Our Squad is small but our ranks are growing quickly. We have a skilled and tightly knit group of pilots from around the world (mainly North America) and also welcome and train those who are newer to flying. We at the EoW have a laid back approach to flying. We are serious when it comes to combat flying, but we do a lot of non-combat flying such as carriers ops, formation, as well as airshows.

hi all...

EagleTurk  Il2 Virtual Squadron : www.eagleturk.com (http://www.eagleturk.com)

WarBirds Dogfight Server : www.war-birds.com (http://www.war-birds.com)

Server's description:
Gameplay follows the ideas of the WarBirds FreeHost arena:

1) The main goal is complete capture of enemy's territories;

2) Territory can only be captured through 'closing' and subsequent 'capturing' of an airfield. Currently controlled territories are reflected by the frontline dividing both parties. Capturing of an airfield pushes the frontline towards the enemy.

3) When all airfields are captured and the enemy is left effectively without any ground - the map is considered won by the other side and automatically reset to the original state with each side controlling equal number of airfields.

4) To close an airfield at least 90% of its 'active objects' must be in any way destroyed. Exact list of the objects cannot be seen, however the total number of objects, number of those remaining intact, and number required to close a field can be seen through >field f<xx> console command. When an airfield is CLOSED you will get a message stating which field has been closed. Planes cannot take off from a CLOSED airfield.

3) A destroyed object on a field will be repaired and become active again (re-spawn, 'reup') in 2000 seconds after its destruction. When enough objects has been repaired to get the number of objects intact higher than 10% - the field OPENS back (you will again get a message) and you will be able to take-off from it again.

4) A closed airfield capture is performed by paratroopers dropped from a transport plane (Ju-52, C-47, Li-2). A capture is considered to be successful if at least 12 troopers have safely made it to the ground: at the moment troopers run 10-20 meters after landing and 'hide in the grass' (drop to the ground), only afterwards they are counted as 'landed safely'. Notice that it is not needed that all the troops are droped from one plane - the server keeps the count of the landed troopers, so troopers from another transport(s) can add up the total number to 12. This number is reset to 0 if the field re-OPENS.

5) After an airfield is captured it changes its color, list of available planes (according to its new side) and pushes the frontline towards the enemy. The field, however, will remain CLOSED while its number of active objects is below 10%. Notice that an just captured airfield that is still CLOSED cannot be re-captured back by dropping troopers. To be captured back the field needs to OPEN and be CLOSED again.

6) To increase of air battles intensity radars have been introduced into the game. Radars' range can be seen on the map as colored circles. Each airfield has its own radar. If a radar is destroyed its circle turns white. You will see enemy and friendly planes in air as coloured crosses when those planes are in range (inside the circle) of any friendly radar. If a plane is NOT shown by radars, then this plane is either: outside radars' radius, its altitude is lower than 100 metres or higher than 5000 meters, the plane is obscured from the particular radar's line-of-sight by terrain elevations (hills, mountains etc.) or the radar is destroyed. Radars are ONLY available in briefing, you will not see them in flight.

7) Fleet of flyable planes changes as the game time progresses (Rolling Plane Set) to reflect their historical availability. Current date can be seen using >tod command.

8) The game events is simulated to take place between September 1939 and January 1946. Each month of the battle lasts approximately 3 real-time days.

9) The passage of time in the game is acccelerated 6 times of the original, so the daytime from dawn to dusk lasts approximately 4 hours (depending on the server preferences). There is no night: the sun will instantly 'jump' to sunrise as soon as it sets and the new game-day begins.

10) There are additional commands available to the user:
>field shows the current status of fields
>tod shows the current in-game time and date

Looking for a Squadron that mixes military discipline and just plain comraderie. Then you have come to the right place.

No. 209 Squadron is always looking for pilots who are serious about flying, but not so serious that they are not willing to be part of a group who considers itself a family.

Our squadron is a bi-era squadron that means we fly both WW 1 vintage and WW II vintage aircraft via the virtual world.

We also have many opportunities for those whose strong suit is not air combat or ground attack. If you have a knack for painting, web design, or love the chance to do clerical work such as the handling of medals, working in our extensive library, or writing for our newletter than we have a place for you as well.

Please contact one of our Recruiting Officers

Salute
Lt. Col. Python OBE, DSO, MC, DFC, AFC*, MM*, MSM^^, MID**, CdG

Hi all,

I'm sure most of you have seen us around or have heard of us from Anto, our Gruppe Technischer Offizier and SAS mod guru, but just incase not may I please present to you  our group: II./JG53

II./JG53 is currently recruiting Bf109 and JU88 pilots from around the globe. We are currently operating using IL2 1946 modded to the latest Ultrapack 3 release candidate. Our most recent recruitment drive has picked up 5 new pilots, each of them is settling in well and starting to notch up their scores against the Republican enemy.

We are a group that has been around flying actively since 2006 so we are no fly by night squadron, if you'll pardon the pun, and have a dedicated membership currently numbering around 40 active pilots all of various experience and knowledge, all of us share the comraderie of flying together and enjoying this simulation as a team.

