Title: MotoVeliero(motorized schooner) [4.09] [4.10]
Post by: gio963tto on April 01, 2012, 11:26:54 AM
HI, a little preamble this small ships use a Fishboat Greek slot for this reason I think work in 409  ,but I'm not tested in his, for UP3 user d'ont work in mine computers ,I think some conflict not identificated because d'ont see any barge or fishboat when mission start.

The Motoveliero are a small cargo ships used in merchant coastal traffic in Meditterain sea in first the 20th century half ,in the IIWW are used for every belligerant for coastal and supply convoy in Aegian ,Adriatic Seas and North Africa coast and suffered Higth lost (many submarine have his small ships in their score),

Looks great!)

But If I have not a DBW ... Which lines I should add to a ship.ini, stationary.ini and chief.ini files?)

The lines it's for erase a little error in stationary.ini, because the name in the .ini. are same for all the ships (is called all Fisherman) and made a error in FMB.
You see your's Stationary.ini. if not Have this error not change nothing.

Mmm... I have that lines in my stationary -
Fisherman               ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2
Fisherman1              ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2
Fisherman2              ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2
Well, I unpacked d/loaded archive in "Fisherman 1" folder ( I' ve thought that If it base on Fisherman's basis, files should be  near of original)... Should I rewrite "2" to "1" in the second line of upper-posted lines? And If I want to save stock Fisherman and New Schooner -  as two different ships - what line I need to add?

Sorry for my boring and stupid-looking explanation, but my English is not very well) I try to write shortly)

you adding a 1 afters, in second lines,Fisherman that is all.

EX:erracted
     Fisherman               ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2
     Fisherman1              ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2
     Fisherman2              ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2

correct
     Fisherman               ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2
     Fisherman1              ships.ShipPack$Fisherman1                 2
     Fisherman2              ships.ShipPack$Fisherman                   2

with this write you see the new in Fishboat Greek and the old in Fishboat Duthc and pirate

Thanks for the new ship. Were they used in the Canaries? It works in DBW 1.6.

I think not because are  ships used in Mediterranean ,the Canaries are in Atlantic a hard sea for her , most probably used in Balearic islands.

Trust me. Small and shallow seas are more rough and dangerous for such ships. Mediterranean sea is more hard then Atlantic around Canaries.
Long ocean wave is easy for small ships.

I'v got near 29years of sea experience.
And BTW most of that 3mast schooners are built in Finland and sail in most COLD DOGGY waters near North Norway. :D

The distance between the Canaries and Ifni is fairly short. The port in Ifni is small. There are no dock cranes. The schooner  is significantly smaller than the Apanui, or other coastal steamers. Both types would have to be unloaded by lighters I think. Anyway, it's good to have this ship in DBW 1.6

cheers

So, they might have been used in cross channel trade between Britain and France? Also the North Sea. I suppose it would be plausible for them to be included in a campaign set in the Canaries and Ifni? The port there is very small. In the Canaries, they might be used in the inter island trade?

cheers

Without any limitations. Sail ships are most friendly to rough seas than iron steamers  :)

Sorry for the stupidity, but how to put this in DBW 1916? I've got a 70% CTD in all times i tried.
Thanks.

I do not know your procedure for integration in the game, but if you have not tried this way, check into DBW1916 if there is the ship that will be change with my MOD, you may control in STD if you have the folder 3DO, if not build it, put the folder called ships in the 3DO folder. Add in this folder the ship's folder.

Problem solved, i made a mistake when inserting the fisherman ini entries from DBW in DBW 1916 (1916 does'nt have the ship pack entries of DBW). I copied the three fisherman entries from stationary, chief and technics from one to the another and all work fine now. Thanks.

Gio, scusa il disturbo.
Sarebbe possibile aggiungere le vele anche a questo motoveliero, come hai fatto per la goletta?

Grazie per tutti i magnifici Mods che ci hai regalato.

Gio, sorry for bothering.
It would be possible to add sails to this motoveliero, as you did for the schooner?

Thank you for all the marvelous Mods you gave us.
