This 4.10m download is for the UP 2.01 users so they won't need to have 2 separate installations. More mirrors will follow shortly

Who already used the patch ? I installed Hades Patch without error messages. but now my Game does not start anymore >:(
Do I have to install the Daedalos patch over the patch of HaDes ??

Doc,
I upgraded UP with the autoupgrade, moved 401M_ from jsgme(did also use the Ecran wide file) to the game, put a "-" in front of my mods folder and the game started, showed 4.09M. When I checked files, I saw the new files plus the new missions from TD and the game ran fine EXCEPT there are some bugs in at least one new mission plus I haven't checked the dates on the AI files yet to see if they are new but suspect (bad move) they are.
Also have not tested the 'new' navigation system.

Now we need a il2fb.exe that recognize the new 4.10.sfs and the mods.

Everything downloaded fine. I have installed the normal 4.10 on my basic game, and it works just fine. But I have seen one thing :
I have copied a mission made on the Slot mod map on this basic version of the game, as I have seen in the FMB that there are the Salomons map. Of course, I have modified this mission to use only stock planes... but it does not appear in the briefing, and does not load. This means that the Slot maps are different from the 4.10 Solomons maps (at least for the folder structure).
So it means that, on a modded game, we have things to modify in the different ini files. To do this, does anyone know :
-for the maps, what lines add in the all.ini file, in the way to allow the game to use all the maps (4.10 and modded ones) ?
-for the objects (vehicles, ships, etc...), are there lines to add/modify in the technics.ini, static.ini, stationnary.ini, technics_ru.properties, etc ?
-and of course, for the planes !!! some are new in the 4.10 (R-5, Do-217, etc...). Here also, I suppose there are lines to add in the air.ini, plane_ru.properties and weapons_ru.properties. Which ones ?
And what about the buttons ?
Also, there are probably some mods to delete (for example, I see that the CW-21 is now flyable in the stock version of the game, so the CW-21 cockpit is not necessary anymore). Which ones (first sight, I see the CW-21 and Re-2000, but there are maybe others) ?
It would be very nice to have a kind of "to-do" list !!!

Not sure how to use this. Do I unzip contents to folder than import all contents of that folder to jsgme or do I just import the folder labled jsgmemods? Then when I get it into the jsgme and move it to active do I have to de activated all other mods and disable the Mods folder?

I roled back to stock 409 and isntalled the updater from the ultrapack updater desktop icon, i now have stock 409 and stock 410 options. In and working fine. make sure you - out your mods folder in ultrapack before you update.

What I did was to run the installer over my Il2 install (which is UP 2.0 with a lot SAS mods added). Then I disabled all the JGSME mods apart from the 4.10_stock one, and the game booted up into 4.10 stock with no problems. Even my existing conf.ini worked fine :D
Loving the new 3D model for the Ju88 in particular.

So... any word on when a new UP will release to add mod support? IL2 - 6dof - visual updates from the mods - new sounds = yuck, even with the new content.

So... I am confused. Can I start with a clean version of 4.10m and install UP 2.01 on top? Is that safe?
Wait...nevermind. Sorry for that dumb post without doing some research first. But as for maps, I have a map that is about 90% done which I wanted to release before the new year, will I have to do anything new to get it to be compatible with 4.10? I designed the map using 4.09m and UP 2.01 installed.

Not yet, but after some weeks or months we should have stock v4.10m + UP + SAS mods configuration. We'll have to wait for updated UP, and there is a lot of work to do before we can install UP on top of v4.10m.

So MrOblongo, this way in jsgme you have a 00_410 folder (built upon the 00_409_stock I suppose) which has inside a sas modactivator? Should this allow to add a MODS folder in this so modded game? But having disabled the "Files" you have no more contents from UP then!

Yes, you dont get the UP content, that is in .sfs files so it will take some time to be 4.10 compatible. But you can manually add some mods.

The updater gives you the option for 00_stock_4.10 in the JSGME
This ones gives you the 4.10 + Modact to use with the JSGME
So you can add mods with the JSGME to your 4.10.

