Cockpit Bf 109-E1 and E3 by F_Red

I am pleased to present you the cockpit of Messerschmitt Bf 109-E1 and E3 form F_Red as a standalone mod.

Like Dewoitine D.520 (http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,42984.0.html), it's just the cockpit of F_Red present in his pack, and extract form it for the delight of all too.

The only changes made are designed to make the cockpit compatible with versions that don't have a complex system to startup.
These changes are essentially withdrawing some animations or effects available in the orignal pack. Note that it is therefore possible that there are problems with some animations. Please report them to me.

New version : beta 3 : Remove all previous versions of this mod before installing the new one.

Gosh, that`s nothing but genius!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!


 Not only has F_Red modeled the ammo counter for the MG FF (finally it`s in game?!):

In fact, F_Red had made only E3. But as the E1 and E3 are very close, I've also put on E1.
The canopy has a different in E4 and E7 has system oxygen management more complex.
But this mod may be a basis for further work.

FYI, I use the ultimate 109 pack V4 and the GW_combined cockpit pack :)
btw, I get a 30% mission loading crash when trying this 109 pit pack...

is there a mod that allows the pit to be seen like that aboe pic. When i fly it is always smaller and cant see the whole inside without moving the mouse around. or is it just zoom in/out?

I think I've found a bug, or perhaps is only my installation problem, but I can´t focus in or out shight view using Shift + F1.

I'm happy you like it.

Da war nicht viel zu ändern, hatte nur ca. 30 Minuten benötigt.

Wer immer die Cockpits gemacht hatte, er hatte wohl kein "ß" und nahm stattdessen das große "B".

Zwei "ff" durch "ll" ersetzt und die kleinen Striche, das war es dann auch schon.

Jaja, die scharfen S ...

In den 80ern mußte ich mal einen Mannesmann-Tally Hybrid Drucker
(Nadel und Typenrad), der mit einem Schweizer Typenrad kam
und rasch geliefert werden sollte, umcodieren..
die haben kein scharfes S da, also nahm ich den senkrechten Strich
und die 3, dann beide Zeichen auf dieselbe Position gehämmert ...
hat Scheiße ausgesehen, war aber zumindest eine vorläufige Lösung  ;D

Mit den Drucker-Steuercodes ging das ja ... damals.  8)

Catsy,

two things I`ve noticed.

First, in the E-3 when you used up the ammo for the cannon MG FF the two red lights, indicating that no bullet is in the chamber anymore go out, which is correct BUT is has to be the two outer lights, not the two in the middle.

When you look at the inscription above the red lights it`s
Fl. R. R. Fl. (from left to right), whereat Fl. is an abbreviation for Flügel (wing) and R. for Rumpf (fuselage)

Also in the Bf 109 E-1 cockpit the lamps for the outer MG`s are not working and - same as above- the lights have to be switched in order to indicate the right weapon

The counter is set to zero which is correct, but the lamps should work like in the E-3, i.e. red lamps on as long as their is a bullet in the chamber and no red light when all ammunition is used up.

As mentioned earlier : lovely work,but for some reason or another I'm having a problem getting it to show up.I'm playing with latest version of DBW/SAS and have downloaded & installed this mod through JSGME as indicated.I tried to see it in a Quick Mission flying the 109E-3 and the cockpit was the same as before .I got clever & name changed it so it would appear near the top of the SAS Mod folder list.I thought that perhaps it was being superceded by anothe 109 cockpit mod.Still going back to the game after a restart I still have the older ( but still very good) cockpit.Perhaps i missed something? I want to get this right so when the "F& G pits come along I can do a correct inatall first time around.. ;)

Hopefully the bullet is in the chamber. A bullet in the muzzle would indicate a stoppage, and the next round down the barrel would certainly blow a sizeable chunk out of your wing....  ;D

 :P I`m a fundamental pacifist and non native english speaker... it took me some minutes to actually write a word like muzzle, and then I even fucked it up, damn.

Dietz, look at compatibillity notes in first Post, it says 412 only, since it has
 a new Folder and classfile structure you can't get it without breaking other content
 of your Install. For DBW it would mean to rewrite existing Cockpitstructures, which I think
 we'll not see for a new Pit.
To get this Mod you'll have o install Modact 5.30 in 412 or TFM-412.

Thanks for the explanation- sometimes these things will work with later versions & sometimes not.I did check my SAS 109 folder & it did not look compatable with what I found in this mod unfortunately...

No Prob, I know what you mean, that was my first thought too, trial and error is my name, it works on the E-4/E-7 in DBW, then screwing up BCDs + E-1/E-3.
The other way it works limited too, but then the other Pits are surealistic. In the DBW as far as they are bound to E-7 as mother folder, this will screw sth. up.

it works and it´s great ... only the REVi is always in the centre now, I don't know if that was intentionally done so.  :)

The most beautiful cockpits for the old Il2 so far, no doubt.

The only thing that`s left is that a modder does adapt the canopy so the cockpit can it be used for the E-4 and E-7 as well.

Catsy, there's a prob in 4.101m/DBW for both E-1 and E-3
I have it loading before Antos latest Ultimates and I can't
 get a Cockpit at all. I see the Model in Pitview of the Pilot,
 from his hip upwards, never saw legs in IL-2.
Everything is empty and Texture comes from
the Default Skin. In external view no canopy showing.

I tried the 4.09 version in my 4.10 DBW 1.71 install and the pit and everything showed up,even the external canopy.Only problems seen is the two front glass panels in the front sides of the external canopy seem to be missing,there doesn't seem to be any artifacts though and it appears that the canopy is none functional,it won't open.  :-X

This is 4.101m/DBW trouble, please read my Posts, it works flawlessy in TFM-412 and Modact 5.30 which is 4.12.2 as well.

I have no canopy in 4.10 DBW external view either. I have a similar issue ( misaligned canopy, rather than missing ) using the GW combined Bf-109 pack for all models earlier than the E-4.

I don't know how cockpits and external views interact, but could the problem be with the aircraft model rather than the cockpit ?

Yupp, the prob lies in a Plane folder hier.him conflict, I tried tracking down IES2 plane folder entry, but
couldn't solve it with my attempts. Although the Blister(Canopy) is not invisible, I'm running out of
ideas too.

 Is working is MOD ativ 4.30 4.12.2, i install in #SAS folder the "files" folder, with new name "! Bf109-e3 Freddy Cockpit", suberb work, much more than i was waiting... BIG TY to FREDDY!

I managed to put the cockpit in the E-4 and E-7 model, but the control stick and the compass has no animation. Other instruments and controls are working. Any suggestion?
