Title: Help Installing DBW for 4.12.2

I've been attempting to install Dark Blue World for a few days now onto my copy of IL2 with marginal success, so I figured I'd ask around here and see what help I could get. I'll preface this by stating that my knowledge of modding IL-2 is - at best - extremely limited, and I'd appreciate as direct an explanation as possible.

As it stands, I have a working steam copy of IL-2 1946 v4.12.2, with SAS ModAct 5.3 and UP3 RC4 installed on top of it. I've downloaded and installed DBW 1.71, however upon launching the mod it crashes consistently at 40% (all JSGME mods disabled). I'm fairly certain this is because my game is v4.12.2 instead of 4.10, and if so is there any way to downgrade it to 4.10 through patches? I welcome any ideas as to why its crashing (UP3 and SAS 5 work fine, by the way), and hope for a speedy solution.

I'll let you know if it works.

I have a question, on the link you posted on your topic, what if you downloaded the thing above it? the DBW 1.0 to 1.71 Super Pack One-Stop Download & Install.

I downloaded UP RC4 separate and the mod above as well and added them both together. the problem i have is DBW and DBW 1915 Crashes at 25% or 30% loading, and when i select UP3 it freezes at 95% to 100%. i haven't tested the other ones yet. the thing is you mentioned steam, and i got the game off there. so if you can help i would greatly appreciate it.

Post by: skitchie on March 21, 2014, 11:09:38 PM: I'm not sure what would happen if you downloaded the hotfix, I don't think I had to, but I would google solutions to those errors you have and if that doesn't work, yes, download it. sorry for the late reply!
