the Lokheed Vega and Air-Exspress

the Lokheed Vega was a great protagonist of the "Golden Age", also used as aircraft record for long flights, was born from the pens of two great designers Vougth and Northrop  that in the resurrected company Lokheed (formerly Loughead), beginning a long line of lucky single-engine commercial, the series in the years of production will surpass 130 specimens from 5/7 persons, capable of 260 kmh cruising speed and maximum speed of almost 300KmH was among the most rapid of the category.
The Air-Express was a version dedicated to transport mail in addition to passengers, produced by Next year at the exit of the Vega according to different sources was produced in 7 or 27 pieces.

really a beauty!!  I've installed these birds on dbw 1.71 (4.10.1 patch) but cockpit view doesn't work properly. It seems I'm missing some mod. Can anyone help? thanks in advance

 I've downloaded and installed several times and the same thing happens with cockpit view

I don't know the reason why... probably incompatible with some mod I'm using... but I have more than 100 enabled mods !! (some of them: true color texture mod for dbw, high res texture mod, 6DOF XY MOUSE by Pal, 24 bit skins)

I'm not sure but probably the problem is an incompatibility with "6DOF XY MOUSE by Pal", because the image seems to have a broader vision, which clears or overlaps with that of the model of the aircraft cockpit (to specify, in the 3D cockpit is fitted with parts of the plane is not a good cockpit but it is the best that I can do in the field)

Hello Kant, thank you very much for the floatplane she is a beauty. 8)

Only able to test with AI at the moment and I have to report she will not lift off the water, remains at a constant 50 km/h and just continues along the water. :'(

I have the aircraft in three installs and there does not appear any problems there, ie no CTD or glitches I have noticed other than the no go AI take off. ;)

Anyone out there tried a manual take off, curious to know how easy/hard she is to get airborne?

Great little plane!!!!!.Manual take-off works as long as you push the stick forward at 50k to get it up on the step than pull back and lift off is around 110k or so.

A begginer, I would not have thought so. 8)  Apparently floatplanes are a really difficult thing to take on so every credit to you for having a go, she is still a beauty. ;)

In the real world you just do not climb into a combat aircraft, you train first, aircraft like this can be used in campaigns to replicate your progress from novice to ace. ;)

They are also good eye candy in missions as they can help to give a feeling for the world around you at a particular time and place.

And the most important reason of all is they are just fun to fly, who wants to shoot at things all the time.
