The Leander class was a class of eight light cruisers built for the Royal Navy in the early 1930s and saw service in all theatres of WWII.
This is the first of the Royal Navy Pack. Other ships will be added as they become available.

Devonshire was one of 15 County Class heavy cruisers built between the wars and designed within the limits of the 1922 Washington Treaty. They were designed primarily for trade route protection with an emphasis on range and speed.

The Vampire was one of the V Class Destroyers dating from WW1. They, along with the very similar W Class, represented the ultimate in destroyer design in WW1 and set the trend for future designs. 23 V Class were built along with a further 21 W Class. They went on to serve both as fleet and convoy escorts in WW2. Vampire was one of four transferred to the Royal Australian Navy in 1933.

Nelson was the name ship of her class of two battleships, built within the restrictions of the Washington Treaty. They were unique in appearance for the Royal Navy, the grouping of the main 16in turrets resulted in a weight saving sufficient to stay within the treaty limits. Nelson and her sister ship Rodney saw action in all the main theatres of the war in Europe. Her appearance represents the AA armament of 1943 and onwards, as she appeared Operation Torch, and Husky and subsequently for the Salerno landings and Normandy. Her sister ship HMS Rodney is also included. Rodney has a number of differences including a catapult mounted on C turret.

Hermes was the first purpose designed aircraft carrier in the Royal Navy rather than converted from an existing ship. She was active throughout the 20's and 30's and although close to obsolete by the start of WWII was pressed into action hunting surface raiders amd providing convoy protection. She was unfortunately caught by the IJN raid into the Indian Ocean in 1942 and sunk off the coast of Ceylon. The flight deck featured a hump at the stern which originally provided anchor points for longitudinal arrestor cables, the use of which preceded the adoption of tranverse cables. This serves a bit like a speed hump when in the landing approach, so don't come in too low.

Well, it certainly allows the creation of some new and varied scenarios. I'm just about to use Leander's Walrus to search for a German Merchant Raider that has been wreaking havoc off the coast of Queensland:

I don't want to hijack asheshouse's RN thread (so last comment on this subject), but the Auxiliary Cruiser is a perfect match for the new ships - searching visually (no radar that early in the war) with Hermes' Swordfish, for example.

The raider, which installs flawlessly in BAT, can be found here:

Its a lot easier for me to just keep updating the pack as I am doing. This means any little fixes on earlier ships can easily be included and the updated class files are maintained in order.

;D   I completed two skins for the fantastic HMS Leander produced by our best naval carpenter of all time the Asheshouse Magnum! Choose what you need most, the first is for the Leander, the second for its twin, the legendary Aiax, terror of the Italian Navy in the Mediterranean! Obviously you just have to overwrite the files in the ship folder, and if you want to restore the originals you also have those ... As usual I also added two light files, useful to those who have not opted for the HD solution of the game. Happy surfing!

Anyway, here is a quick fix.

A new download link is provided in the first post. This integrates the new skins by Stanislao, adds HMS Ajax and also incorporates some minor fixes.
Nothing new for those that have been picking up the updates in later posts.

Hi guys... there are no more words to thank you...
Devonshire is simply wonderful!
For the first time we have a really heavy cruiser of the Royal Navy.
Asheshouse and Stanislao are Maradona and Pelè of IL-2... :D

Absolutely beautiful - many, many thanks to Ashe and Stan (forever now "the Dream Team" to me)
I am in the process of upgrading my Ceylon map in honor of these iconic cruisers (Dorsetshire & Cornwall).

Is HMS Cornwall maybe on the cards???  ;)

Very best regards
Mike

Yes, but non all people are programmer, I prefer a standard BAT add-on in a patch.

You are both right, of course. Vampire and myself are currently working on a major update for ships in BAT intended for the next patch. I'm hoping to get the RN ships included, but that may be limited by keeping the patch size to a manageable level (I already have a considerable number of ships on my list, including some oldies but goodies).

