The new Soviet default locomotive from Oleg (MOLVA)+GreifWerke
Which will be replaced DEFAULT locomotive
The locomotive of the series "Y"-cargo locomotive with 0-4-0 wheel formula is also called "Little E"
was mass produced from 1910-1920 was originally commissioned for the Vladikavkaz Railway. Used in the Caucasus, the Urals and the Volga region
on the road with small radius curves Later replaced by a series of big brother "E" with a 0-5-0 wheel formule (currently under construction), the most massive trade in the history of the locomotive. Even hitting the Guinness Book of Records.
Steam locomotives of the series "Y" off commissioned(scraped) in 1957 year.
That locomotive in correct scale 1:1 to original.
Installation:
On the example of version 4.9

In various versions and MOD activators path may be different to 3do
The second important point - the new locomotive is integrated with the tender
Open with notepad file chief.ini and shall appear in the list of Soviet railway trains / / (two slashes before the tender)

Interested parties can duplicate the engine in "zug" by applying extra locomotive in front or put an extra engine in the tail.

I edited the lines in the chief.ini as per instruction but wherever I put the two folders (PRVZ and PRVZ_DMG) it doesn't work. :(

In my DBW1.71 Stationary Objects the Locomotive looks like this, default 3D model with new skin.
So at least it seems I installed it in the right place I would say.

I noticed that in folder PRVZ there is one file still in cyrillic (Parovoz_ .....1.max)
Maybe that's got something to do with it?

(just the old trick to made it loaded before the stock)

I made mine copying in the Tga the markings found on...a site of train modellers ! :D
(in this case my path is #DBW / _0_Locos-Germ / 3do / Trains / Prvz_B & Prvz_B_Dmg

I have similar problems.
It loads and looks ok as a stationary object but I still have the default USSR Loco for the moving trains.
My installation is "Classic" Mod setup using HSFX5 with SAS Modactivator for HSFX.

Solved -- I think
The files provided are ok. No body.sim required.
folder structure needs to be created root/MODS/USSR_Loco/3do/Trains/PRVZ/summer
This enables the moving train.
no winter version is provided
Also need copy of the files here for the stationary version
root/MODS/USSR_Loco/3do/Trains/PRVZ
Was there a stationary winter version of the default loco?
The above is a bit clumsy.
To avoid needing duplicate files instead edit technics.ini
Add summer into the path for the msh file location, as below.
Note this would allow a winter version of the skin to be added too.

At least I got the locomotive running and will see later on for the stationary object. :)
It is all a bit confusing but in DBW drop the files of the extracted "PRVZ" folder in root/MODS/USSR_Loco/3do/Trains/PRVZ/summer/
For the damage model drop the files of the extracted "PRVZ_DMG" folder in root/MODS/USSR_Loco/3do/Trains/PRVZ_DMG/summer/
Another thingy: By doubling the lines of the locomotive in the chief.ini and the other wagons you get longer train columns. Never realized that actually.

Whoops -- you are correct of course. :-[
I have both moving and stationary working ok now.
In technics.ini I also added entries for the winter version -- though it shows only the default loco at present, but it would be relatively easy to add a winter skin for the new loco.
Whilst I was at it I changed the entries for the other rail wagons in technics.ini to add winter folders. This adds a stationary default loco, tender and oil tanker all in winter skins. The others have no winter skins available at present, but they could be added.
Epervier -- I am not familiar with UP2 but I think you may be wrong. The stock game locations for the files are
MeshSummer 3do/Trains/Prvz/summer/hier.him
MeshSummerDamage 3do/Trains/Prvz_Dmg/summer/hier.him
Using the entries you have listed you may not have both moving and stationary versions working.

so that's why...I had an old mod named "MOD TRAIN HD" that I copied in #DBW but never worked, and now that I extracted the Il2 stock trains I see why: in the mod not a single file was in a "summer" or "winter" folder !
I also saw that in stock trains there's only one, the AA armored train (MBV2AA) that has summer folder but not the winter one too.

Many thanks Gumpy! One question: Do we merge these files with the mod for the Russian locomotive? If yes, what about the "winter" folder, it will have to be renamed not to overwrite the Russian one. If a separate install, how should we name this mod? (I have named Greif's mod folder "Parovoz-RU")

Great train movie Greif! Sinatra looks cool as a captured WW2 pilot, all great actors in
that movie. I also bought "Von Ryan's Express" in DVD for my WW2 collection.
Your Train mod is EXCELLENT!
