it's more then Fantastic!

Only thing I miss some plane ru entries for the B series and the late thunderbolt,

I had the previous B series P-47 and they had plane ru entries but these new ones can't recognise that entries.

Because they are different.

The new ones are, for example :

P-47B-1              P-47B-1, 1941

when the other one was :

P-47-B1              P-47B-1, 1941 or something similar. Which means that you must correct them, and also correct the skin folder.

Epic pack and SOOO easy to add and use! Thank you! I recently added, plane by plane, and mod by mod, every P-51 available to my 4.12.2 game, and was about to do the same for the P-47s when this appeared! Saved me tons of searching and install time!

Downed one Focke Wulf and at least one Messerschmitt so far... aside from baking some tanks and trucks on the road!

Thank you very much for an excellent mod.

Added some in the pack to HSFX 7.0.2 and working so far.

Appreciate the many nice touches besides the vastly expanded loadout options.  For example,

1) 8 x 0.5 cal in the same trigger
2) Yaw instability with some of the "bubble top" versions - makes for a very interesting trade-off between visibility and gunnery stability until we get to the D-40 version here.

Looking forward to testing the new flight model.

Thank you again.

Cheers,

what is the file 3612DEC83D0C57C2 in folder ! SAS Common Utils? What does it do?
This is a class which is (currently) mainly responsible for backward compatibility with different base game versions. It's a helper class which provides easy-to-use functions for checking the current base game version at runtime, thereby giving a modder the possibility to use different code depending on the patch level the mod is running on.

Hi, i am a novice so sorry don't know how to get log.lst? It's the P-47M that doesn't seem to function from accessing from the qmb menu to the showroom which you can't access, you have to get another aircraft to get to the showroom, and when trying to fly the p-47m it looks for it's FM. Sorry for all the hassle, and thank you very much for replying.

try placing a   #   in front of your Jugs_Reloaded Folder, like this:  #Jugs_Reloaded

Super pack Mike, a big thanks for all involved! One thing; I miss the great cockpit start-up effect from the original D-30 and D-40 mod by Kumpel. Any change we see this in a next update?
O, I have found a Blister1_D0.msh file from P47's from 1st Air Commando Group 5th squadron Burma by 200th_Sakagawa, which places the Air Commando stripes in the right place. I've added this to the D-22 files, works ok for the stripes and seems to do no harm.

4.09

Sorry, I had not had time to test it before...
No cockpit view (blue screen) for P-35.
There was an error in the code call the cockpit of the P-35.
But it seems that no Rebels have noticed. I guess it's because they have the converted 412 version of the Hawk.

The code calls the "Hawk-75A3" cockpit folder instead of cockpit folder "P-35" included in the archive.

Looking for some assistance. Over the many years on this site I have usually found solutions to my installations problems reading other member queries and member replies - and I thank all the members for that. Either I'm getting too old or too tired but I am stumped on this installation. Running 4.10 with DBW 1.71. Installed both Jugs files in DBW with #Jugs Reloaded to deal with canopy graphic problem.  Updated all .ini's per the read me. Removed any mods with a P-47 or Thunderbolt designation. No jsgme installs of 6DoF.  In either QMB or Campaign when I select any one of the p-47 mods the menu shows correct skins, weapons load-outs etc and when I hit Fly everything runs fine -  - until reaching 100% then it freezes. I hit cancel and I am dropped out of the program and presented with the following Windows message " IL-2 6DoF/TIR Enabled Executable for modded IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 has stopped working" I do not have nor have I ever run 6DoF/TIR. This error only affects the P-47 Jugs Reloaded aircraft.
Below is the end of my log.lst (my apologies  - looking for a better way to post the whole  log.lst - thought this selection might be hiding an answer) . Any suggestions greatly appreciated.  Thanks

I cant. I have looked through and downloaded your instant logfile output mod, but this is all it shows from my most recent ctd

Code: [Select]

this is everything in my logfile

It seems to be eventlog.lst, not log.lst... Find in your conf.ini line LOGFILE= Its value is the name of your log.lst, for example I named it !log.lst to be more easy to find.