In the meantime, I'm happy to provide a BAT 'easy install' if anyone wants it. That would still need some .ini file editing, but I encourage the use of a BATMODS folder for that to enable restoring in case of any errors.

Yours,

Clive

Doh! I knew that you would release this ship the day AFTER I put together an 'easy install' pack for BAT for your RN Ships!

Seriously, though, great work as always. Thank you. What's next, shipmeister?

I’m toying with a few different projects, so too early to commit.

HMS Hermes would complete the Indian Ocean "lost in action" set  ;D

Hermes was my first experiment in converting WoWS models, kind of a trial.
A number of things need to be redone to complete it properly, but its a definite contender for further attention.

I suspect this is due to an error on my part. I stupidly left the .ini files from my install in the STD folder in the download. I intended to leave the folder empty so that you can just copy your own .ini files into the folder. As I have a heavily modded install it doesn't surprise me that you have had a ctd.

Please download the pack again and try that. Hopefully it should now work. Sorry about that.

To clarify: deactivate the old RN_Ships and delete it from BATMODS. Then use the new download instead.

60% is usually related to aircraft, not ships...
If there is any problems with ships, the crash should occur at 70%

Agreed. Unfortunately I did include my air.ini and static.ini by mistake :(. Almost certainly it is one or both of those causing the problem. Using the new download, which also includes the HMS Nelson released today, should resolve the issue.

Thanks a lot! Great work! I had the beta version from some time ago already and loved it, this one looks even better though! Now we just need some crew on it... :)
Btw, is there any chance for HMS Glorious maybe too?
Then we would have all important early war carriers from all navies in game... I don't count Bearn as it was not used as a carrier during the war....

Hi asheshouse,

thank you so much for the Hermes, running perfectly in BAT.

One thing, though, your installation notes in the download include ship.ini entries for a lot of your other ships e.g. Fuso/Mogami etc. This may be confusing when people are trying to install.

I installed this into my ypack, which is a 4.13.4 version with Modactivator 6.4. Nelson, Leander and Ajax work fine, while I cannot spawn Hermes, Devonshire or Vampire. All three either have a completely disabled preview window, or the ship is not shown.

Here is a part of the log, which was created when I tried to select the ships in the FMB. I hope it contains all the relevant parts:

I think its a problem loading large textures.
You need the Carmaster mod which enables large texture sizes, or you need to reduce the pixel size of the large textures using Irfan View or similar graphics utility.

Hello Asheshouse, only just got around to loading the link with Hermes, she is a beauty, thank you very much, really appreciated.

I see the issue with the entries has already been mentioned, I had downloaded this some time ago but only added it to my install tonight and I had a C.T.D. because I only had a shortened version of the Hermes entries but I eventually found the remainder lower down so all is good, everything working okay now as far as I can see. ;)

Take care and be safe.

Wishing you all the very best, Pete. ;D

Works flawlessly in my 4.14.
Sorry this may sound offensive, but I just can't bear the sight of Nelson class BB. I've downloaded her, but I'm not planning on "activating" her. With a face that only a mother would love, I wonder why her crew didn't try to sink her themselves.
My "go to" RN BB remains your earlier Warspite (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,12186.0.html).

I rather agree with milvipes. Nelson and Rodney were not the world's most beautiful ships but for many years I had to keep my mouth shut because my father-in-law was the chaplain of the Rodney and would not hear a word said against her.
Certainly Rodney did great service, being the Home Fleet flagship and sailing on at least one Arctic convoy to Russia.
Title: HMS Nelson two battle liveries
Post by: stanislao on August 29, 2020, 06:42:48 AM
:)  Hello to all friends of SAS, I have prepared these battle liveries to complete the magnificent battleship HMS Nelson of our tireless "Asheshouse navy site manager"! The first livery reproduces the battle camouflage used between 1942 and 1943, the second, used in 1944. For those who have problems of excessive "weight" of the weaving files, I have added a package of light files to insert instead of those more loads. I would also have in sing the 1942 livery of the battleship Rodney but it would require some modifications to Nelson's 3D model.
Happy end of August to you all!

