I recommend the 1955 film "Strategic Air Command".
Starring: James Stewart, B-36 and B-47.
Have a nice time watching.

Toward the Unknown - 1956
A lot of great scenes of 1950s fighters and bombers to include the XB-51 as the fictional "Gilbert XF-120"

A Gathering of Eagles - 1963
Like 12 o'clock High, but B-52s and instead of the Luftwaffe, SAC Inspector General is the enemy.

Then of course there is Dr. Strangelove and Bombers B-52

Another film that I recommend is: "The Bridges At Toko-Ri" from 1954.
Starring: William Holden, Grace Kelly, H-5 Dragonfly and F9F Panther.

Another interesting movie with planes is "Thirteen Days" from 2000.
The main roles are: Kevin Costner, RF-8 Crusader and U-2.

Another film worth recommending in this subject is the German film: Starfighter - "Sie wollten den Himmel erobern" from 2015.
Starring: beautiful Picco von Groote and F-104 Starfighter.

Oh yes, women and showers are serious business.
Maybe not quite the period, but I think that Top Gun has some of the best aerial shots ever made