Hello!

can confirm the problem with the M17, DBW 1.71 with newTFM; game crashes when dropping the M17....
Mike, which classfile is responsible for the loadout of the M-model Jug? I want to replace the M from this pack with the one I had originally, as her loadout is
closer to the real stuff that was used in the last few months of the war, when the Wolfpack struggled with their M Jugs and their engines...
I just need to know which classfile needs to be remmed out to avoid the duplicate loadout for alex´s original M Jug...

thanks in advance

Indeed, I confirm that, when I tried to drop the M17 I suddendly have a frozen screen.

Apart from this, there is another bug I am afraid  :(

I hate when I have to comment on bugs, our big brother did a splendid job, only working on these endless loadout is an enormou job. A generally incredible work, like Claymore's.

All is fine, except Flaps sound missing in clean DBW 1.71/UP3 RC4 with or without UV3/Jivers67.
Logfile isn't showing a thing related. All other Sounds are fine and working.

just clarify for me, please, Mike -
got these working perfectly in Modact 5, super sweet.
i'm just a tiny bit confused with the instructions for an earlier (4.11) DBW version - is it as simple as adding the extra 'Jugs_Reloaded_addons_for_411_and_earlier' folder alongside the main 'Jugs_Reloaded' folder - so, both folders co-existing separately, or can i safely merge these two folders into one inside my DBW install?
i'm pretty sure i know the answer, just feeling a bit thick-headed today, lol :D

edit; never mind, mates, i figured it out after a few more sips of coffee. couldn't be simpler, really, lol :D
now to work on some cool screenies!

no issues with my Modact 5.3 install of these, but i was wanting to do some screenshots using my DBW/New_TFM (not 412 version) install, which has all the nice eye-candy as far as background objects, maps, etc, and suffered a massive slow-down of fps, which persisted, and ended up with a 6+MB error log, using 3 x P-47B-DT's on El Alamein map, QMB Armor mission
literally unplayable, 0-1 fps average.
i'm trying to sift through the massive error log to provide the most relevant info, will do so later today.

The second prop is missing. Why? Some incompatible mod. For instance this one: "FLAME2_SCHEME1" - never heard of that and it obviously interfers deeply within the game's base classes.
Sounds like an exhaust flame mod or something like that and it seems to be buggy here.

No flap, gear and other additional sounds for me (only the stock sounds for guns, canopy and airbrake works)
Fortunately I've fixed the engine sound by renaming the .prs files.

I'm on DBW 1.7.1 plus Jiver's sound mod and buttons 10.3

Dear all,

Finally version 1.00 of the Jugs Reloaded Pack has been released in the first post of this thread.
It fixes the M17 bomb bug for e.g. DBW players and missing sounds.
Please note that this pack now requires you to have the "SAS Common Utils" installed, link is given in the first post of this thread.

Hi StoreBror, Soberb work Sir! Just a litle detail, one of great qualities of P-47 was his stability when open fire, and now i notice have a big shake left/right, is this from 4.12.2 patch, or is this a MOD change? Thank you!

That's intentionally implemented for the early bubble-top Jugs (-27, -30) which suffered a lot from yaw instability (causing a kind of "sway" during cruise flight) which got extremely worse when the guns were fired. The pilots claimed much about this annoying behaviour and eventually got their issues solved with the introduction of the dorsal fin extension on the -40 series (later retrofitted in field to earlier Jugs too).

Dear Mike,
Firstly let me to thank You for this excellent mod. Yr Jugs are superb.
Concerning P-47D-27/-30 behaviour let me ask You with all respects if there is possibility to reduce their instability when the guns are fired. Allied forces used thousands and thousands bubble-top P-47D-27/-30 for the moment when P-47D-40 was produced. They fought with success but it could be impossible without effective weapons.
P-47D-27/-30 of this excellent mod are too instable , it is practically impossible to hit targets.