Then why using this 4.10?
99% of the gamers are waiting for the job of the modders, imagine they don't want to work to change all, what will be your react?
As I had seen in this thread is some good react: DT are numerous, why do not plane a moddable 4.10 for the first go? Why using this issue if we have to change all, wait one, two months perhaps more for the good job of our loved modders? And change again in one year for 4.11, wich will be , I guess in the same way?
Think about that: BOB is coming soon, it is a share game (that's normal for those who worked hard on this). You have a free game who is with mods of the entire world (free choice for you) at a good level of efficiency. If you kill the free game and the free modding, have you more chance to sell your new product?
Don't say that modded Il2 and BOB can be together on the market, that's ridiculous: one is free, the other not...
Think about your future if the modders fed up with all the job to adapt the game up the 4.10, do you come back to the modded 4.09, do you buy BOB, both?
For the moment I don't see any utility to 4.10, it is a pity: a great hard job from DT and all this good team (I think) for ?

This allow you to add mods "old fashion" with the MODS folder. The UP and HSFX compiled all the new stuff in .sfs files so they were easier execute for the il2fb.exe. So, if you want to add a map, you can add it in MODS/MAPMODS. (All manually)

You must disable all mods (including the stock 4.10) and the files folder (putting a - to Files).
Then you activate the MrO_4.10 and voila.

My experience is that with modact 2,5B u can mod all u want, Everything is fresh so a lot of map objects still missing.
I want to be a part of the pionerage of 410 testing MOD`s and maps, wich take valuable time for modders to do. Thats why I trow 409 in the bin and focus on 410. So far it has been a joy ride No matter what you feel about TD`s point of wiew the game has improved a great deal as a flightsim. This enable the sim to age some more and compete with new ones.

when ALL the airplanes I already have and working in my 409UP, when ALL the mods (50 plus) I already have and working, when ALL the cockpits I have and working WILL work in 410....then I will eventually switch to 410.
let's try to be serious: G limits; we already had and broke wings... Radio Nav, interesting...but then all the cockpits have to be modified or should I assume that only the stock airc have this privilege? Then I'd like to figure out how many will go sim flying using radio aids: as long as the missions use way points traced on a map I hardly believe than sooo many will use this feature! Radar we have already.. AI? in 410 it seems interesting what they have done, unfortunately they have left out one of the best: AI who cannot see through clouds!
All I see here and there are modders struggling to have THEIR many mods working again in 410 having had in change how many new mods from TD?
and we all spending along hours to update what we already have....
I don't know if it's better crying or laughing, really: sure at TD home are laughing!

Before installing this may I ask : after install over UP game can I then just transfer all old mods in the -Mods folder( woth all my old mods in it, into the new Mods folder & then enable the JSGME mods I want again?Would I have a fully functioning Up 4.10M game then or just a switchable game between 4.10 & UP 4.09m?
I have a virgin 4.10m install from the other thread in this section up & going but no mods added to that folder & no JSGME folder either. I was going to add all the Mods here & just keep my the two versions separate, but my UP game is loaded & I really would like to have 4.10 & old mods working off line all in one place...I guess I need a little direction before I screw things up...

Oblo has found a way to make it work with SAS Activator, this is just a quote of an earlier post. You don't get al the UP content though, but you can add MODs with this.

Got it going- it works fine..I'm guessing that we cannot use the other Mod in this section to be able to mod the 4.10 install ,only JSGME ...correct?Does that mean that the splendid JapanCat cockpit mods etc. cannot be used ,or can they be put into JSGME folder and be workable? :-\

Any mod can be modified to work with JSGME.

Note:
You have the merge the two into one activable folder for JSGME.

Sorry for this, but you have to download the files and overwrite the 3do folder. Then activate.
Which 3do folder needs to be overwritten? Take all the 3do folders from the objects mod and overwrite the 3do folder in MrO_410? Or overwrite the 3do folder in files? sorry, i am just a little confused. Thank for the help.

I had a clean new install up to 4.09m it ran fine until I installed the new up2.01n, now IL2 will not start at all just front screen then ctd's. Doesnt even make it to the 5% load.
Never mind the d2d patch fixed it.

Hey guys,
I did not want to start a new thread to ask this. I have a 4.09 + Up 2.01 all updated(did it last night). All the mods work except Ecranwide. My game loads up just fine but when I get to the fly screen, the game locks up. As soon as I remove Ecranwide from the mods via JSME the game works fine. The other mods (Complex engine management, perfect texturse ect.) all work fine.
Any thoughts?

Ok, I thinks I also need to do more research before asking stupid question. Here is the way I understand it. Correct me please If I am wrong. Ecranwide does not work with 4.09 modded. I can use Mr O's 4.10 mod then I will have(via JSME) 4.09 modded or 4.10 modded minus of course the UP content. That means I can have 4.10 plus Ecranwide, Complex engine management, perfect texturse ect.
Does this make sense?
