This Package gives all F86 and Mig mods from HSFX to your manual instal games, including Freddy's Sabre Cockpits
This started out as an update pack to Peter's Sabre and Mig 15 manual instal pack, but I found some of the 3d was changed or added or removed in hsfx. (I did not look very deeply, just enough to see there ware a change). Also it was becoming complicated with Freddy's sabre pit in or out, and I saw looming problems with people's install orders and the like. In the end, the only way that made sense to me was to repack everything, and make this a complete Sabre's and Mig 15 "Pack" for guys who do not have HSFX or UP20.
So, only install this if you dont have HSFX or UP20, and if you dont have previous PeterD manual install Mig15s or F-86's in your game, and also if yo dont have our previous patches for those to give them Ranwers's improved Mig 15 Cockpit or Freddys F86 cokpits. This replaces ALL of that, and gives you all 3 models F86 included in HSFX/UP and Both Mig15s and the Mig17 placeholder (it uses Mig 15 body for now). It also includes all contrail and other fixes as far as I know, and includes Freddy's cockpit for the Sabre and Ranwer's improved Mig15 pit.

Other changes between these and HSFX version is that I edited the decal hooking in the meshes and default paints of the MiGs alittle bit, removing the default RU North Korea markings, and also moving the numerals for most nations to the nose.
v2: Also the Mig and Sabre install Packages are now seperate, and the Migs include the Droptanks mod from Aviaskins by Ilyushin. I adapted it for all the MiGs.
Also the 100% missionload crash is now solved, and the MiGs weapontriggers are again seperated.

Freddys Cockpits by Freddy, calssfile adaptations by Sani and SAS TEam, Mig15 Pits by Ranwers, The rest by PeterD and credits as with his credits: PeterD /Lieuwe /Flakiten /Fatduck /DrJones /Kumpel

Note that this does not include the edited motorclasses from HSFX, as this would destabilise the rest of your game, so these sabre's miss a few tricks. What those are I dont know realy...perhaps your wings will come off if you dive supersonically...
These are the same as the original PeterD manual download in terms of content, but with the new FM's form HSFX4.1's latest fixer.

Compatiability and Bugs with Histomod Korea pack :
There will be a few bugs if you use these together. Firstly, the inside view of your Sabre Cockpits on the ground, tha canopy may be in reverse, sicking out the front. To resolve this, replace the identical files in your SAS SabrePack with these

Also change the name for thr f-86 cockpit folder in
MODS\PeterDs_HSFXUP_Sabres\3do\cockpit\F-86
to
MODS\PeterDs_HSFXUP_Sabres\3do\cockpit\F-86AF
The second bug is that your F series Sabres will not have a canopy in outside view. This is because the Histomod used a plane classfiles name (F_86F) which is identical to the superclass name of all F series sabres in HSFX/UP/SAS. There is no easy way to solve this from either side, so, that means that you have to disable the file and plane in histomod if you want the SAS versions.
To disable the F_86F in Histomod, go to your air.ini file and remove the line
F-86F_Sabre air.F_86F NOINFO usa01 SUMMER
and then inside your histomod pack, remove the file called 0A78571890222D00
For those who want to keep the Histomod 86F rather, I advise not installing this pack at all.
To those guys who complained about the above two bugs, I think that next time you find a bug in an F86s pack, and you happen to have a whole other F86 pack in your game, you may want to just mention it, since it will save me a lot of time tracking it down.

tiny but irritating problem: when i add these birds my US roundels turn into pure white and cant identify allied planes :( and i have traced it to the f-86 specifically. any ideas why this happening? ordinarily i wouldn't mind, but whats a f-86 without US markings? :P

I have installed this fantastic jetpack (thanx for Your effort), but unfortunatelly I got very strange problem:
MIGs planes works like a charm - unfortunatelly when I want to fly Sabre - there is an error message: Mission Load Failed: Null
Any ideas how to enjoy those beauties with Freddy's cockpit?

