And I wanted to ask, is it possible, in theory, to take content from BAT, namely the WAW era(maps and planes), and attach it to a dedicated server, thus obtaining a dedicated server for the WAW module? :)

I would really appreciate it if you could help

... I would say that BAT is not installed to that server at all.
863 missing aircraft classes means that except for stock content, nothing exists.
]cheers[
Mike
-
BAT is not installed on this server. This is an empty modifiable server. there’s nothing on it but a couple of cards
-
I do not know how to install BAT on the server. I did not think that this was possible at all. So I ask if it is possible to take content from the BAT game and copy it to the server ..
-
The log files that I sent are made from a non-working server, I turned everything back, I can send a new log file, already from the working server, look at it.
-

Hmm Russian?
If BAT v3.7 worked, try installing this for online use: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads&file=details&id=4408 ~30MB
Don't install it in the server, only in client PCs.
It won't break your BAT, but it may help.
-
How should modded planes work on it then?
-
No, not Russian) Ukrainian
Thank you Whistler, I'll try. How should modded planes work on it then?
I did not quite understand the question. Well, the opponent’s plane must be visible, and feel damage. I became as if the server was not modified.
-
All the information is still weird and confusing.
BAT is not installed on this server. This is an empty modifiable server. there’s nothing on it but a couple of cards
I received 5 logfiles and two screenshots via PM from you.
All of these show a custom modded 4.12.2 server installation.
Nothing like an "empty modifiable" server, rather an attempt to create a custom mod based on BAT.
But you've made a lot of mistakes when creating that custom modpack.
For instance, the whole BAT00 folder is missing.
Furthermore, the "logs.lst" file clearly shows that your server wants to load all BAT planes from air.ini, but the java classes are missing.
Last but not least, all other logs show a custom install of the P-47 modpack on top, but again with missing files (this time flightmodels).
- BAT 3.7 has never worked like that.
I have no idea why you claim that this sort of thing would have worked with 3.7 and got broken with 3.8, but truth being told, that whole thing you've created there doesn't work with anything and it never did.
It's simply messed up beyond repair. - You need to install BAT on the DServer in order to play BAT with a DServer.
If you do not have BAT installed on the DServer, you cannot play BAT on the DServer.
I mean... I can't play Ultrapack on a Stock 4.10.1 DServer either and honestly, I thought that'd be obvious.

Thanks for the answer Mike. We omit the details so as not to get confused even more. Tell me how to install BAT on a dedicated server. Let's start with a clean slate.
Can I take folders with content (planes and maps) and BAT games and put them on the server? Or is there another option?
Which third-party mods are not installed, I'm talking about the P-47
-
You'd just install BAT as if it was a Client, then drop the Server Selector files on top.
That's it.

Whistler, it doesn’t help) And I had Files.sfs I have both with the Russian and English versions of IL2. I initially installed the BAT on the English version of IL-2, and then the group asked for the Russian language, and I made Russian using the file.sfs from the Russian version of the IL-2

You'd just install BAT as if it was a Client, then drop the Server Selector files on top.
That's it.
Everything turns out to be so simple? It remains only to figure out which files belong to the selector.
-
Of all the correspondence, these were the most important words. "You'd just install BAT as if it was a Client, then drop the Server Selector files on top.
That's it."
That was all I needed to hear from you. This line must be knocked out of gold, and hang in a frame. This information did not catch my eye, but I guessed intuitively that this is possible .. True, I have not yet checked what, but I'm already glad:D
-
It remains only to figure out which files belong to the selector.
I'd suggest you use the ones that ship with it.
After all, it's a separate download:

Thanks so much Mike! Now there is something to do :D
-
Something is wrong ..) The server console window pops up for a split second and disappears immediately, then the server writes that it is not responding.
When configuring the server commander, he asked for the "confsini" and "server.cmd" files.
I copied these files from another server. I guess I didn’t understand something, or I didn’t configure something. What have I done wrong?

Sorry, Cyrillic alphabet.. I can't understand a single character.

But I write in English)

DESPEREAUX, the thing you are showing there is a Client game, not a server one.
Server "3do" SFS files are called "fb_3do01server.SFS", "fb_3do02server.SFS" etc., not just "fb_3do01.SFS" and "fb_3do02.SFS".
Didn't you say you've had a working BAT 3.7 dedicated server?
Why not take that one as starting point?

