L-39 Pack, it replace all previous mod of L-39C, L-139C and L-159

Great! But... lol... one DT at ALCA is a... well... it's wrong. Instead of the single-DT, could you please do real (and widely used) option with 4 DT's?

yes, i can add 4x droptanks loadout

this mod was in test for a month and noone tell me nothing about it, and noone seem to have crash problems

about your 100% crash, i really don't know what happen

Could you try doing the working gunsight for A2G fire? I mean - using the bombsight code that already is on L-159, but using gun parameters instead of bomb - may be interesting experiment...

Thx! Real Albatroses arrived after what-if versions...
A question-the L-159 did not have working radar. Or i missed something? The real Alca have an multi-functional radar, as i know...
Another interesting "bug." When i using the L-159A, the LAU-3 rocket pods are in grapichally bad position. If i have drop tank/LAU-3, they both shared the same wing pylon. Not only in the arming screen, but even in flying. My untrained ground personnel trying to load bombs, drop tanks, maverick missiles into the LAU pod-and they win. :o Sidewinders are ok. Every loadout option without LAU are ok. Even 2xSidewinders+4xLAU-3 are OK. Other Albatros wariants are looks OK, and working. Anybody else have this graphical phenomena? I will post log at evening.
4.12, SAS Modact 5.30,(former TFM412) plus mods. I still have L-39 sounds and Petrel/Kestrel in my SAS directory, so possible that these older mods caused some conflict? Older L-39C and L-139/159 folders are totally removed before installation.
A little question-not possible to add more L-39Z loadouts without guns? Only have R-60/K-13 + droptanks option. Because the L-39ZO no guns, the L-39ZA yes, but both have the same wing stations. Albatros planes in Hungary for example ZO versions...

the LAU 3d bug is a my mistake, but very easy to solve

so your request is more ZA loadouts without gunpod

Vega I haven't yet installed this last version....

....but I agree with more loadouts in no guns configuration....

....and (I don't remeber if anyway available) a couple of droptank for the C because in this configuration 4 of them were used from SU-25 units as hack and familiarization planes in Afghanistan....

Installed and tested this new update without trouble!

All loadouts shown correctly apart some on 159 that share the same inner pilon with the weapon that should load under the middle one....

AGM65E shown correctly and don't give any issue with the game loading and running....I noticed that AI launch them after take off even if apparently there is nothing in sight....

About loadouts composition I agree with adding the same without guns on 159 or at least deleting it as option with the heaviest one....

About C loadouts no tanks option is present....historically it have wet pylons , adding a couple of them could be really useful....

DO NOT QUOTE PICS PLEASE!


I guess, you just only put "L - 39 _pack" folder in the "# JTW", and adding lines in the air. ini and plane.   file.

you should also consider this:  copy  all of file  "0D0947BC4C271B16"------"L39",and put in "!0000_Classfiles"  and "ZTD"  folder .

This method may not be accurate, but can solve the problem.

Curiously the habbit of glitches is just the same in these
harder methods, as in the just placing into JTW method.

BTW. I can // out the 159A and the rest of the Pack is just fine for me,
if someone finds a solution, good, if not I'm thankfull for what it is.

I give a brief look at your log....

I see a tokenizer error....IIRC this is due something wrong in some classfiles conflict....but I don't remeber when and where I see or got this issue....

I also see that you speach of CUP....if you have installed this on CUP maybe you have some conflict with some of those classfiles or 3do folders (the missing weapons are a sign because if the classfiles is missing the loading list should stop at the last available loadout)....

I believe that the most probable issue you have is CUP incompatibility....

it don't depends by L-39 pack, but is a bug of SAS Engine mod, it happen with all planes

Another issue: we have 220 rounds of 23mm ammunition. I think in real ZA "Alba" have only 150 round or so. Only wikipedia and some old aviation magazine info.(Russian, Hungarian) Not official, even the manufacturer home page and brochure also forget about it...

The C is reported have 2x150 liters or 2x350 liters droptank available....and pylon limit at 125 kgs....which is less than the 350 liters droptanks....

....I think that with the 150 liters droptank the plane have no G limitation while the 2x350 are ferry tanks and can be loaded but the plane have G limits....

So, no UB-32, only UB-16, but have a pair of 500kg bomb...Interesting for me that no UB-32.
Also possible to carry western designed 7barrel 70mm pods, and 12,7mm machine gun pods. (L-39Z modernised, not L-159!) Dont we have single barrel 12,7mm pods? T-6  texan/SNJ-4 mod have something similar. Super Tucano mod also...Another interesting picture:

Unfortunately, after this new pack installation and old versions deletion, Su-25 lost half of its loadouts - e.g. Kh-29L and S-24, now it has only bombs and R-60s missiles, maybe because it required old L-159G?

About 150L tanks: i think that the L-29, forerunner of the L-39 and former standard Warsaw Pack trainer originally used 150L drop tank. Because trainers mostly reused their drop tanks, after 2000 or so L-29 you still have 4000 pieces 150L tank in the warehouses. Using this old tank are a welcome option ;D Otherwise, without L-29 they are mostly useless.

F-16's cockpit uses 2048x2048 high resolution texture and you have to install, enable HD / Full color MOD.


If your PC has AMD CPU (not Intel one), HD / Full color MOD doesn't work on cockpits and ships.
You have to reduce those textures down-to 1024x1024 reslution by yourself.

Dear friends,

I'm a bit confused about mods lately. Actually, I wanted to add the L-39 pack to my collection. Howewer, it seems the road to this Pack is quite complicated. To make it short, activating the L-39 Pack means installing:

01) Level Stabalizer mod -> AH-1 Cobra helicopter mod -> Ranwers F-16 -> True Color mod -> SAS Engine mod 2.7 -> SAS Engine Patch by Western0221 - > US Marine Aviation pack

which all depend on one another

02) and separately -> SAS Common Utils

03) not ot mention all the air.ini(s), plane.ru(s) and zillion other items that need adding some lines.

Only after 01, 02 and 03 I can have my L-39 working. Now, my question is, can those new a/c mods be organised in a way that all files needed are neatly packed in one download? This way installation will be much simpler and, if someone already has parts of it, it's a simple question of owerwrite/skip.

The JetWar itself asks for quite a lenghty process of installing different items where many things can go wrong.

Finally, I regard all mods here at SAS a real gems, and this question is in no way a critical one. Only a suggestion, maybe...

Already done. Its called CUP.   http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,47647.0.html

In your case you would only require Module 1 (for the maps) and Module 4 (for Jetwar).
You can leave out the other modules or install them later as you wish.

Tnx asheshouse, it really is an answer that makes my question redundant. Anyhow, as a returnee to the world of IL-2 I just didn't have time to check all the news, and especially, new modpacks. CUP definately looks like one of the greatest steps since the "invention of modding" itself (just the manual presents a phenomenal work).

How do I operate the FLIR? 

When I switch to FLIR view it just stays in place, I cannot move it... most likely I am am not doing it right, which keys are supposed to move the FLIR so I can target?

I have to deactivate autopilot once I switch to FLIR view! because I "switched to bomber seat".
Now aiming with mouse works.
