Title: Desperate Days - Polish 1939 Campaign
Post by: SAS~Poltava on July 20, 2011, 11:48:12 PM
As we now, thanks to Uzin, have a map over parts of Poland I have built a campaign for it. It is called "Desperate Days":

This is a 10-mission static campaign that portrays the aerial fighting in the so called “Polish Corridor” during the initial phase of the German Invasion in September 1939. You are Polish fighter pilot, flying the PZL P.11c (although two missions will be flown in the Lublin R-XIII recce biplane).

You can download it here: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads3&file=details&id=907

The campaign has built with and for Dark Blue World. And it contains no skins, uses only the default ones  ;) More details here: https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,17371.0.html

Thank you, Poltava. This is a much needed campaign, for my interests, at least; and for all of us in the community.

Hello, Poltava! I'm reading a book about the war in the Mediterranean Sea. How about a Fulmar and/or Swordfish campaign?

Hi Poltava, I wanted to say this campaign is great - I waited for September '39 campaign for a long time - I found one mistake however - you selected 111.Eskadra mysliwska as players squadron; however it simply can't be 111th bc 111 and 112 Squadrons stationed in Zielonka near Warsaw - I know cause I live there. I don't know which squadron stationed in Starogard Gdanski though - I'm gonna search for it.

OK, I checked and there was no fighters in this part of Poland during September 1939 at all. There were actualy only 5 Squadrons with 54 fighters and 3 RWD-8's in them. 111 and 112 were based in Zielonka for Warsaw defence and the other 3 (113, 114, 123) were based in southern part of Poland. So, this campaign is semi-historical anyway, just change to other squadron than those 5.

I also found some glitch: taking off from Starogard Gdanski is impossible bc plane jumps all the time. This airfield is simply bugged, so you should place test runway 5 here or change airfield.

Also did you use mission triggers in this campaign? (if it is only available with MDS 1.2, then simply call me noob cause I am then)
