Title: PS_Self Stationary Planes Thread all periods of aviation.
Post by: Mission_bug on September 22, 2015, 01:52:06 PM
Hello guys, this is a new thread intended to provide Self Stationary Planes for all periods of aviation history. ;)

Before embarking on this venture I checked that SAS~ Epervier was happy for me to go ahead, the thread is meant to compliment not compete with his thread.

Essentially this thread will cover anything that Epervier does not wish to do such as jets, helicopters and the period WWI, interwar, post war and of course for those
who feel the need flying saucers.  :D

It could also include any WWII aircraft that SAS~Epervier does not intend to do, so if it was a WWII aircraft I would insist that the request be made first in the
Epervier thread and only if he refuses for whatever reason would it be answered in my thread.

I will not add any aircraft that I have already posted into projects I have worked on as they are available with the mods concerned.

Please do not post any long lists or I will delete the whole thread and refuse to make any SSP other than for aircraft I work on.

The thread is mainly intended to produce stationary aircraft for installs that will not except my full stationary mod such as HSFX.

As far as I am aware SSP mods do not work in taxi to take off missions in a 4.12 install, please report back if this proves not to be the case.

Note:

Any aircraft I do will be what works in my 4.12.2 with SAS Modact, I will not install any aircraft into a 4.09, 4.10 or HSFX install to test them.

What this means to you as users is that any aircraft you use will have to have the same air.ini entry as what goes in my 4.12 install, usually
most conversions do, if not you will need to provide me with the air.ini line of your mod and I will make it but you will have to test it.

As requested by PM by AG-51 Hoss, sorry I do not have a Venom/Sea Venom only Vampires.

Please make all requests in this thread and not by personal mail.

Thank you very  much Pete for doing this and adding to the terrific work Epervier does for us.  Would be great to see the F7F-3 and A2N2/3 as time permits.   Thanks again!!

Thank you very  much Pete for doing this and adding to the terrific work Epervier does for us.  Would be great to see the F7F-3 and A2N2/3 as time permits.   Thanks again!!

Not quite sure if these are pre 1936 or later so I may have intruded into Epervier's area here sorry, this thread will take a while to settle in. :-[

Guys please be aware of the years before posting your request as some subjects are outside my usual interests.  ;)

For dona:

(http://i293.photobucket.com/albums/mm42/Mission_bug/Album%202/A2N2and%203_IJN_SSP_zpsel5bsxd1.jpg) (http://s293.photobucket.com/user/Mission_bug/media/Album%202/A2N2and%203_IJN_SSP_zpsel5bsxd1.jpg.html)

What exactly is the difference with these two?

Wising you all the very best, Pete.  ;D

My main focus is on maintaining the 4.12 stationary mod, this thread will probably not get much of a response as quite a lot of things have already been covered in various other ways for the various installs, however, it can act as a compliment to Gabriels thread for the time being to enable users to ask for individual SSP outside of the remit of his existing thread. [Dewoitine520]
Description    Dewoitine520
Icon           Plane

Do you think you could put together a SSP for this plane that would work?

Thanks

Hello Mike, the entries you have there are the ones I use for the stationary in my 4.12 mod but as I pointed out to you they cannot be used on their own only with a larger file that also includes all the stock stationary entries, sorry, that is how that works, so they are no good on their own used for a SSP.

The name used is correct for the Freddy version of the plane and is what I would use to make a SSP but the entries would be slightly different in that case anyway from how they are in my main stationary mod.

Now here is the one given in the Freddy mod:

Self Stationary Planes

894C571864CEDDE2
AF6BBDD43BA9070A

technics

[D520]
Description    D520
Icon           Plane
Class          air.Dewoitine520
PanzerBodyFront      0.002
Explode              WagonMetal

stationary

D520       vehicles.planes.D520Static$D520 1 Same classes Epervier mentions but the entry is what would have been used in the older D520 mod, very confusing. Not sure exactly what is going on here but at the moment I am too tired to try and make sense of it all, sorry. As for making a SSP for you, the rules of this thread are that you ask Epervier first if the aircraft falls into the period that the D520 was made, 1936 -1945, it does and as he is the boss and his thread was here long before mine you must first ask him to please make it for you. ;) Now, if for whatever reason he decides that he will not and he does not need to give you a reason, then you are welcome to ask here and I will have a go for you, but only if Epervier declines your request. Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D Title: Re: PS_Self Stationary Planes Thread all periods of aviation. actually, does anyone know what the deal is with that B2M1 and 2 from avia...?
i'm getting a 20% ctd when trying to load them, log as follows:

Code: [Select]
Spawn.get( com.maddox.il2.objects.air.B2M1 ): com/maddox/il2/objects/air/Biplanexyz[4:26:57 PM] java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: com/maddox/il2/objects/air/Biplanexyz[4:26:57 PM] at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass0(Native Method)[4:26:57 PM] at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)[4:26:57 PM] at java.lang.ClassLoader.defineClass(Unknown Source)[4:26:57 PM] at com.maddox.rts.LDR.loadClass(LDR.java:25)[4:26:57 PM] at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source)[4:26:57 PM] at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(
most probably i missed something in translation, lol, but anyone who could help out, i'd appreciate it... ;)

edit: never mind, figured it out - of course it was crashing 'cause i hadn't yet installed the Hawker Osprey series in this install yet. all is well with my world again. :D

If you have time at some point, could you do SSPs for the Sunderland, Beagle, and PT-17?  Any or all of them would be greatly appreciated and thanks!

Yes I will take a look for you, cannot give a ETA though sorry as I have other things on the go at the moment.  ;)

Strictly speaking the Sunderland falls within Epervier's area, did you ask him first?

No thanks !
1- This aircraft does not exist on this forum! Make your request on the website that broadcasts the aircraft.
2- Because of the flight model used the SSP is not correct!

I have to say that Gabriel has a point on this one and others, that said he has indicated he does not want to do it so the etiquette of our threads has been observed and as such I have said that I will look at any requests from members irrespective of where the aircraft originates as long as it follows certain guidelines and I have it installed.  ;)

In that regard I do not think I actually have a PT-17, is it a hack?

Take care.

I was asking because all three were in your most recently released stationary aircraft pack which for whatever reason usually doesn't work for me but SSPs do.The PT-17 is a frankenversion of the U2 I think. Realize you have lots of other projects so no worries.  If you get a chance to do one of them I'd vote for the IL-28 first.  Again thanks, really enjoy those static objects you've been doing, great stuff!

Hello dona, the IL-28 and Sunderland I did last night they are ready, it was the Stearman that got me I thought they were a PT-13, shows what being a senile old fart does for you. :D

Strange you cannot get the full stationary mod to work for you, what is the issue?

Anyway, if you read this early please check back later your three aircraft should be done. ;)

Thanks for answering this one Gabriel, I have been pre-occupied with real life issues for the last few days so have some catching up to do. ;)

Max, these are done as individual requests so that is why they are in separate folders, you only need to add the particular aircraft you require in your install but yes you can add them together in this instance, the main 4.12 stationary pack is constructed in a different way so all of them are included in one pack.

I also initial them with the letters my Christian and surname just so they can be easily identified if you wish to remove them and cannot be confused with actuall aircraft mods.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

That one falls into the time period of the Epervier thread, I am sure Gabriel will add it soon as he has already provided some fixes for the mod.

If he decides not to then of course I will.

If you have the full stationary mod the java is still in there for the old version, however, I opted to remove the entries for some reason, not sure why
but possibly a glitch crashing the FMB, will have to test later on.

Take care.

I've not been able to get you Oct 5 stationary update to work with BAT 14 so no stationary SU's or A-6s (among others). Must be some conflict there.  Anyway not asking for all of theses SSP's but if you have time at some point would appreciate one or two of the SU's (maybe an early and late model) and one of the A-6s in SSP.  Thanks for all your great work!  Love that Lysander!

Hello dona, I found the same issue as you with BAT and the full stationary mod. o_O

Everything works in my 4.12.2 with ModAct 5.30, I double checked I had not messed up the version I uploaded.  I do not like messing with BAT and usually just leave it alone but I tried various ways of getting things working but whatever I did was no go. :(

I found where the classes are kept and the A-6 static classes are there, however, they do not show when I add the entries so I cannot fathom what the guys do with BAT that is different.

I made a SSP each from both families of aircraft you mention and they show okay by adding a Self Stationary section:

Hello dona, sorry not checked in here for a while so missed this request. :-[

Unfortunately I have no idea of the new type you mention, here at SAS?  Over at Freemodding?

There have been a few different versions of F-84 floating around over the years and as the SSP needs to use the air.ini line I need that specific model entry. ;)

Hello dona, yes okay I will take a look at both for you. ;)

I have the F-84 pack already but not with the F version, must have missed the update.

My B-57 is the Freemodding aircraft and I thought there was one with it, maybe I just added it to the main stationary mod though, if it is something else I will need a link or the air.ini line.

I will also take a look at what else I can add to this thread now that the main stationary mod is no longer able to be updated.

Hi Pete.

