Great plane, but could be made a 4.09 compatible version, too? The actual one gives a "mission loading:null" message when the plane loads in QMB.

Strange that it doesn't work Benelli, cause with the 409 files and DiffFM it works in 410 (DBW 1.71).

Hello Skipper, the Beech 18 worked superb in my 4.12.2 with ModAct 5.33. 8)

I tried her in my 4.11.1 with ModAct 4 and I got a CTD at 100% while loading the QMB mission, the 409 file cured that problem, lovely. ;)

Hey Skipper,
Thanks for this Epic aircraft.  She is beautiful.

However, I saw this mod is for V. 4.12.  So I tried it in my DBW installation.  It worked until I launched a QMB mission and then at 100% I got the "MISSION LOADING Failed: null" message. 

Oh Well, maybe someday.  Then a few days later a FM for 4.09 was released, then a FM for 4.10 was released, so I tried installing the mod again.  Same problem.  I tried several different maps, but kept getting the same error, although the Log.lst files looked similar if not the same.  I also installed the Antenna patch.  Same error.  Then I saw the post about the Heir.him addition, so I tried that.  Still getting the same error, but the Log.lst files changed dramatically and it seems to not like the Heir.him changes....

Is there a possible solution for my problem?  I understand that you may not have a 4.10 installation on which you can test, but perhaps someone else has the knowledge to help me over this hump.

I tested in a 4.09 UP2.01 configuration, and it gives to me a "Mission loading:null" error, that's why I never stated that is caused by a FM problem. For example it could be a cockpit problem (typical for many "4.10 to 4.09" conversions)
Tested also the new classfiles for 409, but stil no luck. Can anyone in 4.09 confirm my problem?

Oh-ho-ho .. I can only say that anyone can take on the reexamination and correction of classes for 4.10 and 4.09. I know from experience that it is often necessary to recompile classes for  many mods that appear in the access and then they start to work .

...sorry, surely it's my fault (because English it's not my native language), but I did not understand anything of what you proposed in your last post :) By the way, I made further tests (trying all the patches posted) and discovered that that plane doesn't load even if controlled by AI (always "Mission loading:null" error), so maybe it's a FM problem. I still hope that some other 4.09 rebel could give me confirm if this plane works in 4.09 UP2.01, and I also hope that our beloved 4.09 Guardian Angel could give a look at this :)

I do not like the system of patches, but I do not have a team to oversee the various cases. On the contrary, I could take not  into account the development of the idea of community. But. I am always happy initiative from other users to make changes and improvements.

Please? Also, I noticed some mistakes on the plane: The cockpit (Outside part) has the wrong arrangement of windows, the B-25's inside isn't similar to it either. The gear's also missing the outside part, the plane sinks through the ground when it crashes and there's a mapping error on the roof, shown here:

the kind of errors you describe above are inherent to many 'franken' planes, and pretty common.
do not expect the same level of accuracy with these franken-type planes, it's simply not possible, due to their nature.
please accept this.
the guys do their best with franken-planes, but they are called so for a reason.i won't tolerate nit-picky type complaints in the franken-plane section, it is simply not fair on the modders.
if you want it perfect, then make your own one.  we can always use more modders.  ;)

I'm planning on making my own B-26 template (Since the skins used are for the B-25, which causes some mapping issues) by using Jarink's B-25 Template and the B-26 skins for the internals. Also, people keep saying Diff_FM is included in the Modact, but it's not.

it's certainly included in the Engine Mod, and it should really be that file i mentioned in your other thread.
if you're still having no luck, then i'm not sure what to say, but i'll get some of the other guys to look and see if they can help - it might be something wrong with your install....

Sure think. But I do hope someone makes the skin I requested (Pictured above). I though the mapping problem was fixable because the A-20 has the same thing in engine no. 2 and that was fixed in the Engines and Cowlings fix.

of them. ;D

Edit:
Added Ecto's Antenna fix and no probs with that. Also, Thank You for changing
the loadouts, much rather see boxes flying out the hatch than para's. ;)

This is a great aircraft, much needed by we gentle people who like transport flights where we can admire the scenery! It will also make a rough stand-in for the Focke Wulf Weihe. In my 409 set-up I found that if you tried to take off using the autopilot the plane nosed over. I have experimented however, and I have found it does not do this if you fly empty or even with paratroops. It also does not do it if you reduce fuel to 50%. If you really have to fly with the default weaponry and full fuel you can avoid trouble by giving the positive elevator trim a sharp jab when you see a nose-over starting. This is just to help anyone who has the same problem; no criticism is intended.

I can confirm this bug (tested on 4.09 installation), and as a temporary solution you and AI can take off with 50% fuel. By the way, thanks to all involved in this mod and its 4.09 conversion. ^^

 I was able to get the plane to function in 409, this version should also function in most other versions of the game.

Gio was kind enough to repair the mapping defect at the top of fuselage.

Flightmodel has been corrected so no more nosing over at take off.

Bug report:

During crashed landing, plane is sinking into ground like in water :( (TFM 4.12, Slovakia map).

Skin folder doesn't work (no skins available, although folder Beechcraft containing skins was copied into PaintSchemes/Skins).
Solved: A skin folder name should be changed to "BeechCraft-18"

I know it has been good while since anyone has posted on this thread, but I was hoping there was someone out there that was able to get the "armed" version of this Beechcraft up in the air and how? I tried the original that required the patch over the civilian Beechcraft. This showed the guns in the QMB but I could never get it to show up. I tried the first version with the new slot. I added the antenna patch all was good and then added the gun lines to the heir.im and the plane disappeared. Yes I had no trouble with the last version whatsoever. Sure hope someone was able to fly this Bird in it's armed version. Thanks in advance for any help...PS: trying to fly it in VP's modpak.
