Title: Skins missing?
Post by: Bsmooth on October 13, 2021, 08:02:51 PM
Just got back from Florida, and trying to really get into IL-2 1946 BAT. Theres a France 1940 campaign and I think the plane is a Bloch(not sure which model), but it specifies a certain skin to use, problem is I'm not quite sure where to get it. Its wasn't in the BAT skins, is there another place I could look for it somewhere.
BTW I finally got IL-2 Cliffs of Dover Blitz to work after weeks of troubleshooting. Without the great effort of ATAG it would never have happened. I just wanted to give a shout out to there untiring efforts of putting up with me for weeks on end.
Strangely it turned out to be something to do with Capture Ones free RAW editor. Somehow it managed to put its files into IL-2 Cliffs of Dover. It would run for approx. 4 -5 seconds then crash. I won't go into the finer points but they ran a certain program that checks whats running while the program is on. So I had to start it and stop it within 5 seconds then run a CMD powershell program to find out what dll's loaded.
I didn't understand it completely, but it ran down the problem anyways.

If that is a campaign from the the community single missions packs, then there is a URL in a notepad document (probably in this case *RootFolder/Missions/Single[World At War]/FR/CampaignName) which should point you to a download. The DL is for playing the campaign in Career Mode instead of as single missions. Those downloads usually come with the skins. https://youtu.be/Ga9X8qJB1xI
Good to see you're still at it. Mate.