Indeed, the differences between Nelson and Rodney are minimal .. the only thing that is out of place is the "NELSON" lettering in relief on both sides of the stern. It would be enough to eliminate the relief, and I could add RODNEY. We would have a chance to choose which battleship to use. I don't know they have ever been used together in any mission.

Nelson and Rodney most famously operated together for the Pedestal Convoy in August 1942.

;D  To complete the roundup of the magnificent British ships produced by Asheshouse here is a 1942 war livery of the aircraft carrier Hermes. As usual I have included in the package the original textures and six skins, at low resolution for those who have problems with too heavy a load .. Enjoy!

Apart from textures, the Hermes catalog also has a whole 3d model. This is fine, but it may scare some.

And thank you for honoring me by putting my little contributions into his download packages! I also prepared a "light" version of the textures of the battleship Rodney, for those with loading problems!

Post by: Griffon_301 on September 18, 2020, 06:00:28 AM
yes - I even redownloaded the original pack and the patch and made sure that the patch overwrites the classfiles in the original pack....
I also checked the classfiles if Rodney is present (which of course it is...)
right now I am re-entering all text entries into the various ini files just to make sure and will report back ....

UPDATE: still no joy....

1) redownloaded the files from the links on page #1
2) first unzipped the base file
3) unzipped the patch, copied over its contents and had everything overwrite as requested - 2 new classfiles present (master classfile and Rodney classfile)
4) checked for duplicate classfiles - negative
5) added the entries to the ini files and checked and rechecked them

when I revert back to the old set, everything works as it should...
I have no clue here....

Griffon - I assume that you are still getting the same error message. 70% ctd is normally due to an error with the ini text entries. Check those again. Initially just ensure that the ship.ini and chief.ini entries are complete. That should be enough for the game to load. Add the others only when you have it working.

allright! success at last!

I deleted ALL previous entries from the ini files and copied the various ini entries in again before placing the chief.ini and stationary.ini entries into their proper places (I have structured my ships according their navies and ship categories)
now everything works....

Because it was released just too late to be included. Vampire had already incorporated the ships I sent to him, so there simply wasn't time. Hopefully it will be added at the next update.
Title: Re: Royal Navy Pack - HMS Nelson - HMS Rodney - HMS Devonshire - HMS Leander - HMS Ajax - HMS Vampire - HMS Hermes - N48 Medway Queen

Patch 2 added to post #1. This adds the N48 Paddle Minesweeper, former Medway Queen. Model sourced from WoWS.
The rotating paddle function requires ShipExtension to be installed. This is an integral part of SASModAct.
If you do not have ShipExtension (why not?) then it may be necessary to disable Part 5 and Part 6 in ships.ini, however the paddles will not then rotate.
Some things I have not yet been able to fix require more coding skills.
1. The paddle rotation is still active even when the ship is stationary.
2. I would have liked to add a visual feature, similar to the _Prop effect, at the rear of each paddle, but without new coding it is not possible to have two _Prop effects.

I can confirm that in a 4.09 install, everything works, except of course that paddles logically don't rotate, not a big deal though (especially when you fly at 300 km/h+ speeds  ;D) ...  ;)

Hi ashe, thanks for the Medway Queen.

I have successfully installed her in BAT 4.1, but only by omitting the paddle entries in ship.ini, as the ship will not show in the game otherwise. Following your instructions, I assume this is because the ship extension is not part of BAT. I downloaded it, but the mod has a bewildering amount of folders and ship.ini entries which would stretch over two BAT eras. As a result I don't know where to start - I don't really want to add loads of mod parts I may not need, especially as some sections may already be in BAT. Is there one particular class file in the mod that I could add stand alone to get the paddles working?