We are looking for pilots from all over the globe as we have staffels to match the vast majority of time zones:

Weisse Staffel is the European staffel flying at 20:00 (London) time on both Tuesdays and Sundays.

Rote Staffel is the USA and CAN staffel flying at 20:00 (US EST) time on both Tuesdays and Sundays.

Gelbe Staffel is the Australian and New Zealand staffel flying at 20:00 (WAST) on Wednesdays and Sundays.

Our Kampf (Bomber) Staffel operates across all three time zones and is a recent addition to our group. It operates in the same missions as our main fighter staffels however the amount of interaction between fighers and bombers varies dependant on the mission briefings for each element, sometimes it is a close co-operation, other times we head in different directions to one another to complete different objectives.

This CO-Op campaign runs the length of the war, including the Spanish Civil War as we are operating over right now with each pilot persona being tracked. We have already been through the war once before but with the mods this second run through has been able to have the Condor legion missions before going into Poland, the Lowlands and France whilst also providing us with countless more options thatn we evere imagined before.

Ultimately providing Cliffs of Dover is improved and becomes a stable platform we are looking to switch over, however this is quite a way off at present and even when we do switch to the new engine we will only do so when the vast majority are ready and able for it; upgrading as a team. If there are those unable to upgrade we will of course make provisions for them to continue flying with us alongside the CloD missions by opening an additional staffel flying as similar as possible campaign to our actions in CloD.

So, if flying with a friendly bunch of like minded chaps sounds like your idea of fun then feel free to check us out at www.iijg53.com

Hope to see you in the virtual skies soon!

The 91st BG is a special unit devoted to flying heavy bombers such as the: B-17,and B-24.

A little about the 91st is that we love to fly bombers, we are a unit attached to the 78th FG, the 78th FG provides us with fighter escort to the target and back so that we can arrive home safely.

What we look for in a Pilot is:
-Loves to fly the aircraft
-Can hold formations decently
-Teamwork
-Fun and serious
-Maturity

If you are intrested in joining the 91st please PM me, visit the forums at http://www.78thfg.com/forums/

UltraSpain squad formation

Hola!
I am pretty obsessed with the great new planes available in the UltraSpain add on and am busily writing missions using UP3.0RC4.

Are there any people interested in forming a squad (or two) to fly UltraSpain missions on line?

It would be great to have a Red squadron and a Blue (Black) squadron for on line play.

Any takers? PM me. I am based in Australia but like most on line players, fly at all sorts of hours.

Air Group 51, Virtual US Naval Aviation group based in the US, with a "seasoned" group of pilots from coast to coast.  We use the current version of HSFX to fly SEOW campaigns and coordinated group Cooperation and Moving dogfight missions three times a week.  If you like to be Haze Grey and Underway this is the place to be with dedicated Bomber, Torpedo and Fighter groups.  We normally fly full switch with externals on ground only.  We have specialized mods for carrier operations courtesy of AG-51 Fireball.  The group also has an annual Tail Hook gathering at one members home, this years event is in Sept 2013.  So come visit the website and forums.

We are brand new and just getting started as an IL-2 1946 FB PF group.  I have recreated the 80th Fighter Group USAAF with the four squadrons. There are two of us, looking for more pilots to fight in the skies above CBI.  I am a very serious flight simmer with 6 years experience but all in Microsoft FS9 as a commercial pilot with various virtual airlines.  My #2 introduced me to IL2.  I have flown 500+ hours in military aircraft in FS9 but as you all know it has great airports, scenery, aircraft but NO COMBAT which makes it pointless to fly combat aircraft.  Hence, this fighter group has been formed.  Come join us if you don't belong anywhere now.  We welcome noobies 16 and up who want to start with us and we need experienced pilots.http://www.virtual80thfg.site50.net (http://www.virtual80thfg.site50.net)

Hi everyone,

Our French Squadron, opened to everyone, is called "Forces Aériennes Françaises Libres Virtuelles" we are semi-casual/realistic player, playing in realistic difficulty. We have several multiplayers campaigns available:

-"Experten": (1941-1945) we play the German JG/53 from 1941 to 1945. Frontline and even the war events can change in function of what we did in fight. This is like the other campaigns, an interactive campaigns were every actions have matter.
-"Nochnye Vedmy": (1942-1945) Historical campaigns where we play the Soviet Female Aviatrix, called: "Night Witches" (In Russian "Nochnye Vedmy"), we flew the Po-2 (U2VS) like them and we recreate several true battle, acheived by the Night Witches (like the famous Taman Peninsula Battle).
-"Teikoku No Samurai": (1941-1945) Japanese Campaign trough the Pacific Theater.
-"Normandie-Niémen": (1940-1945) We flew French from the Battle Of France until the end of the war, particulary the Free French Squadron Normandie-Niémen, in USSR.

We use the TFM-412. More informations on our forum: FAFLV Forum Il2 1946
We have a TeamSpeak for people who are interested (contact us in PM on our forum to have the adress)