Stefan, although i agree that it makes shooting really tricky, i feel i have to relate what i experienced with this see-saw effect while sneaking up on the six of a formation of bombers.
when firing at the coright distance - i believe it was about 250-300m away, the effect, while quite horribly swinging from left to right, also somehow seems to maintain a level firing platform - in other words, i simply let the see-saw effect run its course, didn't try to fight it in any way, and due too the relatively stable platform, i had somehow managed to hit all 4 bombers extensively, 3 going down without further assistance from me, and the fourth just needed a few more rounds to convince them to bail, as well.
so, actually, in this particular circumstance, the effect was quite productive :D

Dear Malone,
Thank You for Yr kind info. The problem was that P-47D fought mainly against Axis fighters in 1944-1945. To shoot down Bf-109 or Fw-190 using P-47D-27/-30 of this superb mod is really extremaly thing.

Great work.  I love this mod.  I notice on my 4.09 install that I'm hearing an occasional ringing sound (exactly like an old fashioned telephone) during dogfight maneuvering.  Is that a bug or a feature?  If a feature, is it some kind of alarm, like a stall warning?

Which block are you flying?  Some of the later P-47 models had a rear facing tail radar that warned when a plane is on your six.

i just took the C-5 up against some Japanese Val's, and just about the time i get into range on their six, this little ringing alarm sound starts going off.
it's definitely nothing to do with planes on my six - the only planes around are those in front of me.
anyway, whatever this feature is, i like it, it's uber-cool :D

Yep i can concur, the ringing happens for me in the D-27!
At first I thought it was a overheating thing XD so I quickly scoured the cockpit gauges to see if anything was overheating  :P

Yupp, I had a glitch in my first download, sth. was wobbering. A recent new turn was better,
actually I have all the sounds back in my DBW. The remodelled FMs and engine delays are cool,
everything fits. A fine job you did, actually I'm enjoying flying the Jugs again. Thanks Buddy

Hi and hello to all, just realized it's my 1st ever post here in some 5 years of being around :)

First off I'd like to say I really enjoy this mod, in particular the efforts at historical accuracy. I also like the whole concept of such a team goal and appreciate the amount of effort and co-ordination it requires to realize. Thanks for all of this.

Secondly I want to offer a minor bug report;

While testing the many various load outs I noticed that it's not possible to fire pairs of rockets/bombs (default setting) when switching between "salvo";"single" & "default" (pairs).

I'm running 4.12 and this may well just be related to that version. I also did a comparison test with the stock aircraft (not P-47's) and this feature works as it should. -I may be wrong-

Thirdly after reading the following quotes, it occurred to me that this may well be incorrect or at least an over generalization. So i did some quick reading...

Allied forces used thousands and thousands bubble-top P-47D-27/-30

P-47D fought mainly against Axis fighters in 1944-1945

... and found this little gem from Jerry Scutts on page 70 of his book - Ospsprey Aircraft of the Aces 24 - P-47 Thunderbolt Aces of the Eigth Air Force
"Relatively few VIII FC pilots were able to score victories - or indeed have a chance to fly - the later P-47D's fited with the clear view canopy. This was because most had reached the end of their tours and received transfers back to the USA before their respective units received the aircraft, or the group had traded in it's Thunderbolts for Mustangs. "Razorback" models also soldiered on to the end of 1944, and it was more usual for groups to go from the early P-47 models to the P-51 without ever receiving "bubbletops"."

P-47's were well known to go over to a ground pounding role as the Mustangs came on strength and the large majority of P-47 fighter on fighter experience was gained with the "Razorback" type in 1943-44.

That's not to say that lateral stability when strafing ground targets is not desirable, which takes me to my last point.

Lastly - a suggestion. I don't know if this is even possible, but it would be a nice feature to have a "field mod" in the load out menu for the early bubble tops to add that retro fitted fin?

Thanks again.

Hi Mike! Mod you've made is cool! :) But I would like to ask what is the file 3612DEC83D0C57C2 in folder ! SAS Common Utils? What does it do? Thanks :)

I have the stock SAS 4.12.2 modact install. Very happy with it because it works :)

I really want the Jugs reloaded pack in my install so where do I need to put the SAS Utilities folder (#SAS folder I presume or jsgme and activate it?).