The Ship Extension mod seems to be not part of BAT WAW per se so you will have to add it yourself...
It's a rather tedious work and you treat yourself with a good bottle of wine or beer while doing ity but it's well worth it as it upgrades many of the old stock and add-on destroyers and cruisers with enhanced Torpedos and other stuff...

And of course, the Medway, or N48, shows rotating paddles as well...

If installing Ship Extension, I think all you need is the class files to enable the paddle function -- possibly.

Hello asheshouse, the N48 is a really lovely model and for me shows and runs in my ModAct 5.30 install, however, my paddles do not rotate. ;)

There is nothing obvious listed in the log that I can see so it could be something else is having a detrimental affect on the rotation, what though I have no clue but at least it is working otherwise. 8)

No success,I'm afraid. No too much of a loss really - it would have been nice to have the moving paddles, but not particularly visible from a fast-moving aircraft anyway.

You have inserted ships.ini-1 text entry ?

No! I really must start reading instructions thoroughly! Paddles work perfectly - no need for ship extension classes at all - just a person more competent than me at installing ships...thanks again, ashe.

Yes, have I put it in the right place though?

Here it is at the end of the new gun armament entries:

Pete, in my vp_modact (same as Asheshouse's SAS 5.3 modact, I inserted those lines at the end of the "new gun armament@, but without the first lines (ships.ini 1- user defined sections...). I inserted the part starting from [radar_plus90deg]

Hello guys, from what you post it looks like I have the entry in the correct place, thank you very much for confirming, really appreciated. 8)

So, looks like something else is wrong with my install. :(

Checked my install again. I have ShipAIMod installed and activated.

No idea what that is asheshouse, I will take a look and see if I have it. ;)

Is it possible I am missing a ship that might include certain class files that could be needed?

Take care and be safe.

You should have the original RN Pack, Patch 1 and Patch2. No other ships required.

ShipAIMod is included within Ship Extension https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,39077.msg435243.html#msg435243

Hello asheshouse, thank you very much for the link, really appreciated. 8)

Still no go for moving paddles sad to say, I have installed the ship extension pack and tried the entry in various areas up and down the ship.ini to no avail. :(

I have not done a re-boot of the PC since installing the ship extension, sometimes that helps in some instances, will test that tomorow, not hopeful but worth a test I think for completeness. ;)

Thank you very much for the help.

Take care and be safe.

I had in the past loaded all of the Royal Navy Pack up to and including patch 2 running in BAT 4.1 but following this edit I am crashing at 70% with the  errors showing up in the loglst extracted below. So everything was running ok with Patch 2 installed?

If so, then must be an error pasting the new text into the ini files?

If all checks ok try reverting back to Patch 2 state by disabling the three Valiant lines in chief.ini and one Valiant line in staionary.ini.

Does it now load up ok? -- obviously with Valiant missing.

Thanks Mick, Asheshouse et al

The error was indeed in the chief.ini 1 section. My cut and pasting truncated an "icons/shipDestroyer.mat" line of code.

Worth the effort, the HMS Valiant is another beautiful ship from the Asheshouse shipyards.

;D     I have managed to equip this beautiful British battleship Valiant of our beloved Asheshouse with a war livery dating from around 1942. As always you will also find two low resolution files and for those who want to go back to the originals, the complete package of Asheshouse skins. Have fun tracking the Italian fleet in the Mediterranean!

Classfile? You must have cocked up the installation somehow? Did you overwrite all the existing content?

Agreed. Both run fine in my BAT 4.1.1. IIRC, there is at least one new classfile in the download for those ships - perhaps you missed it? Try again, if not, get back to me and I'll send you my working versions in an install pack.

Perhaps need to rename the folder so that the new classes load first in a BAT installation?

Probably. I add to ! to the folder to move it up the hierarchy. Thorsten, you can find a link my BAT install for the two ships below. Designed to be activated via BATMODS, but of course you can install them manually, Also, make sure you have the extra line in ships.ini for the Medway Queen (I missed that first up).

