Pilot skins mod

This mod replaces the default pilot skins with new, historic uniforms.

Since it replaces stock textures, it will work with all available modpacks. The pilot skins are the work of 'Elephant'
( http://www.lowengrin.com/download.php ), I just added few new faces and put them into the correct folder structure.

I've found one bug: Italy DF maps load.ini has DESERT instead of MTO.
Btw the update also has an updated stock Burma map.

Forgive me, i don´t understand what this mod does:

Does it improve the textures for the maps (and buildings) or is it an enhancement for the SAS skin mod to show the correct skins of the related maps?

The mod upgrades the stock maps + most buildings with new textures, the patch upgrades the mod to be FBDSM compatible. (without the patch and with FBDSM installed you get summer skins on a desert maps for example)

latest features:
- 48 different theatres retextured not including subversions (now readme.txt included with details)
- reworked Balaton map with historic landmarks and Veszprém as grass airfield (long time request)
- Burma retexture
- desert trees by Uufflakke implemented into desert maps
- 2 new high res clouds layers for advanced users*
- ToW buildings now with 3d lighting + other UP3 building texture fixes
- several airfield buildings doors now will have correct proportions


*(hi_Clouds256.tga, hi_CloudsNoise.tga, hi2_Clouds256.tga, hi2_CloudsNoise.tga / adjust in load.ini by adding HighClouds  = hi_Clouds256.tga,  HighCloudsNoise  = hi_CloudsNoise.tga)

There is a little problem with the new palau online load.ini in HSFX 5.1.

Tested. I have solved this using the palau online load.ini from the version before (v.3).

There is a little problem with the new palau online load.ini in HSFX 5.1.
Tested. I have solved this using the palau online load.ini from the version before (v.3).

Whats the error message? It works ok for me with DBW 1.71.

Only in this map, only in the online one (Palau online). I can't load map in FMB either with the new Online_load.ini file. Rest of maps is working perfectly till now. HSFX 5.1 version.

If I use your old (v.3) Online_load.ini file, all is fine.

I've found one minor error but it doesnt seem to bother UP3/DBW, strange

one section was duplicated in the load.ini's:

you can try to remove these lines

btw every time you get an error press shift+tab

I figured it out, HSFX probably doesnt have the Palau textures needed (by redko).
Somebody pls test with UP3 and DBW too, maybe I made a mistake by not including some files.

     Does this mod fix the lod issues present in the TOW objects? I remember this being mentioned in

the past as a reason not to use the TOW objects.

the Landscape "Okinawa/load.ini" loading error solved for me. I'ved renamed in:

"DBW\ _VP_Mapmods_v4_DBW\ maps\ okinawa ...to "-okinawa" and the Okinawa-Map works fine.

Dear Vpmedia, thanks for your effort. Sorry for my low skill, I have installed in my #DBW folder the folder vp_mapmods_buildings_dbw_2012. Is it correct or I have tu put the two folders inside?

I dont get it, there are two folders in the rar file and the install instructions say to extract the file into your #dbw folder. So do as the first post says and extract the rar into your #dbw folder. ;)

Large part of this mod is already included in DBW 1.71 superpack but not the latest version.

Hi vpmedia,

Pardon all the questions.

I have Modact 3.06 and I just wanted to verify that all I have to do is extract the contents of .rar file to my #SAS folder ?

I wasn't sure if I have to do anything else to activate the maps and buildings re texture ?  I will fly mostly stock missions and campaigns so I assume your maps will be used in these cases?

The buildings part is mostly already in UP3/DBW, but few extra bugfixes are included in this pack.
For the eastern front maps DBW includes the aviaskins repaint which is maybe better than my versions of those maps.
But many maps in DBW are still stock so this pack is usefull for DBW users.
As far as I know HSFX6 included these mods.

95% of the building retextures are already in DBW 1.71. I'm not sure about the maps in new TFM, because for example cyberolas repaints are much better then the ones I made so I would not have included all the maps only a few, ask Monty. Originally this pack was made for the AAA UI but I updated it a bit for DBW, nowdays it could do with a new bigger update. It still comes handy when youre running a modact and want all your stock buildings and maps fixed in one turn.

~S~ G'day vpmedia m8 and thanks GREAT work ! I have but one silly simple question in regards to a stock map that I cannot find anymore.
It was ONE island, roughly square, it had hills and valleys with a small lake in the middle. and airfield in the middle and some airfields around and on the four corners all concrete runways. it was very very good for use in DF map hosting but for the life of me I can't find it , now can I remember the name of the dam place, ANY help would be grateful and also where can I get it from ? it seems to have disappeared from the latest game  offerings/updates from team diablos.  ;) . I think maybe 'dig" it out from the game disc ? or has someone done something wonderful to this map and turned it into something else ? the closest I have found in map worx is "crazy place" Gf map but it is far too spikey and as noted it does remind me of CFS 2 and 1 .. ahhh memories....... where we did ILS approaches through dangerous narrows and evil scenery with deadly fog.....hope you can help.
