Ta-152 H-1 Mistel
« on: November 21, 2010, 09:09:44 AM »

Mod represents Mistel version of Ta-152 H-1 with following features:

- improved pilot control over the drone (flaps & airbrakes can be operated);
- radio control over the drone after detachment (by bombsight keys, like guided missile);
- remote detonation (by pressing detach key second time);
- working motor-cannon ammo counter;
- Askania EZ 42 gyro-gunsight, calibrated to Allies wingspan range, with rotating wingspan knob ((!) gyro mode not working while docked).

Weapon loadouts, reflecting some RLM experiments with new MK 213 cannon, is as follows:
default (MK 108/30 Motorkanone)
MK 103/30 Motorkanone
MK 213/30 Motorkanone
MG 213/20 Motorkanone

MK 213 loadouts will appear, only if U have installed some mod with MK 213 cannon (Me-410 mod, for example, by Hunin, Mr.Jolly, VPMedia, Zeppo. Slow, Zorin).

Also, if U have my Mistel_RC or last FW-190A/F mod installed, this mod will benefit from it - properly working Ju-88 chassis covers, available Walter-Starthilferaketen.

TA-152H-1 Mistel mission can be found in Single Missions > Germany > Ta-152H-1. It's a TA-152 version of stock Mistel bridge attack mission.

To install, unpack RAR folder into your game root directory.
To have new AC available if QMB & FMB, I recommend to add
following line in air.ini file:

Ta-152H-1Mistel  air.TA_152H1MSTL 2     NOINFO  g01  SUMMER #NOQUICK

and another line in plane_ru.properties file (optional):

 Ta-152H-1Mistel      Ta-152H-1 Mistel, 1945

Viel Glück !

Great work, nice one ;)

MK 213/20 Motorkanone
MK 213/30 Motorkanone

The naming conventions for german weapons usually start with the smaller one reflecting the base name, where every calibre of 20mm or smaller is usually called "MG".
Either of these versions are common for the 213:

MG 213 or MG 213/C for the 20mm version
MK 213, MK 213/C, MK 213/30 or MG 213 C/30 for the 30mm version, where the latter is rarely seen.

Best regards - Mike

So, U trying to say, the chassis of pilot and drone aircraft was operating simultaneously. Interesting. I need to learn more about this.

AFAIK, they somehow installed MK-103 instead of MK-108 motor-cannons on later models. Just with less ammo.

Thx, but U are such verbalist, Storebror  8)

O'k, there is update wth synchronous gears operation (but AI retracts pilot AC gears anyway, probably thinking, it's already flying).
Also, MG 213/20 name fixed.

C'mon, U flatter me  ;)
BTW, I'm going to do same thing to Mistel variant of FW-190A-8. There has accumulated a number of changes for FW-190A/F mod.

Interestingly enough, synchronous landing gear doesn't seem to be consistent... had never noticed this before
So, gears could be operated independently, or grease monkeys retracting it manually prior sortie.
