Why do you use 30 fps instead of 60 ?

I was having trouble with Fraps so I switched to Bandicam.
It cost about the same and it works great.
I haven't had any problems with it.
I have my IL-2 1946 set to 1920 X 1080 .
I capture at 30 fps. I convert the avi files to mt2 files with any video converter and edit in Vegas 12.
I have my folders set up by scene.
The Folder is called Scene order , inside scene order I keep the individual scenes.
 1. Intro scene 2. Monolog scene 3. Cast credits "ekcetra".
Each of the scene folders have subfolders called,
Audio,
Audio FX ,
Finished section,
Footage,
Music,
Stills,
Text,
Veg,
Video FX.
Veg is the Vegas project file folder.
I do this for each scene so I can keep track.
If I want to edit the scene I have everything there.
I do not like the pool because it is to hard to find what you are looking for quickly.
Good movie making.

It would be good to know what software is used by experienced IL-2 video makers today.
5./JG54_s0crazty's guide is 6 years old.
52Zebra has done something in different way, using Bandicam instead of Fraps, etc.

Could you someone else share her/his experience?

Recently, I used Fraps onto *.ntrk file and then immediately Windows Movie Maker program. There are, obviously, some hints, as my video suffers by stuttering. Some advices from an expert would be greatly appreciated.
Video with errors can be d/l here:

I watched your video.
I notice it is low resolution . Can you not record it in 1080p ?

To make the video smoother , you can set the .ntrk track at half speed to record it , then increase the speed by 2 in the video editor .

Done this movie in 2560x1440
Recorded with Nvidia Shadowplay
Edited with Sony Vegas Pro 13

Shooting the clips were done using PALsVisualMOD9, (very nice to get some good camera angles)
Clips have been slightly color modified, contrast was also boosted up.
