T-6 Texan Redux

       Revisions made in this package include new class files which should allow this to work in all
       game versions from 4.09 to 4.13
       The landing gear now has the proper stance and the windscreen also has the more era               
       appropiate frames added.
       The nose over issue on start up has been dealt with as well.
       I've also added the new skins folder with all skins transfered into it.
 
Update 2

Thanks again to CWatson the Texan now has some teeth.

Included in this update are a .30 cal cowl mounted MG , 2 x 100 lb and 2 x 250 lb bomb loadouts. Also included is a new engine sound more suited to the R1340 as well as a new batch of skins in both 1024 and 2048 format.

To use this simply swap this version with the previous Texan version.

Optional Fix

Optional propellor blur fix for the windmilling like blur as noted by Cwatson in some earlier versions of game. Thanks again CW ;)

To use simply extract these files to your \North American Texan\3DO\Plane\Texan-AT6 folder. Be sure to back up your original files first if you choose to reuse them.


Update 3 New Update Thanks again to CWatson the Texan now has a couple of additional loadouts in the way of two pods with two .30 mg's with 275 rds each and two pods with one .50 mg with 500 rds for each. There has also been an WWII era antenna mast installed.

I'm using BAT 12 and it works for me but before I loaded it I put the patch in. In BAT I always rename any folder with a ! then press the space bar a few times to make sure the folder loads above the BAT classes and other BAT folders.

 Gotta like a tour in a Harvard. I was about the same age when I got to go up in one out of the Oshawa Airport. Same thing a friend of my Dad's owned it and all he charged me for the flight was to help him clean it one weekend . Seemed like a good deal to me. ;)

Hi, I'm afarid I have another problem with this beautiful Texan; On starting the engine the plane throws its tail unrealistic high up in the air:

and on dropping back crushes the tailwheel. This happens twice and after that the aft part of the fuselage buries itself in the concrete.

They are definitely 100lb bombs in the classfile, so if you are seeing white 250lb bombs I suspect something is amiss in your mods folder. You added the bomb fix I posted, is it loading first?

No, everything should be included in download. Are you not getting the loadout option? If not what is the last loadout shown in your drop down menu?

 Are you getting the load out option and they are not appearing?

Launch a mission with the gun pod loadout, then hit shift + tab and report errors that are on screen.
