Title: HUD Speed, HDG, and alt how to remove the red text bottom left?

Question in title, also anyway to move the log aka engine power, flaps and so on to bottom right?

I fly IL-2 1946 v 4.12.2M HSFX v7.0.3 expert

I know this mod was not written for HSFX but I thought I'd try it anyway.
I chose the ModAct version and dropped the !#NG-HUD_v3.1 into my mods folder.

Wonderful It works a treat !   BUT.....  As soon as I start a mission it mutes my headset mike and I can't get it unmuted

Has anybody else had this problem and do you know the fix?

Hi Thrasher, welcome!

My answer: no idea :P

Let's do this: disable/remove NG-HUD and try Unofficial PAL HUD Config with BombSight Assist (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,58010.0.html). This will (at least) help determine if your issue was there before NG-HUD or not. Let us know the results.

Good news! that's the best scenario.

If the, let's say 'peculiarity', was there before, it would be difficult to troubleshoot, but since the issue only exists in NG-HUD we can trace back the moment the 'bug' was introduced by comparing different versions.

If you are happy with the PAL HUD Config mod and want nothing else to do with this, then forget about the tests I will propose, but it would be good if you help troubleshooting this problem for the benefit of others.

I will send you via private message previous version of NG-HUD. I would like you to try them all starting from v1.0, until you notice your mic mutes. I will then check what changed from version to version and hopefully, find the root cause and implement a fix...

Let me know how tests go either here or via PM.

I can only say, if it's any help, that I am also using this mod in HSFX 7 and have not found this problem to occur. My expensive headset (€10!) is working as good, or bad, as ever and the HUD mod is working fine.

and has the mod worked well in on-line play?  And does it work OK if one other pilot doesn't have the mod?  I'll be able to test this tonight as our whole squad will be testing it and there's bound to be one or two members who won't have installed it LOL

Sorry, Trasher, although it's dedicated to online play, I only play offline. I use it because it's well put together and loads very quickly. I also have VP's pack installed and it's great, but it takes several minutes to load for me and sometimes I don't have the patience.

Well our squad all loaded the mode with the exception of two pilots who will do it later.  We flew two missions and as far as we can tell everything went very well.  One guy had a couple of strange anomalies but we don't think that was mod related as he'd been having issues before the installation.   We were also able to determine that it has no effect when some have it and some don't which is good.

All in all a very successful MOD thanks