This is all very cool information you exchange.
I made this dedicated server part a new topic.
carry on by all means.
-
Everything is clear, we did not understand each other correctly. It turns out I have nothing at the moment. To begin with, where can I download the BAT server? The one you are talking about.
I still did not understand this line correctly.
"You'd just install BAT as if it was a Client, then drop the Server Selector files on top."

suddenly I found that the mod planes became invisible, (this is the same as the server default) before the update, all planes were visible
Mod planes are never visible on a stock server.
It just doesn't work that way.
Whatever you think you saw there... nope, doesn't work.
You need to have mod planes installed on all participating clients and the server in order to get them to work.
If you don't have them on the server, then each client will just see their own planes, but none of them will be replicated over the net, simply because they can't.
where can I download the BAT server? The one you are talking about.
There is no such thing like a BAT server download.
It's been stressed a few million times that BAT is offline only.
You have started with claiming to have BAT 3.7 working on a dedicated server, but now it turns out that you never had that apparently.
So... The theoretical path would be:
Install a Stock 4.12.2m Server.
Install BAT on top, all the way like you would for a Client.
Install The IL-2 Selector Server files on top.
Try.
Really, try it. You're doing something that's not officially supported, so you have to try yourself. YMMV.

I had a regular server 4.12.2, which I activate with your selector. Plus, I installed a couple of cards on it. That's all I had. The so-called "BAT server" ..
Now everything is clear! This is what I needed to hear.
Ka is not strange but it worked. I did not come up with this ..
-
Once again, you cannot play mod planes on a server that doesn't have them.
Simply doesn't work.
I need to stress that fact before others start to believe that story of a working BAT game on Stock Server.
It doesn't work, it cannot work, period.

I will have to download BAT again))) I will report the result later.
I understood you. thanks!

This is all very cool information you exchange.
I made this dedicated server part a new topic.
Thank you Vampire! I think it will be useful :D
-
I thought that I could outwit fate, and make the server from the client .. :)
-
I don't think you will have much success with it.
The furthest I got in a quick test was to have the server up for about 3 seconds.
And that's only after having tried quite a couple of things to even get there.

I thought that I could outwit fate, and make the server from the client .. :)
You can always host a multiplayer session from a BAT Client installation, that's absolutely possible.
You just cannot (easily?) create a BAT dedicated Server, that's all.

Yes, I know that what is simple and fast is to create a server in the client itself. Well, for the sake of interest, I'll try, like this.
-
Hi guys! I installed the server, started it, everything went fine, well, at the most vital moment,
when the mission download should start normally, the console window closes.
Here are the logs ..
https://drive.google.com/open?id=1yRWN7LHmEQQ3lxjsvRmohH9Yfn5fjUxy
As I understand it, for a server of fashion in "JSGME" and "HD dll" are not needed?
I removed the extra folders to save space ..

when the mission download should start normally, the console window closes.
That's exactly my result from the quick test as well.
As I said, BAT is not made to be operated as dedicated server.
This would probably need some changes to the DServer class for BAT, but again, not BAT's target audience.

Thank you Mike. If this is not a time-consuming process, perhaps you can edit this class under. Maybe someone wants to make a server.
-
I also want to do some tests with another server. I will write to you later.
-
Translator, written some garbage :)
Can you help with this question on the server (if it's not time-consuming) or me should not bother and delete it all?
-
Hi DESPEREAUX,
This is the current state of things:
You can always host a multiplayer session from a BAT Client installation, that's absolutely possible.
You just cannot (easily?) create a BAT dedicated Server, that's all.
You can host multiplayer sessions from a BAT Client installation: Coop, Campaigns and probably Dogfights will work to some extent.
You should not use BAT as a dedicated Server however, you have UltraPack 3.3 (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/board,190.0.html) for all your dedicated Server needs! Hundreds of planes in a proven, stable, fully supported platform.
I think there are no plans to make BAT server-ready any time soon. UltraPack 3.3 is the way to go as of today.
Cheers!
-
Thank you for the answer Whistler. Sorry for the stupid question :)
I just assumed, based on my narrow and incompetent view, that perhaps the problem is not as great as it might seem at first glance ..
-
I checked version 3.7 .. All the same, I was mistaken. These were the default aircraft, on a dedicated server with mod maps. : /
Don’t think about anything bad, I understand perfectly well that this cannot work, because the program needs to take data from somewhere. But until the last I was sure that it somehow worked. I don’t know why so, I probably dreamed. This is all because I started already an internal and dedicated server .. And for a moment it seemed to me that it worked. :D
