hundreds of hours modding these pits, I thankfully take what we have. So far Freddy has produced the best 3D pits I know. Any sim..

Yeah I know Freddys original Sabre cockpit is available, been using it for quite a while. What you are probably unaware of is that I asked the question about finishing the cockpit about a year ago shortly after it came out. There were some missing parts like the mirror and the entire left hand console. When I inquired about it, I was told it was in the works and would get done. Since my squad flies the Sabre as its main acft, we are anxious to get a finished cockpit.

Maybe I have something for you which I downloaded some months ago (no mirrors). Please PM me if you use the Histomod or the UP/HSFX version of the Sabres and I send you what I have (much better).

Cheers