Cheers, MP

Hi guys I'm new to mods and would really love to get the jugs installed. I'm running a 4.12 HSFX 7.0.3 install. In the readme one of the first steps is to drop the jugs contents into your SAS folder? I do not have a SAS folder in my main game directory, am I missing something here. Any help would be appreciated!

Hi I have something odd with the p-47 not sure if its a graphic problem on my end. At certain distances other ai p-47 from this awesome pack have transparent wings. Once they get close enough the textures suddenly render. I'm using a gtx 570 ti with pretty standard nvidia cintrol panel settings and it happens with no other aircraft.

The only clue is that this log entry is not related to the CTD.
You'll likely need some kind of "instant log" mod for 4.09 to get the full log output, no clue whether such kind of mod exists.

....anyway not a great deal , in the other game versions this mod should work flawless and in 409 I have anyway all the jugs I need...even if splitted in some more mods and with less loadout options....but as they are foe....not a great deal see few claws against me!

Hello, I want to thank you for these great birds, but I have some (for me) serious issues. I'm running 4.10 with DBW 1.7, TFM up to pack 13 and lots of additional downloaded content. Well the planes appear to run fine, no graphical problems and they are looking great as well as the cockpits. But all planes of this pack fly like La's to me. Performance wise they appear correct, but I'm totally unable to stall them in any way by turning them. My La's fly the same (I guess intentional for them), but shouldn't the jugs behave different, or is this part of the new FM? Formerly such problems ocurred to me with FMs for different game versions, like 4.12 or something. So just wanted to know if this is indeed intentional or merely a conflicting mods problem? Does anyone experienced something similar before?
And excuse my english, not a native speaker.

Thank you very much (also participated in any other).

Our first thread in the first publically "write accessible" board (The Lounge) already tells it:
Chrome issues (https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,49152.0.html).

This has nothing to do with the Jugs Reloaded mod, it has nothing to do with SAS and we can do nothing about it.

Just wanted to say thanks! These are absolutely beautiful airplanes. Justice has finally been done to my favorite airplane. The whine of the turbo-supercharger, the overspeed light works correctly, the cockpits are beautiful, and the loadouts allow you to annihilate anything in your path. Phenomenal!

Using a relatively basic empty mod folder, these appear to work in 4.13.1. Just thought I'd let you all know.

One thing, When flying my favorite, the D-22, I noticed that I got the tail warning siren sound as in later models. If memory serves this was a known issue before so I guess all is as it should be.  ;D

Hi, I am new here. Love this mod but I can't use D-27/D-30 to strafe ground targets well because the yaw instability. I tried to find some information about it on internet, unfortunately most of them just say it's instable. Only one site described in more detail...

The loss of side area due to the cutting down of the fuselage (to accommodate the bubble canopy), reduced the linear stability of the bubble topped Jugs. This could lead to a loss of control if rudder deflection was too great at low speeds. The fillet partially corrected this rudder force over-balance condition. It would not be fully eliminated until the final production model of the Thunderbolt.

Perhaps we can have D-27/D-30 be stable at high speed in future update. :)

considering this was deliberately done in order to reflect historical accuracy, i very much doubt there'll be any such update.

I guess the misunderstanding here is that the line
The loss of side area (...) reduced the linear stability of the bubble topped Jugs. This could lead to a loss of control if rudder deflection was too great at low speeds.
has just been scanned quickly and the limitation "at low speeds" has been mistaken as an indicator that everything was fine at high speed.
It wasn't.
And the reason for the yaw oscillation the "loss of side area", it was caused by turbulent airflow behind the bubble top canopy hitting the vertical stabilizer behind.

An early (read: not equipped with fillet, anything before -40 and not field modified) Jug with bubble top canopy would always yaw-oscillate plus when you give too much rudder at low speed, you might lose control completely.

Only the latter (loss of control) is a direct result of reduced side area, the former (yaw oscillation) is a result of turbulent airflow behind the bubble top canopy.

And then again, only the latter (yaw oscillation) has been modelled in the jugs pack so far, which means that if asking for historical accuracy, the next required change would be to add the loss of control in low speed / high rudder deflection scenarios.

