Title: I didnt go deaf, did I?
Post by: .50calBMG on November 04, 2014, 08:06:10 PM
hey err'body,
I was messing around with the 4.12 sound pack Jiver made yesterday, but I ended up getting rid of it. I had returned to default 5.3 modact sounds, but now I only get the whirring prop and jet at full power sounds. does anybody know what I did?

Hi,

AFAIk this pack was not made by Jiver but adopted rather.

What does messing around mean?
If you activated via JSGME, check that all components are removed.
Open the files, see their structure and make sure the target folder (SAS) is clean of all remains.

I recall having had similar issues though when switching sound packs (IIRC also Jiver's great one or Tiger's) in DBW back and forth.
Now I always have a ticking clock.

Check files, remove.

And for correct feedback, best post a logfile as well.

Gerax: Lol. :D
We all got that ticking clock.. :P

To the issue..:

If you however activated the mod overwriting an existing, then deleting that may cause many sounds to miss.
In that case I would delete all sound mods and start over-again, if so and alwqays backup files :P.

well, this thread has no more use because I ended deleting my whole install to start again from scratch due to freezing every 10 seconds, so maybe someone else can find this helpful.
