Hello guys,
I just installed the vp Modpack. I had a fresh install, then patched with the mega patch to 4.12.2. I tried it and worked fine. I installed the vp modpack just like Steven did in his video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LqxfNkhSSf0) At the first start it worked, I just had the issue that I couldn't access the quick mission builder. I saw the fix by someone in the comment section below Stevens video, and i renamed the folder "Quick" to "QuickQMBPro". At the next start, it crashed at 70%. After that I named the folder back to Quick but it still crashes at 70%. I did the installation just as Steven did in his video... Any solution to this? Thanks

I modified the conf.ini file the way it is described in the post, but after the crash I don't get a log.lst file. I checked the main folder and used the search function but no success. What am I doing wrong?

Your posts look like you (and your IL-2 1946 game) might face Windows' User Account Control (UAC) function that ini or some other files are made redirected to your user profile folder from the installed folder.

Where exactly do I have to look? Under my user folder is no log file...

If your IL2 game is in the program files folder, move it out of there as windows tend to block your intentions. UAC effectively hinders you from taking command of your game. Anyplce outside o the program files folder is good. And check properties for the conf.ini file is not set to read only!

The game should be located in C in my case (I'm not at the computer rn) and I will check the conf.ini asap. Thanks!
EDIT: It's in Programs (x86). Should I move it or is it okay the way it is?

Sorry for beeing late but yes you should. Anywhere outside of the programs folder, preferebly on another hdd. As I said before the UAC screws things up inside that folder!

Some ini files or other required setup files retouch after the install period might be redirected to user's Virtual Store folder area , not existing in the installed folder.
Only moving the folder from c:\Program Files (x86)\ to another place ..... those retouch ini / setup files will become missing.
Search the files in Virtual Store folder and recover into the new moved folder ....
.... or ....
.... once give-up moving , make a new game install onto outside of c:\Program Files (x86)\ from the first.

The vpmodpack install process looks like this (must have 4.12 as a starting point):
1. install base pack/16 files
2. delete a folder / #SAS\00_Ju-188A-2_v1.1
3. install patch/1 file
4. edit conf.ini / new entries in the first post of release thread
5. start game with il2selector.exe
-its important when extracting 7z's to not create a new subfolder
-QMB requires the patch