I had a similar issue with the N in CUP, the little buzzer warning. All I did was recycle my flaps down to combat and then back up and it quit.

My question is about skins for the N, does anyone know if there are any specifically for that A/C and it's long, abrupt dorsal fin?

Understood. Nevertheless, so far I didn't find any complain about gun handling on early bubbletop but rudder control problem at low speed. There's one more example:

Besides, it was not fully cured until N model according to the site I quoted earlier. Maybe D-40&M also need some adjustments.

Just a minor note, and sorry for my mood:
As I slowly repair my self fucked up 4.12 ModAct 5.3, I come to worship every modpack with a readme inside the Mods folder relevant folder.
Ideally, IMHO; a readme should be on page 1, post one, and inside each install folder for the MODS/SAS etc folders.

Well, frankly, ca. 10% of all modders do it that way, the F-80s e.g. in the latest variation feature a now redundant air.ini set in the mod relevant folder compared to the release post.

I am happy to report that Jug Pack works OK with 4.13RC4 + ModAct 6.01 except one little anoying bug. Default decals numbers on P-47D-10 and P-47D-22 appear incorrectly cut on the plane. I know that in IL2 decal pacement is hardcoded on the models and that bug is probably due to cockpits mod used in the pack but maby there is some way to fix that?

Regards.

From the readme (it's called that for a reason ;) ):
Code: [Select]
!!! Important Prerequisite !!! : You HAVE TO HAVE the SAS Common Utils installed to use the "Jugs Reloaded"
Mod Pack. You can always get the latest version of the SAS Common Utils
                                      for download here:
                                      https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php?topic=40490.0
Installing the SAS Common Utils is as easy as dropping a few files
                                      into your mods folder.

ATTENTION: You need some kind of "DiffFM" mod installed in your game.
Modact 5 and DBW ship with DiffFM included by default, others need to make sure to have it installed,
otherwise your game will crash at 60%.

Some links for DiffFM mods (not comprehensive):

Hello Gents,

could you help me please on how to import the new 3D models of the P47D30-P47M in this pack to the latest HSFX without the flightmodels and the additional features, just the updated 3D model (with the tail fins) to override somehow the stock 3D model of the P-47D (Late)?
Or do you know any trick how I could circumvent this issue?

All help would be appreciated!

Take care,
Ed

This particular "issue" is the second point mentioned there, it's more or less at the beginning of the readme and slams right in your face when you open it.

Probably I wasn't clear regarding my question:

- since P-47D (Late) in HSFX represents the P-47M flightmodel-wise is there a way to use the P-47M 3D model (from this mod pack) for the P-47D (Late) and overwrite the stock P-47D (Late) exterior 3D model with this new "fishtailed" variant?

Sorry if it's a noob question, but I am not an expert in modding.

There is only one way to find out. Doing the testing yourself.
Make a copy of the folders of the airplane which you wish to make changes on (for safe keeping and to return back if
something goes wrong  ;) )
then
copy the things you want to change and place them into the other folder.
Do a little tweaking in the files and test it in your game.
There is only one way to find out if certain things work or not and that
is to test them personally.
I am not a great modder either and I was able to change the old antenna wires for new and thinner types for
all P-47 models. Much better looking.
There was also a little problem with 3 versions having the cockpit canopy flipped forward and up
in some models, so I copied what was on other model-versions of the same airplane type and introduced those better
changes to the problems which were on my troubled airplane.... It worked perfectly - Now I have perfect looking
cockpit canopies on those models.  ;) It was very easy to do.

It is all a matter fo testing things out yourself, because everyone's modded game is slightly different than
what other people are using.
So, what may work for me, may not work out for you.
Understand?
Give it a try and you will see that you can do it yourself. - Take a chance and start modding.

Max, thank you for you tips, I did try out several file (and folder) swaps/overwrites, however I was unable to find the correct match.

