Thanks a bunch for a campaign with aircraft that are seldom seen or even known by most. That said, having tried it on BAT 4.1, it no longer works. The campaign is now throwing multiple errors stating that it cannot find the aicraft used, some examples are the Delfin and Vultee, and many others. I suspect the new version of BAT's file structure changed and thats why it no longer works.

minar, this campaign was created on BAT 4.1.

Are you absolutely sure you are running the campaign in correct module, which is TGA?

its throwing one error about a Fokker aircraft missing.

Strange error, as there are no Fokkers in the campaign  o_O

If the problem persists, copy the contents of dcgerror.txt in your DCG folder and paste it here using the

Cannot reproduce. Could one of you post dcgerror.dcg here?

Fokker G1 seems to b a problematic plane for me. I had a problem with her cockpit a while ago in WAW:

https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,64938.0.html (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,64938.0.html)

And now it has returned to haunt my campaign in TGA  :-X

Thank you, WallysWorld. Got it.    8)

Escuadron 1 Escuadrilla 4 should be equipped with Koolhoven FK51. However, there is an error in availability date in class.dcg which makes the FK51 not available at 1937. That's why DCG replaces it with a previous plane in the list - The Fokker G1.

However, that only happens if "Historical Production Dates" is on.
I always keep it off.

Solution 1: turn off "Historical Production Dates"

Solution 2: Redownload. Uploaded version updated.

Glad to hear that.

Just to make it clear: Either Solution 1 or Solution 2 is enough. Both are not required.

Thank you for pointing out the problem. If I don't know there is a problem I cannot fix it.  8)

Dumb question from a DCG noobie so please forgive my ignorance.

If I set the DCG Squadron Density to anything higher than Sparse or Moderate, I seem to get a lot of air starts for my own plane. If I leave the Squadron Density to Sparse I almost always start on the ground which is what I want for every mission. Please note that I do have Air Starts checked on. I've only played the Luftwaffe side so far.

Is that because there isn't enough runway length for any friendly squadron and my own squadron if we take off from the same runway if the mission is created that way? I end up having an air start while the other squadron starts on the ground?

I guess my question can be applied to any DCG campaign.

Thanks.

Dumb question from a DCG noobie so please forgive my ignorance.

"The Only Stupid Question is the One You Don’t Ask"   8)

Is that because there isn't enough runway length for any friendly squadron and my own squadron if we take off from the same runway if the mission is created that way? I end up having an air start while the other squadron starts on the ground?

In some cases there are not enough room for all the aircraft in the runway and some squadrons are forced to air start. The number of active squadrons in the airfield of course affect that.

See first post:

Recommended DCG Settings:

Transfers are set off by a timetable command and I recommend that it is kept off to avoid overcrowding of certain airfields and to avoid aircraft with insufficient climb rate being placed to  airfields surrounded by high mountains.

Recommended action radius > 300 km.

Also, setting "Maximum Flights per Squadron" affects - the bigger the number, the less squadrons fit in the runway at the same time.
In the options menu check if "Delayed Start Times" is ticked. When ticked, some AI squadrons will start their missions a few minutes later than player squadron.

I cannot give you any straight guidelines, I'm afraid. I can only say that my settings are:

Maximum Flights per Squadron = 1
Squadron Density = Dense
Air Starts = On
Delayed Start Times = On

With these settings I have played this campaign about halfway through flying a Luftwaffe He-112 (killer machine in this campaign, BTW o_O) and I have had four or five air starts - all ground attack missions.

I guess my question can be applied to any DCG campaign.

Yes, it can.

EDIT: "Massed Bombers" also affects as it sets bomber squadron density to 4, no matter what "Maximum Flights per Squadron" is.

Hi Shakaali, just wanted to post that I'm enjoying this campaign a lot. Your DCG settings are working great for me. Thanks again.
