Title: FAA-CZ-38
Post by: David Prosser on June 13, 2019, 01:25:22 AM
Well, now I've figured out how to set up carrier take offs; here's an FAA campaign. It's part one of the CZ-38 'what if' series for the FAA. It takes place 'pre-war' from 1934 to 1936, under TGA. The player is flying an Osprey. It starts with the end of carrier qualification off Norway, Moves to Singapore, and finishes in the Middle East. Part two will cover 1938-1944. It'll be done in WAW.

cheers

Carrier landings aren't everyone's cup of tea.

Directing naval gunfire against pirates is more fun.

Sure it is ! I will certainly try this campaign, and I've been working on my own on some similar project. It's been for years now, but I could force myself to bring this to life !  :P

Good. I'd like to play it if it's for BAT. Just putting the finishing touches to CZ-38-France. It should be ready for d/l in a couple of days.

I love planes of this period. We need more TGA missions and campaigns.

Well, you're in luck. The first German part will be showing on M4T soon. Player flies a Hs 123 in the invasion of Czechslovakia. Next up is the BOF, where the player flies a naval Dewotine 372. After the BOF; it moves to Peterhead. Then a Ju-87 A2 campaign in the BOF. That's about 2/3 done. I put it on the back burner when I discovered the D372 naval skin. There's a French TGA carrier campaign in the early stages with F156s flying off the Bearn. I've done the first three missions. I'll try and get HMS Eagle into TGA and use it. It only has Illustrious at the moment. The Polish player next appears on the Leningrad front flying a VG-33. Later, there's a WAW campaign with the USMC flyer in a Wildcat for Operation Dragoon. The first mission is partly done. I just finished the first mission for a totally fictitious Graf Zeppelin campaign. Later it gets joined by the Peter Strasser. I haven't even looked at the Russian component of this series yet. Not a single mission. It'll come though.

You're welcome. There are two more on M4T, but they're not showing yet. I've almost finished the Stuka campaign. It's 30 missions. One more to go. Then tidy up, and testing.

That's praise indeed. I'm glad you were impressed. There's a French one too. I'm using a stand in for the Bearn. Been doing a lot of Civ III recently. Will get back to campaigns soon though. I have to visit the university library to get more info for the FE2d campaign.