For whatever reason I could never get many of your updated stationary aircraft to work, particularly in BAT. By contrast the SSPs have always worked well and have been a great enhancement to the game, at least for me.

Thanks Again!!!
DonA

I also tried the ones you mentioned previously and the same for me, not sure what was wrong as the main pack worked in my other installs. o_O  The main pack relies on all the stock statics remaining within the mod and if that is tampered with there are issues, however, I am not actually involved with BAT so do not know just how they applied what they used from my mod.

Anyway, this way you can just add individual aircraft of choice although you loose the taxi to take off function I believe.

The full static mod is now effectively redundant as I cannot add anything else and if I try to remove some things then that could cause issues for existing users if they have set up their game to use it as it is so I guess we go this route from here on in.  ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Umm .....

It looks gear animation java code in its base class C_130X.class bug or 4.12.2m no compatibility old one.
Vega will update it in 4.12.2m native style.

It is certainly a unusual occurrence western0221, in all the time I have been doing these this never happened. :o

In the past the only issues were that three aircraft would not show at all and seaplanes have appeared raised above water but that has been it, the seaplane issue could be dealt with in the FM though.  Sadly nothing I can do about the Hercules it is dependent on the actual model.

I will not release a link to this as it is and hope Vega can do what you say to fix it, for now I will try any updates he might release and see what happens.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hi,

The C130 Static looks like it is effected or conflicting with the Centre of Gravity. I have noticed this with Tango's Mirage IIIEA and some other static Aircraft with Tricycle undercarriage set up but only minor in comparison to the Hercules.  Getting away with using spawn points to generate stable static hercs at Airfields with no fuel so they remain static with no engines running for the time being.

Wow, as always, thank you very much Pete!!

You're welcome, no problem. ;)

These are straight forward enough and quick to do, takes longer to fire up the game and make sure I entered everything correctly.

With the full mod I used to collect whatever was released over a month or so and enter the java as and when, sometimes in one sitting sometimes as I tested a new aircraft, the java was not added to the game until I was ready to add the entries.

Another sitting might entail doing the entries.

With that all together I could hash the java, and add that and the entries to the game.

Eventually I would test and see if I had broke anything.  :D

A evening or two could then be taken writing up the release and collecting the new and old entries and taking some images before you finally got the download.

For all the SSP is a far quicker way, usually if I see your request at night and have the aircraft already you can have the static the day after, depends on time and how many, I also do them for pending releases of models or campaigns as well if asked or involved.

Sad thing is I usually only fire up the game to test or mod, playing is rare these days.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Thanks Pete for your tireless efforts in not only bringing us cool static models, but acting as an unofficial guide to what is new on this site & others. Love this thread, to keep up to date on all the latest aircraft mods  ;)

Glad you are happy with what you find guys. 8)

They are very easy for me to do and add so much to any scene so I try and accommodate everyone's favorites if possible, sadly some mods such as the Hercules still do not want to work, nothing I can do about that though.

One of the guys at AviaSkins regularly makes a request for stuff for his campaigns so I do not miss much thankfully. :)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

As time permits, I hope you will be able to add some of Edlor's contributions to the SSP collection. Will miss his work but most of all his good nature.

Hello guys, some recent releases now have links in the first post. ;)

AW-Siskin and Stearman PT-17 (Edlor), DH-88 Comet-MkII (AviaSkins):

(https://s15.postimg.cc/4zevllnzv/Static_A.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/image/5c69rs69j/)

FJ_1 Fury and H-5 Dragonfly (Edlor):

Sikorsky CH-3E, OH-6A Cayuse and OH58 Kiowa (Edlor):

(https://s15.postimg.cc/nezcj1zkb/Static_C.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/image/tfx1g4m6f/)

DHC6 Otter (Edlor):

MQ8B FireScout (Edlor):

(https://s15.postimg.cc/9laztzc3v/Static_E.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/image/f9hakvgg7/)

The air ini entry supplied with the OH-58 did not work for me, try this:

OH58        air.OH58 1                      NOINFO  usa01 SUMMER

The DHC6 SSP stands above the water this can only be altered in the FM and is not a issue with the static.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

They are already made, however, while two of them do show in the fmb window none can be placed on a map.

I sent hem to Filippo along with the Hercules to see if there is anything he can see that might be wrong.

Hi Pete

I need a Self Stationary Plane for my new Albatros D.II early version:

The static uses the air.ini entry for you particular aircraft, without that line and the aircraft mod itself to test the static made from it I have to decline for the moment.