Patch 4 - Repulse added to first post. You will also require the latest class files and latest text entries, also in the first post.

Just to clarify....if one has all of your RN ships so far it's enough to only add the entries necessary to get Repulse working now?

I had the complete previous shipyard inventory of Asheshouse Ships working but the new Repulse add on crashes my loading at 70% with the following error messages in the log.lst. May I request some help in sorting out what I am missing or interpreting what I left out.
Thanks. Mechanic

asheshouse - HMS Repulse - are these dots on the skins the effect of the original or the result of the conversion from 24 to 8 bit?

Many thanks for another beautiful ship!

Mechanic - start by deactivating the new text entries in chief.ini and stationary.ini, leave ships.ini alone.

Game should now restart ok - with Repulse missing.

Now re-enable the chief.ini entries and check again.

Only enable chief.ini entries for ships installed.

Have you installed all the patches or just patch4 ?

Mechanic, I notice that you are running BAT. Repulse is fine in my BAT 4.13, so let's investigate.

You say you have the full ashe inventory installed prior to Repulse. Everything should already be in BAT (I know, because I'm the one who did it), with the exception of the Medway Queen and Valiant. Did you install those two yourself? If you have, and they are working, I can put together a BAT install for the Repulse for you. Also, have you made sure to add all the updated class files with the Repulse?

It is not a problem  ;). An effect that cannot be seen in the game.
Such dots sometimes appear when converting from 24 to 8 bits. The colors should blend smoothly.

can it be that you did not add the latest set of classfiles to your install?
an error log like this points into that direction.....

If installing in BAT WaW then follow these notes, from the USN Pack https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,64756.msg711604.html#msg711604

forgot to mention - everything works fine, in both a stock and a heavily modded BAT WaW 4.1.3 environment

and of course - a BIIIG thank you for the new ship and your continued ship building activity :)

... probably a bug during 24 bits ==> 8 bits conversion, as I don't get it after conversion ...  ;)

Thank you to Asheshouse and Cbradbury. The problem was in getting the correct class files to replace the old ones.  In my Windows 10 a cut and paste of the files did not overwrite and replace the old class files.  I had to delete the old class files then place the new files in the folder. I’m usually working in Windows 7 where I am reminded to select a replace action.  Anyway all good, all working and that HMS Repulse is a mighty fine ship. Thanks for the ship and thanks for the help.

:D  Thanks Ashes, for this new pearl, unfortunately Il2 has given me problems lately, and I'm reinstalling everything but very carefully, I had exceeded 170 gigabite .. as soon as I can get a stable version I plan to make a war livery for this battle cruiser !

Improved textures https://www.mediafire.com/file/unx877iqo4v993c/RepulseTextures.rar/file
These follow comments by Kelso
Extract into the model folder, overwriting existing files.

These have up to 256 colours, replacing the older set which was limited to 16 colours. No increase in file size.

Good afternoon. I'm trying to install "Repulse" in BAT mod 4.0. I don't know where to look for the file "ship.properties". Tell me please.  "Repulse" is not shown in the "ship.ini" file either.

You will find them in the STD/i18n folder.
However, ship.ini and ship.properties text entries are not required.

Their only purpose is to enable the ships to appear in the Object Viewer accessed from the main menu.
You can instead use the viewer in Full Mission Builder. This works just as well.

Thank you for the answer, I haven't installed ship mods for 10 years, I forgot everything. BATH has almost all the ships from your mod, except for the "Repulse", "Rodney" and "Valiant". Thank you for the mod!

I have extracted and installed this ship mod to my mods folder (#SAS) but do not see any of the ships added or listed when I try to view them as "objects" in the game menu.  Also tried installing to my jsgmemods folder and then activated it from there -- still nothing.  Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Currently using the VP Modpack for v4.12.2

Do they appear in the menu in Full Mission Builder FMB.
If not then check you have correctly added the text entries in chief.ini and ships.ini.