Hi zack, rename folder "PeterDs_HSFXUP_Sabres" (in you MODS folder) in "AAA_PeterDs_HSFXUP_Sabres", and rename folder "1v SAS Weapons Classes" (in you MODS folder) in "AB_1v SAS Weapons Classes". It had been done for folder "AAA_PeterDs_HSFXUP_Sabres" was placed BEFORE folders "AB_1v SAS Weapons Classes" and "AAA_Weapons" in you MODS folders

I have one graphics issue on all the F-86's, anybody help please. I have no other F86 packs in my game. This is a POV issue as if I move POV forward the black bar? disapears. Thanks.

Cirx, i think he mean the black bar in front of gunsight, not the black sky. I think it's part of external 3D, this cockpit isn't positioned propably and the distance from pilot's head to the point external model appearance (I don't know how this is called, "mask" or something) is too low, so u can see parts of external cockpit's 3D inside it.
I also noticed some bug: bulletholes (here, as well as in standalone version of cockpit) on canopy don't match it - they apear in front of it and when u open canopy they are in the air between windshield and canopy.

the bulletholes if probably just a him file error. A bug. But a small one. :)

Not sure what you mean but I am talking about the black sky, as shown in my pic, its a POV issue as if I move my view forwards it eventually disapears, also if I look up it disapears, wierd that I am the only one who has this issue, waiting patiently in the hope someone can provide a possible fix. Thanks.

It`s a good idea to have bomb/rockets loaded on MiG-15bis, PLAAF used quite a few MiG-15bis as STURMOVIKs in the 60s and 70s

The biggest problem is the AI's ability to run full AB forever and not overheat it seems.
Someone in another forum suggested turning of overheat for the player and said that helped.

I've got a question about the MiG-15: is correct it does not have smoke from the engine while the F-86 does?
If i want to add it, where should i look for?

so it is correct.
I dont know if theres any place u can find a smoke addon for the mig-15/17.
But i think the old mig-15 made by rawners has smoke see hear:

but its not avalible any more, u can try asking for who still has the old frankenplane.

Great work on the MIG-15 and Saber Jets there a Alot of fun to dogfight with online the MIG-15 is my fav of the Pack the cannon is kick Butt lol

Well, before i go on i must say that this is a very good addition to my game and the migs work without problem, however like frogman2, i have run into a problem with the Roundels being completely filled in white, it dosent only effect the F-86 but all aircraft that i try to put markings on. It only seems to effect any U.S Markings but not other country's.

This mod is obsolescent, so if I were you, I wouldn't even download it. If you're running 4.101, I highly recommend trying UP3 or Dark Blue World. Or if you're just looking for a stand alone mod, try the 1956 JetWar pack.
Or if you're running 4.09 for some reason, I'd just get UP 2.01 ::)

Hey guys, I love these fantastic mods, and edpecially Freddy's F-86 cockpit,
but when I look down at the instruments in the cockpit, my normally IL-2 smooth as glass
frame rate becomes a slideshow.
Any ideas so I can enjoy this wonderful cockpit?

Unfortunately you only have 2 options:
1) upgrade your PC graphic card
2) go to 3do/cockpit/F-86 and reduce the size of the tga files, which unfortunately means the clear-crystal instructions written all around the cockpit and the gauges will turn blurry.

I can get this far, but when I shrink the gauge, panel, etc, I can't seem to save it, and when I open it again, it is back to the original size?

What are their performance? And how the act towards overheating when driven at 100% power?
With the new 412 I find some older game version jets with really lower speed performance and almost unusable due overheating.

Cruise speed for the MiG 15 is 850 kmh!
Can you test the F86 and the MiG15 in a simple level flight and report which top speed you reach?

Mig 15 runs at the right speeds.... well 30 ks slower at sea level. And closer to spec at 5000m. Sorry I forgot the actual numbers. This is providing the speed read out is IAS.
