My steps (using lowengrins dynamic campaign generator) Pilot career>Air Force USMC>Rank Colonel>Career US Marine Corps in the pacific (DCG) I pick the first on press generate I am alt tabbed and nothing happens anyone know why?

Works as expected for me, so there is something wrong on your end. You have not provided much information here. Did you create a user-generated campaign or are you trying to run in auto-generation mode? I suspect the latter, in which case you need to make sure that you select...
Mode -> Offline Career (Full Auto-generation)
and
Mode -> Replace Career Generator (DGEN)
...in the DCG main menu screens.

The campaign with the title "Career US Marine Corps in the pacific (DCG)" is one developed by Paul Lowengrin (the author of DCG) and is meant for use with full auto-generation (is says as much in the Description box when you create the campaign.
If you generate your own USMC campaign from DCG you will also have to select a campaign file (i.e., Wake41) it will be labeled as user-generated.

Right. Have you selected offline career and dgen replacement on the dcg main menu?

I think so. You click generate at that point there is no progress to the next screen (the briefing). Is that correct? I have seen that plenty of times before, but usually because auto-replacement was not active. I tried this campaign myself on my install and it worked fine. Can you run any other DCG campaigns?

Oh, and could you post your dcgerror.txt file (it will be in the root folder of your game)? Be sure and use the Codes option to post it.

I can't do any of the other campaigns but I uninstalled my il2 and bat mod and I think it might be bat mod that is not letting it work

just one more thing have you tried playing multiplayer campaign because after I installed bat aka cup my multiplayer campaign wouldn't load anymore it just freezes do you know what bat could be doing to cause that?

Glad you got it working.
I use BAT but have never played online. BAT was developed specifically for offline play. For online, take a look at the HSFX and UltraPack sections here on this site. The latter is used by the SAS server. I have not tried that yet but it looks like a lot of fun.
