Is there a known solution to this problem? I tried to solve it by reinstalling the WAW module and at first it seemed to work but then, I get it again and again.
I have no idea why. I am using the latest part 7 update. The game crashes when I´m flying ...

I tried the normal 4.12.2 and the HSFX 7.0.3 and I do NOT have that problem. So, it is sth related with the CUP itself.

Did you switch from one era to another?  I.E.; from WAW to TJA?

If you do you need to delete the last Quick file.  Go to IL-2 1946/Quicks and delete the file called Last.quick. or some such.

Ok, the first time is was using it but the second time I wasn´t. So I cannot be a 100% sure about it.

I have removed all the mods from the jsgmemods and been adding one by one and testing.
So far I have on:
from CUP (Big Clouds, FX_Small Collection, Gore for all Planes, TB Skies, True Color HD Skins and MissionProCombo)
from WAW (Guncam Tracers and Japancats Effects)

and running fine with no errors ...

I´ve just tried the #CUP_VisualMod9-412.2 and it worked fine. Then, I removed it and placed the 00_Pal-VisualMod9-412.2 and the game worked fine but the visual mod did not work. Weird! Now I am really confussed  ???

Bottom line is:

i don't want to sound mean or anything, but that is what i had been saying all along :D

japancats effects were not part of the original CUP download, only after i mentioned this mod to monty, he made the optional add-on available, but i instantly found problems with it (various crashes) and since we could not figure out with what it actually conflicts, monty directly removed it from the CUP add-ons list again.

it is my favorite add-on effects, but for CUP i sadly have to fly without it for now.

Dear community,

With me, CUP had been crashing mid-way through a QMB mission with the message “Il-2 6Dof/TIR Enabled Executable for Modded Il-2 Sturmovik 1946 has stopped working”. This is true for any combination of planes, any map.

Delete last quick doesn’t seem to improve anything.

So, I decided to start again from a virgin 4.12.2. Added SAS 5.3 and AI Flyables, and tested - all OK.

Downloaded the entire set of CUP components from scratch again,

Then added MME, then DOF and TGA to the install. All the while precisely following the instructions, including restore points.

I began to get exactly the same issues that I had before: the game always crashes a few minutes into a QMB mission.

I have since added WAW, and the same behaviour continues.

I’d really appreciate some advice: it’s a bit frustrating to download an install over the course of a fortnight, andf then only be able to play for five minutes at a time! ;-)

I have noted the earlier posts about suspect / incompatible mods - these are what I have been testing on:

There are a number of errors and warnings at various points in the log file, (e.g. Load static objects

... but I cannot see how to attach the file to this post.

I've had the same problem, esp. when using a campaign not designed for CUP WAW.

What I did was not use VisalMOD8 or VisalMOD9.  Since then I have no issues with "6Dof/TIR not working".

Hi Taxman and Spartan, thanks for your responses.

My test yesterday confirms what you say. No crashes over a period of a couple of hours.

Will try to activate VisualMOD8 and VisualMOD9 separately, to see whether it's one or the other, or both.

Edit: well, that's a total pain!

Activating VisualMOD8 completely replaced my conf.ini and buggered the whole install.

I'm running #WAW 20 and have started getting problem where 10 minutes into mission I get the above problem.
