This is the First Public Beta of my Russian Carrier Named Murmansk (Thanks to Archie for the Name).

I do not know which version this works with so I put down my 4.10.1 install.

a Read me is included in the files.

In order to get this ship to work you must have installed the following mods
*

Western 2.13 ship extension ( for the missiles )
Western USS Essex SCB-125 angled deck pack ,  Clemenceau class carrier ships

This is only the First release I have to add some more AA guns and a Deck Gun and some other detail that is to come.

Installed it into 4.12.2, MA5.30, SAS Engine Mod 2.70, Westerns AI ship Extention 2.20.
Carrier works OK, missiles shot down 2 attacking Crusaders without any problems.

Yak-36 AI start from Carrier is OK , but have a look:
when placed on deck the height over deck is too high I think.

yes I agree Gerax It has a been a problem I am still trying to fix. On some planes it's level on others it is not. Western suggested to me a while ago that it could be a collusion box so for about 1 hour I went around changing it's height but it seemed if I'd put it lower than what it is the wheels would end up under the deck and it was a problem for landing.

I Will take another look for the next update release and see If I can fix it.

Nice.

Was that green deck a Soviet hope gesture? I don't remeber having seen such a deck ever. It really ressembles a football stadium (I'm kidding).

the Russian Navy Kiev Class aircraft carrier had a greenish deck which is what Archie was using to skin this one.

Thank you Casper. That was so funny I almost spit coffee on my monitor. :) This is a nice carrier and thank you blazing for sharing it. I hope I didnt offend with a small joke over the color of the deck. :)

I was not offended at all. I did laugh at the video Casper put up. I am actual going to put some guns on the ship and see if I can fix a few texture stuff today, then I'm going to experiment with a ski jump.

ok after A bit of tweaking I got somewhere with the ai for ski jump. but it appears it only works with the help of the catapult, still got more to experiment with it but it's getting somewhere.

THX for that, the weird thing is that when I just enter the mission which consists of this carrier the game just crashed. Same thing happened before when I tested a mission with blue side plane and red side French carrier together. I assume something may be wrong with the ship extension mod but I'm not sure

eh, I have several versions of IL2, but I only install additional mods over 4.10+DBW1.71, and of course I've installed the ship extension mod & French CV pack.

hmm ok it may be a conflicting mod, I know I had a plane that would cause the same problem but not sure if it affects your game the same way.

The plane that caused it for me was the SU - 25

yea I don't think it's the ship and plane that are the problem but the mods that each mod use are conflicting.
