Title: Salute to the Modders
Post by: dagger123456 on December 01, 2016, 05:23:42 PM
I admire all the people involve on modding this game.  Somehow bugs cannot be avoided and yet they can fix this.  At the same time, they will add more new stuff and more bugs goes along with it.  An endless tiring task.  Salute to all of you.

I agree, especially as the original stock game is 14 years old.

It sure is amazing how time flies.

Just think, without us, most of what we today enjoy about '46 would not have been possible.

Sometimes you just need to step back and have a look at what we all have accomplished together.

I hope to enjoy another 14 years with all of you around me.  :)

Here's to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness!

Hear, hear!

The content they put out makes the game capable of nearly any scenario you could want or dream of, and they do it all for free!
A great thanks to all of the skinners, modders, map-makers, and mission/campaign builders in the Il-2 community. It's the work you all have done that makes this game truly great, and more than able to hold it's own, even amongst the release of titles like ClOD, BOS, and BOM.

I must say I heartily agree with all the comments. I know they derive a great deal of enjoyment and satisfaction from their work, but their willingness to share their labors with the rest of us is greatly appreciated. So, hats off for all you do. Please keep it up.

A great thank you to all involved in keeping our old game "alive and kicking".

This is a most welcomed tribute thread to the modders. Without whom I have no doubt this game would have went the way of so many others in the past and simply faded away or just become obsolete. I can't begin to estimate the number of hours of fun and enjoyment in all those years that I have been provided with as a result of the hard work and dedication of the modders. It is nothing short of amazing what they have been able to do with nearly every aspect of this flight sim. Whomever you are, and wherever you are, please know that I stand in awe of your skills and talents and deeply appreciate all you have contributed to this game. Thank you all. ~Salute!

I found only 2 bugs (one is already fixed) and a semi-bug (seems more like no one had time to fix) in CUP. For such a monster pack, this is amazing! I cannot agree more with you.