If I exchanged and overwrote the Jugs_Reloaded\3do\Plane\P-47D(Multi1) and \P-47D(USA) folder contents with the matching P-47M(Multi1) and P-47M(USA) contents the 3D model of the P-47D remained the same, and the canopy was opening upwards.  ;D

If I removed anything else and only the 3do root directory remained from the modpack, and did the above mentioned folder exchange I was unable to see the plane in QMB and it was invisible if I started a QMB flight.

since P-47D (Late) in HSFX represents the P-47M flightmodel-wise
If that's true (can't judge myself, haven't played HSFX for several years now) then it's a questionable choice to say the least.
A late war P-47D differs fundamentally from a P-47M.

It is ture.
Copy-pasted from the FM documentation V7.0 Aachen.doc from the HSFX V7 Tools & Read me's folder.

P-47 - Engine
A/C Name           Engine Name                           BasePower [PS]   BoostPower [PS]   BaseMP [ATA]   BoostMP [ATA]   BaseRPM   BoostRPM   MaxOilTemp    MaxWaterTemp
P-47D-10           R-2800DoubleWasp                   2000                   2310                   1,70                   1,75                   2700           2700           120            210
P-47D-22           R-2800DoubleWasp                   2000                   2310                   1,70                   1,75                   2700           2700           120            210
P-47D-27           R-2800-59_THRU-40                   2000                   2596                   1,70                   2,1                   2700           2700           120            210
P-47D-27 Late   R-2800-59_THRU-40_overboost   2000                   2800                   1,70                   2,34                   2700           2700           120            210
Note: Base power corresponds to Combat setting and Boost power corresponds to maximum emergency setting. In the models presented in this work, the P-47D-27 Late has been modelled to reproduce the performances of P47M.

The above questioned choice was probably based on online multiplayer balancing reasons, but I am just guessing.
I agree, late war P-47D differs from the P-47M in more respects like airframe, engine, etc, this is why I was striving for a 3D model swap to compensate this, at least.

SAS~Storebror, appreciate all your hard work on these a/c. I love the P-47. I'm having a few screwy things with the canopies. i.e.
All USA "razor backs" canopies don't slide back, they drop inside. This only happens with the USA version, all other nations, ok.
P-47 1944 & P-47D-27 canopies don't slide, they levitate above the a/c. This is true of all nations. Has anyone else experienced this problem?
I'm sure there is a fix somewhere. Any help greatly appreciated.

I experienced the same canopy issues (levitating canopy above the a/c if opened), after experimenting with the removal of each installed mods and I came to the conclusion that "HSFX 7_fix Cowling Engines & prop_v.18" caused the issue, because after I removed that mod, all P-47 canopies were sliding back and forth normally.

However I still don't know the exact reason/conflict behind this bug, if someone else could shed some light on it, I would greatly appreciate it. :)

Np Duffy!  ;)

Since my request was locked, I will go ahead and ask it here:

Would somebody be so kind to create a version of this great modpack which only uses the P-47M aircraft model included as a replacer for the P-47D (Late) in HSFX (no FM, or additional weapons, features, etc.)?

I can't figure out what other files are needed to make this really work (aside from the content of the 3do folder) without ruining something in IL-2, either the QMB shows a blank plane, or the aircraft model remained the same.  :(

So do I just drop the 'Jugs Reloaded' extracted files into this location?

C:\ IL-2 1946_SAS_4.12.2 \ #SAS

and then extract SAS_Common_Utils_109.jar into the same location or into the Jugs Reloaded folder? Because when drop in the #SAS folder, the game starts up and then crashes right back to desktop. I am using SAS MODACT 5.0.

It also does the same thing if I drop it only in the Jugs reloaded folder and if I drop it in both locations.

Yes I have edited the air.ini file to what the readme says.

Thanks!

Our deciphering department already left for the weekend.
You said "DBW 1.71" before.
Now you only say "patch 4.11/1".
Let me repeat: There is no DBW for 4.11.
And let me add: There is no patch "4.11/1".

