Title: AH-64D
Post by: Ont_R on May 08, 2016, 10:04:24 AM
Had this model on my pc for a few years now and have no idea who the original creator is as there was no credits included so all credit for this 3D model goes to the original creator. I merely adapted it to work in IL-2. Also a big thanks to the creators and to all involved with bringing us the AH-1 Cobra this is based on which can be found here:https://www.sas1946.com/main/index.php/topic,42004.0.html

Bell AH-1 Cobra

Credits:

3D model: Eagle Dynamics
Cockpit: Kesselbrut
Export: melissa
Java: Milan, Vega, Teacher, Wasted
New weapons 3d and fixes: GJE52
Default textures and material fixes: vpmedia
Flight Model and Engine code: Vega

Based on Huey-1B Gunship by Free Modding team

I appologize for the issues with the views as this uses the default AH-1 Cockpit and also for the fact that this retains the .50 cal sounds of the AH-1 for the main gun.

As with my other helo mods simply cut and paste the original AH-1 folder from your MOD folder to a safe location for re-use if you choose to. Then drop this one in it's place in your Mod folder. No changes were made to the air.ini or skins folder. Tested and working in C.U.P

Doing God's work here, Ont_R!

All we need now is a dedicated slot-maker to lend his/her invaluable time for these great birds.

SUPER DUPER !!!  8) What a beautiful and deadly machine!
Thank you so much Ont_R !

This game defenitly deserves to have a few more slots created for some of these unique
helicopters.

All we need now are some M1-Abrams tanks and this game is ready for Operation Desert Chicken !

Hi Ont_R
It's great that you're doing another helicopters.
I know you're working on a UH-1N Twin Huey and I'm curious what will be the next SH-3 Sea King, and maybe UH-60 Black Hawk.
Regards and good luck in further work.  :)

Hi Seb,

Thanks and yes I am working on the UH-1N at the moment but I think after that I'd like to do a couple of aircraft I've always wanted in game. Once those are done I may take a stab at doing the Seaking and Blackhawk.;)

Thanks again and cheers,

Ont_R

the Sea King is the one heli i'd still dearly love to see in IL-2 - a very versatile heli.
no pressure, though, lol - do what you want, as you like, in your time  :D

The Sea King is a true classic and a versatile work horse and would indeed be a nice addition for sure. :)

Although if I were to do it it would be gear down and land based landings only. Unless someone would be kind enough to do the Java for the gear and water landings that is. Any ways it may be awhile before I get to it so hopefully that will get worked out by then. ;)

Cheers,

Ont_R

Hi everyone.
I need technical help.
I have IL 2 1946 patched to version 4.12.2 with the Mod mod VP and IL 2 selector version 3.42 installed.
I saw on your forum that helicopters can also be installed.
Since I wish I could drive Apache, can anyone tell me how to install it?
I created this folder in the #SAS folder: 00_AH-64 where I installed all the apache files.
I start the game and try to do a custom game, but in the menu of the aircraft it doesn't appear at all.
I am desperate.
How do I make it work properly?
Thanks so much to all of you.
On the forum my name is STW Kaiser

This is advice based on insufficient information.

This is not a stand alone mod but needs another third party mod first. It is only a 3D mod of another mod.
This base mod you have to find for yourself I am afraid.

In any case: in the B.A.T. Modpack, the AH-64 is available in a seperate slot
