This great Nagato model is a rental one.
Original 3D maker is zakozako.
Converting to IL-2 by western0221.
Some parts' 3D are made by SKG.

I have been in contact with Mediafire.
My Yorktown *.rar file has been classed as a "special" archive and hence, for a free user account, restricted to 10 downloads per week.
Mediafire are looking into the problem for me since I pointed out that, based on their own posted policy, the file was not a special archive just a standard rar file.
Don't hold your breath though.

Generic IJN battleship is replaced following kind instructions of SAS~Epervier (see: http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,20755.msg432257.html#msg432257).
In order to do the same, pls install IJN Nagato mod. Pls make backup of ships.ini file. Then pls delete default entries of IJNBBGeneric from com/maddox/il2/objects/ships.ini
and put new entries instead of them.

No Cannon sound in HSFX7 for me. Does anybody know how to fix it?

our mods, in general, aren't tested for HSFX, as that is a completely different pack, different site, etc. it's geared for online play, whereas we are geared to offline, so there might well be issues there.
better to ask this in our dedicated HSFX section, so as not to burden our modders with trying to answer questions like this, as they generally don't use HSFX, and therefore cannot be expected to make their mods HSFX compatible.
that said, many members do use HSFX, so you should get some help in the HSFX section ;)

I have Nagato running ok in HSFX6. No sound problems.
There should be no difference in HSFX7, though I have not yet installed it in that.
Do you see any errors listed in the logfile?

I hear the sound of the main guns now. I just expected them to be louder.

I can't seem to get it to show up in game when I replace the Generic BB. It worked for the Colorado

did you install it properly? I mean a folder with the correct name for the generic IJN with the Nagato files in the 3do and the proper entries in the ships.ini from the Nagato under the header of the IJNBBGeneric?
works for me without problems

I did exactly that and it doesn't show up while playing the game(it shows up in the full mission editor though), the fact I don't have a good mission or map where I can easily test it on doesn't help either.

You need to post your logfile so we can see what is not working for you. http://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,13457.0.html
Open Full Mission Builder (FMB) and look for it in Object/Ships.
If the 3D image of it appears in the drop down menu then you have installed the basic model ok.
If not check your mod install again.
If it appears in FMB ok but does not appear when you run the mission then you probably have a problem with the installation of the Gun properties.

...yeah, as asheshouse said; happened to me sometime too when installing new ships; if you do not add the new gun values to the ships.ini, the ship will not show up in game;
and for testing if ships work or not, a small tip from me; take one of the carrier landing training missions from the stock game, see how the ship you want to test is labelled in-game (chief.ini is the place to look) and then simply replace one of the escort ships of the carrier with the ship you want to test;
that´s how a sample from my install looks (do not mind the weird composition of the task force :D I was just adding some new ships to CUP and wanted to test them)

Looks like you are missing the strength entry for the Nagato's hull which goes in the top section of ships.ini

So, anyways, I followed your instructions, overwrote the IJNBBGeneric, deleted the earlier Nagato entries, and now I get a 70% CTD with this error:
I never told you to do that!
I told you to check the entries of the Nagato in the ships.ini!

Alright, when you said a page ago to overwrite the generic BB, I followed that. I removed the Nagato entries cause I thought it would get screwed up if there were duplicates. I had installed the Kongo too so I got rid of those...