Now... if you tried the Jugs Reloaded Pack on DBW 1.71 and on a separate game installation running Modact 4, and both are not working... then let me ask you two things:

Awesome stuff! I love it, but unfortunately I found some problem too. Please correct me if I am wrong, but the Manifold Pressure Gauge in the cockpit seems to work wrong... The needle doesn't drop below 30 at all.... Strange, very strange, especially when to compare it with the same gauge in the cockpit of Corsair or Hellcat (planes with the same engine). Ok, I will have to check it in my P-47 manual (Pilot notes). More details soon...

First of all, I am sorry because it took more time than I expected. Ok, so let's start

1. Historical data:

(https://s26.postimg.cc/7148liaeh/47_SEFC.gif) (https://postimages.org/)

2. My test (conditions: alt 1000m, prop 2500 RPM)

a) P-47D-40
Power (throttle) setting | Boost in Poncho's cockpit | Boost in Oleg's cockpit
              IDLE             |          29                       |        18
               30%            |          32                       |        21
               50%            |          36                       |        25
               70%            |          42                       |        32-33
               90%            |          50                       |        40
              FULL             |          60                       |        51

b) P-47D-10
Power (throttle) setting | Boost in Poncho's cockpit | Boost in Oleg's cockpit
              IDLE             |          29                       |        20
               30%            |          32                       |        25
               50%            |          36                       |        30
               70%            |          44                       |        35
               90%            |          50                       |        40
              FULL             |          52                       |        45

3. Summary: unfortunatelly everthing shows that the Manifold Pressure Gauge in Poncho's Cockpit works wrong :(  It is badly overmodeled and it doesn't reflect the real thing. That gauge in Oleg's cockpit (the ugly one) works much better, espacially at low throttle settings, but it still needs some correction at full throttle setting (in both D-40 and D-10). If you are still not convinced, just watch this movie taken from the cockpit of the real T-bolt and observe it on your own. The Mainifold Pressure Gauge is well visable and it is readable during different parts of a flight (take-off, climb, cruise, landing) or taxiing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ppqOMtQtqno

I hope that somebody will do some fix for Poncho's beautiful cockpit.... I suppose none of us would like to come back to fly in Oleg's ugly one.
IMHO, the quickest solution of the problem (but not the best one) would be allowing the guage to work like in the old cockpit.

Cannot load sound preset custom_motor.PrattWhitney_R-2800_Series.start.begin (java.lang.Exception: Invalid preset format)
Apparently an installation issue.
Both the preset mentioned here and the regarding sound files are part of the P-47 pack, so if it was installed correctly, such error would not exist.

Doesn't matter whether it's VP or anything else.
The file is definitely part of this pack and your game complains that it's missing, so you didn't install the Jugs pack right, simple as that.

Thank you for this great mod.
After weeks of updating my modpacks, I 'm happy to thank for these.
It works in HSFX 7.03.

Just wondering if mikojan3 ever got his N-15 issue resolved? I have the exact same thing and I've reinstalled the package three times correctly and still cannot get the N-15 to work.

 Log:

Sound issue ok now, but still can't get the N-15 to fly?  Log says this getting this:

FM called 'FlightModels/P-47N-15.fmd:P47Pack_FM' is being loaded from File: 'p47pack_fm'
FM called 'FlightModels/PW_R-2800_Series:P47Pack_FM.emd' is being loaded from File: 'p47pack_fm'
FM called 'FlightModels/P-47N-15.fmd:P47Pack_FM' is being loaded from File: 'p47pack_fm'
Mission error, ID_04: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException

Anyone else advise me on this? What does "mission failed, null" mean.

Hi, I'm new in the modding community, will this mod work for modact 6.4 and 4.13.4m?

Yes it will, but this pack has been superseded to some extent by Poncho's version 2.0 offered here:

I just downloaded this pack and I did as instructed in the readme, but my game is now just showing a black screen every time I launch it. I have SAS modact 5.3 for IL-2 1946 v4.12.2m and I downloaded the pack for 4.12. Any help?

Logfile would help but honestly, this pack has been working for 9 years now, so there must have been something in the instructions that you've missed.

I got it working, after sometime I read that I needed the SAS common utils which I had but I didn't insert it in the game folder