Please feel free to ask again when you release, I will then have all the parts necessary to create the static. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

These are specifically for BAT users, add and use at your own risk. :D

do not mess. ;)

Hallo Mission_bug

Can I ask you for La-9/11, A-26B/K and T-6 Texan SSP?

Texan from very nice Edlors redux here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,55525.0.html (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,55525.0.html)

I see that last post in that T-6 thread is link to your SSP. But if I understnd it correctly this thread here is for particular requests  (ai am not englishman so maybe I misunderstand). I downloaded those 2000+ classfiles from SSP thread and wanted use only particular planes but I got dozens errors in log of course.

Thank you Epervier. I am using mods for long time, I know what is where, but I am new to ssp because we ussualy do not use them in online events. For event Bedcheck Charlie are ssp needed.

Thank you again.

Hello Kukulo, there is a new link now in the first post clearly labelled as from Edlor, sorry for the problem but only the old franken version was posted in the first page that is now labelled as such, I do not know what happened to the link to the Edlor version but I appologise for any issues it caused you. :-[

Look for 'Texan_AT6 (new 3d import from Edlor)' in the first post at the bottom for the link. ;)

(https://i.postimg.cc/KcWtnGBz/2018.10.06_10-59-34.jpg) (https://postimg.cc/w3htzdW8)

With SSP you should only use the link I provide if you actually have the aircraft in your game otherwise you will get a CTD if you add the entries and it is not in your game, no need to download all the links unless you need them.

You will need to create a new section for the entries in the stationary and technics ini, mine is after the stock entries.

As for the La-9, if that falls within the time period 1936 until 1945 then please ask SAS~Epervier in his thread:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,15399.0.html

I usually only add things to my thread within that time period if Gabriel has indicated he will not, usually aircraft from other sites or beta mods.

Hope that helps.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Hello guys, I just figured out why I could not find the link to the Edlor AT-6, it was never here, the link kukulo showed was to my full static mod. o_O

Looks like there has been a mix up here, I wondered why I would have added it to the SSP thread when as far as I remember the time frame for it fits that of the SAS~Epervier thread. ;)

Instructions are still the same full mod or SSP, only add the entries for those types you know you have in your game otherwise CTD. ;)

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Thank you guys. Planes showed on static and I can respawn into them. Need some online on server testing, but I believe everything will be ok. In previous event Operation Torch: Oran we used static D-520 and it works ok. Thanks again guys

Hello Piotrek, most of those I think fall into a time period covered in the thread by SAS~Epervier, I only cover in my thread what Gabriel does not/will not do for whatever reasons and anything outside those dates, please check with him first, if he does not intend to do them I will be happy to try for you. ;)

I will look at the C-54.

Glad you got sorted out kukulo.  8)

:D
For me it is (almost) simple!  8)
Aircraft between ~1936 ~1945, broadcast on this site!
The ones I place in list 2 (and without a screen) are not tested.
I must admit, I don't like to make prototypes. But since I no longer do "big" DIY... I can accept to do protos (1936-1945).  :D   ;)
And remember that I can't test with version 412!

Would it possible at some point to do SSPs for the pre-war Seversky trio  P-35A, 2PA and navalized NF-1 that came out several years ago?

Hello dona, the P-35 might actually fall into the time frame for the thread by SAS~Epervier.  ;)

Sorry to say I have never come across the 2PA and NF-1, do you have a link please.

Hello guys, a couple more links in the first post. ;)

Thanks to Adamo we now have the Supermarine Type 224:

SAS~Epervier has only added the P-35 to his thread so I have completed the requests for this family of aircraft
by adding the remaining types, Seversky-2PA and NF1:

Will all this fantastic stationary planes make it to B.A.T.? Or it is exclusevely restricted to single downloads?

Usually these do find their way into BAT providing the team uses the particular aircraft they were created for. ;)

If I do not get around to making a SSP for any new models that are released then Andy (SAS~vampire_pilot) can also make them to include whenever BAT is updated providing the model itself enables the process, therefore in most cases there will always be new statics made for most new content in BAT. 8)

Unfortunately the C-130 (as well as B-52, B-47 and C-135 variants) resist the creation of SSP classes.

It is due to the way the mods themselves are built up. It is suspected that is the same internal design that makes the FMB crash when you select individual aircraft in the object card. All the mods that do this also seem to refuse to be set up as SSP.

maybe someone proves me wrong with some new trick but that seems to be the status quo

Dear Pete,

Let me ask You if it is possible to create self-stationary planes for excellent pack of Canberra bombers of BAT.
Thank You very much in advance.

Best regards,
Stefan

You mean for use outside of BAT?

I can do it no problem, however, maybe Andy might post the ones he made for BAT, have you asked him?