They do not appear in the FMB, no.  I added text entries to ship.ini and both chief.ini files within the mod folder (#SAS)....even watched video tutorial on YouTube -- game now CTDs at 70%.  Tried updating Selector to 4.0.2.  Same thing happens.  Am I supposed to add text entries for ships.ini, stationary.ini, technics, properties, etc. as well?  Very confused.  Please help.  Here's the end of my start up log file after running debugger:

In my experience, a 70% ctd is usually down to classfiles. My recommended procedure:

1. Use jgsme - don't start randomly changing stuff in il2 unless you fancy reinstalling the lot.

2. Download the original package, the four patches, and the updated classfiles.

3. Extract and overwrite everything in strict order i.e base package, add each patch in turn, then finish with the latest classfiles - they are very important.

4. Add all the .ini entries (again use jgsme to do this).

5. Activate your jgsme package and see what happens then.

P.S. Of course you need to add the ships.ini entries! The ship.ini changes are not important - the ships will still run without that.

what cbradbury has posted!

plus: make sure to have the new ships load BEFORE the classfiles folders in your module! this is important as BAT currently does not have the latest RN ships in it IIRC and it is important to have the classfiles for a ship package up to date and load first before any older classfiles of an older ships package...

i do not use jsgme, in fact i hate it as it makes things more complicated if you want to add one mod while leaving out another; fiddling with multiple ini files and not loosing overview is quite difficult if you tend to mod your install heavily...
what I do is to make a copy of the complete STD folder before I add ships or aircraft or static and stationary objects and put it into a safe directory somewhere else;
if anything goes awry, I just delete the offending mod and copy back the saved std folder and all is fine again....
works like a charme and that way, you only have one set of ini files in use - a working one with all the mods you have added for your own liking....

SUCCESS -- thanks, all!  Game loaded without a hitch and I could see all the ships listed in the FMB :)   I'm not able to view them all, however -- any idea if there's a workaround for viewing objects?

Check the ships.ini entries again. Probably text missing from user defined gun section if you cant see a ship. Which ones are not visible?

;D  To honor the great commitment and passion that Asheshouse has given us all these years, I have prepared this painting for the beautiful Black Swan sloop! I added the original textures files for those who want to go back to the original livery and the Low res option for those who don't want to load the video card too much. Have fun with this magnificent addition to the British fleet.

;D  I also have this battle livery for the British battleship Repulse, you will have a hard time believing it .. I have been trying and trying to identify all the hundreds of parts that make up the texture of this beautiful Asheshouse ship for a month. The mapping developer mixed the parts in a devilish way, and I finally gave up. It will not be a marvel up close but at medium distance it seems acceptable to me in the end so I share it with you. There are always the three options you already know.

Wrong install...either wrong file structure or you are missing the classfiles completely...

Usually a classfile error. Have to ask, though, any reason why you have not upgraded to BAT Flashpoint? Valiant and Repulse are already in there, for a start, and Black Swan runs no problem.

;D   Here are finally the two versions of the British Dido-class cruiser. The first is a battle livery of the HMS Naiad and the second livery is of the HMS Dido, the choice is yours! As always, I put two lightened files and the original Ashes texture files in the folder. I hope to be able, with this small contribution, to further enhance the splendid work that Asheshouse is doing to which my sincere thanks go.

PS  :    I added two medium weight files (4097) to respect the definition chosen by Asheshouse.

;D  Great beautiful ship! I had difficulty in visualizing the ship in the game, both in the static and in the moving form .. luckily my friend Thorsten intervened and suggested that I check the entry in Ships.ini of the entry [gun_RocketGunUP] ... I thought I had already entered it before but I was wrong .. inserted that item everything went right!
From the photos of the time it appears that the cruiser HMS Hood has never seen a battle livery .. he came into conflict with her light gray paint and was sunk with that paint. From the color photos of the time, however, it seems of a much lighter color than the one proposed by WofW .. I could lighten all the files and give it a brighter look.

