I've seen it's work in progress but good to know that it's released now.
We have new maps of the Caucasus, Karelian area, Ukrain and the upcoming Kharkov area, so virtually I've been to a great part of Russia already. ;D
Why don't you start (or the creator Oknebas) a new topic here in the ETO forum section to promote the map? I've got some more questions about this map but don't want to hijack Canonuk's thread you see...
And perhaps making a European text version for the city names for instance. Now it get's converted from cyrillic to something unreadable. ;)

Canon please excuse the takeover of this thread but there is not one yet for the Oknevas map...
...which is a really nice and large map that fills a huge gap. It looks like a stock IL2 map - Team Daidlos are you looking?
Would be great to have Donbass, Zapolar'e, and Khalkhin Gol included in future IL2 patches for Russia!

Yessss, it's done Thanks to who ever was that kind. Now let's celebrate a heavy loadout. A real Eastern front Map. Only knew about the Caucasus Map, The Iran Boarder one, those I got working last year, but this is all someone ever dreamed.
:) Just wow, seems the Eastern Front gets really tough. Astonishing Map, I can't express in words. With the Objects Pack from here all is working well, installation was fine. High level Map, finally the competition begins for some great Maps in the East. Thanks to Oknevas for his cheerfull work upon this Map and Uzin for providing this finding.
The airfields are eyecandy. Just enjoying
I would drink a pivo and enjoy flying, but I caught some illness, Pfeiffersches Drüsenfieber again, a silly name for a horrid thing that is like Aahhh. Excuse my harsh words in Canons Treads, don't wanted to attack or flame

Just like I said in my post on top of page 4 I have some questions about the Ukrain map but don't want to hijack Canonuk's thread.
As long as there is no new topic I won't ask it here.

Represent a very interesting and beautiful beta version of the map East Ukraine (Donbass)
Surprisingly, all this work carried out one man - Sergei "Oknevas" (very persistent and talented men). Unfortunately, by March 10, he was out of touch. I've used with permission, spread the beta version of this map. In the future it will continue this topic. Textures, building of towns, villages, industrial areas are very impressive.
All airfields are made very realistic.
To run this map, you must have a service Lal Hangar & Fortification mod.

To install the map. Unpack the archive.
1) When installing the objects and airfield, check the installation :

Probably you installed the objects that came with this map incorrectly?
The location of the folder Donbass should be Files/3do/Buildings/ or did you forget to copypaste the new entries to your static.ini?

Andrey65 first announced this map. Uzin beautifully adapted this map to English. In addition, he still makes the missions for a quick editor for this map.

I tried making a simple mission myself, but although the map loads in FMB without any problem, I can't save the mission- only the properties file is saved, not the mis file.

First you must have Czech Texan's Caucasus map installed as well. Take the lines below, put them in a notepad file and name it 'load_w.ini' then pop it in your Donbass folder in Mapmods. Add the following to your all.ini file and you should have a winter version of the East Ukraine map: Donbass-winter Donbass/load_w.ini

I did this in 4.09 but both maps seem to work in 4.10 so I don't see why the trick shouldn't work in 4.10 too. All hail Oknevas and Czech Texan who did all the hard work to bring us these maps !

Look in any modded winter map and you will find the file map_F.tga. Put it in your Donbass file. But you must change its name to Wmap_F.tga or it will interfere with the summer map. This means you must change the line above : Far map = Map_F.tga to Far map = WMap_F.tga.

I'll tell you more- WINTER and SUMMER a new version of the map Donbass already exists from August 2011
Oknevas - author of this map now finish the small details. Just a very large scale map- a lot of work for the author.

Moreover, the new version use the default objects. That is map will run in any of the options Mods without any problems.
I think there is a versions for the powerful and the weak computers ..

actually there are not many forests. That's right. A large area will occupy the steppe. However, there are a lot of tree planting and so far ...

Now for the installation.
After downloading unzip the file to a temporary location and scatter into the appropriate folders (UP, SAS, Mods) content.
1. Maps folder in Mapmods, will continue to record the new map all.ini:

2. I18n folder move in the same folder with the mods. (In addition to files with names of cities in the Donbass in default folder files recorded from 4.101 Maps Maps_ru with the addition of strings on the new map as an example. If you already have these files, copy a line of Donbass and paste in your files, but if you did not use that well now you have a billet for further expansion)
3. 3do folder contains objects from Oleg Molva (copra and waste heaps), and the board ground airfields, which were laid out in the first release. Check your lines in the presence of static.ini these objects. Please note, no more fashionable object was not involved!
4. I have also been made in haste for a quick mission editor version 4.101, copy the folder to the root of Missions to the game and agree with the merger.

I did a search on SAS but couldn't find it but i did find it in the object packs at AAS website... http://allaircraftsimulations.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=28958

There are other object packs you can download from there if you need any.
Also, the SAS discussion about Agracier's Madrid map has a list of object packs that you can download with links so check into that too.

For objects: 3do is in #DBW/STD/
If it's missing you need to create that folder.
