Thank You Loku!
Another masterpiece has arrived.
It is so beautiful polish biplane.

PS. I've noticed strange AI behaviour - all PWS's are hitting the ground when are controlled by AI.
Thank You.

Great stuff! I saw this beautiful aircraft in the Aviation Museum in Krakow next to the PZL P-11c! The two unique in the world.  :)

I've noticed strange AI behaviour - all PWS's are hitting the ground when are controlled by AI.
While the AI fly low... but I encountered this problem on some maps (Kuban, Slovakia). On others it works!
I know that the mission on the map Slovakia is poorly made (the direction of takeoff/landing is reversed).
So I think this problem is primarily related to the manufacturing quality of the missions...

Another one of those wonderful pre WWII planes ....

Here are a few skins. Not all are historical, but they might be useful for missions anyway.

Hi,archie1971. I was just going to say it looks like a good stand in for an Avro 626, or a Stearman PT38.  I'm sure the skins will look great when they arrive. I just took it for a spin in DBW1.71. I landed it just fine. I don't think my ground crew would have any cause to complain.

cheers

I was just going to say it looks like a good stand in for an Avro 626 ...

Avro 626 = Tatra T -126 = PWS - 26

it is to same aircraft, but different factories

Hi,

I`m sorry but PWS - 26 is not the same aircraft as Avro 626 and Tatra T- 126...
It`s from A to Z Polish construction although its history has some little connections with Avro 621 Tutor which was built in Poland under licence as PWS-18 ;)
Have a nice flying day !

I have problem with AI planes and Auto-pilot landing on test runway airfields on grass, plane just crash on ground like loosing altitude and breaks up its wheels...can someone fix and make update for this?

Here it is how it looks like, I tried test runway on this map, because of file size, but reason I use test runways are lack of airfields on some maps...

http://www.mediafire.com/?gvh6965h3l6s336 (http://www.mediafire.com/?gvh6965h3l6s336)

To try it, just copy/paste 0.mis file into Ubisoft\IL-2 Sturmovik 1946\Missions folder and run it with FMB

Thanks ;)

Sometimes layered files/templates, have features included such as grouped layers and such, that older, simpler programs like GIMP or PSP7 do not support. Hence they won't open.

To remedy that, I usually open them in a later version of PSP, then save as a PSP7 compatible file ... you loose some features, but it doesn't really affect the template (unless there are more than 100 layers - then any layer above the 100th gets lost with a conversion to PSP7 compatible).

So, unless each roundel on each wing, upper and lower, and each aileron on each wing, upper and lower has it's own layer and so on, there is little to worry about. But should that be so nonetheless, then in the more recent version of PSP, you either need to delete some unessential layers for your needs, or merge layers together, so also reducing the number in total.