May 41 photo in Battleships, RA Burt, appears to show a darker paint finish than in all previous late 30s photos. Darker paintwork would be appropriate for Home Fleet operating out of Scapa Flow.

... yep, you're right, looks like the usual paint for ships operating in the Atlantic was dark grey, as it was light grey for those operating in the Med ...

:-|   I am perplexed .. I found several vintage photos also in color of the two versions, the previous one to the 1938 restoration, which eliminated the lateral fixed guns and placed the secondary armament in the revolving turrets, both versions show a gray color clear .. so is it likely that the change in tone may have occurred at the end of the summer of 1941? Anyway I have almost finished a clearer version, the choice is yours. Mick, the photos you published refer the first to the pre-restoration version, the last two clearly show the second and last version and the repainting done in lighter gray ... (it is always painted starting from top to bottom .. )   ;)

That seems to be the general pattern (no pun intended) - dark grey for Home Fleet, light grey for the Med, but there was also a short period in early 1941 with an experimental mixed scheme:

Personally I think she looks best in light grey, and I will be using that when stan completes it.

:D   Thanks Cbradbury! The document you published is very interesting! Now I understand the progress of the last stages of painting the Hood, apparently she was repainted in light gray in early 1940 for the Mediterranean and then moving on to Scapa Flow in 1941 repainted in dark gray.   8)

... yep, exceptionnal site, many THX Cbradbury ...!  ;)

Let's not forget the HMS Hood took part in the (much controversial) French fleet attack, Mers el Kebir, July 1940, so she was most probably painted light grey then ...  ;)

... from Cbradbury's link ...  :-X

One thing is for absolute certain:

"Hood never had a red bottom."

"Below Waterline: Surviving D495 Reports of Docking contained in ADM 136/13 (the ship's books) confirmed that everything under the waterline, to include the propeller shafts and rudder, was coated in Peacock & Buchan's anti-fouling paint (which was only supplied in grey and black). While there is some anecdotal evidence that Hood may have had a black underside around the time of her loss, photos taken as late as 22 May 1941 as well as footage of the wreck itself show the underside colour to be lighter than the black boot topping. This, combined with previous use, strongly suggest her bottom was coated in Peacock & Buchan's anti-fouling grey."

Stany, looks like you've got some modifications to make (bsb010_hood_1941_a.tga) ...!  8)

:D    ;D     Come on guys, I made it to complete the light gray livery for the gorgeous and much desired battlecruiser Hood for Christmas, so the gift Asheshouse gave us has a little addition! I also modified the hull of both versions according to cbradbury's indications, coloring it with the antifouling gray adopted by the Royal Navy and I added small details such as lightening the protective canvases of the guns, the Hood emblem and the degree of immersion on the bow. of the hull. The light gray version is a little more defined and therefore those who want lighter files will find them in the appropriate folder. Merry Christmas to all of you and thank you for all that good and beautiful you have given me throughout the year!

They can. That's how I do it (at least until I can help Andy with  integrating them directly into BAT via updates). If you need a guide let me know.

Hiya i do it myself but since upgrading to BAT Flashpoint etc im reluctant to mess with so many .ini entries Aircraft not an issue as only air.ini, planes and weapons. Such a shame this new lot didnt make it into 4.2.1 :-[
But i will defo be adding the Hood if its an individual d/l? Havent looked yet!
Merry xmas!

Hood works as an individual as long as you add the classfiles as well.

:D   Hello to all of you and good start for the third year a.C.  .... I ask for advice and a suggestion, I would like to double the length of the wake of all the ships in my fleet. I tried to mess around a little with the files (without success) in the folder "Trails elongated ships" - 3do - Effects - Tracers - ShipTrail, what should I change in the files Wake, WakeBoat, PropWakeBoat, Sidewave?  Thank you !
