Hi FMJ, CICM :Dsure thing man
I need Your help:
Nur hier betreten = Voer allen hier
Hier anheben = Hier tillen
Nicht anfassen = Niet aanraken
I have it from "Google Transl." but I can not believe that's right!
And please what is "Hier abstützen" and "Luftdruck" in dutch?
Please give me a little Dutch lesson ;)
Bk the blonder Kolkrabe :D
Nur hier betreten =Voer allen hierAlleen hier betreden

I have it from "Google Transl." but I can not believe that's right!
Indeed, I think at Google Translate only work 'een stelletje halvegare randdebielen'
And please what is "Hier abstützen" and "Luftdruck" in dutch?
Hier abstützen = Hier (onder)steunen
Luftdruck = Luchtdruk

Nice picture Gerhard, very welcome!
Best regards - Mike
CWatson might be able to improve them a tad, he already posted a FM fix for 4.09m and 4.10 reg flaps.
Gerhard showing me how nice the 109 is and what gunnery in that bird is all about.
I got the message: Since the bullets are too weak, you have to use your wings to down the enemy:
can't believe i missed the first race! :(well the first race was more of a test, we are still trying to figure out how to propperly indicate what kind of a turn a pylon is, be it left hand or right hand
well, i'm spending this week ironing out some niggly control issues, and for the next race, i intend to be there, and you will all be flying in my turbulence, lol :D
Fuck, wish I could also fly, get always the connection timed out message, despite firewall deactivated.5 EUR on the "second network card issue" pile.
Old story, IL-2 never worked online from my connection, Falcon BMS did. :P

The race was more like crashing and doing extremely low passes (...ghost...) but we did do 1 serious race ;)YOU crashed... FMJ jinxed me once and got away with it, other than that, I didn't mess up at all.
i'm going to dig through my dusty old mods - actually, missions from the old days when IL2 mods was just a daydream for us, lol - but some really amazing templates for races, with complete tracks laid out and everything.if you could send me these maps that would be an amazing reference for future race tracks

Cool Mike, TV in 1944 on a carrier. ;D
Why not? The first television broadcast was 1928.
In 1937 the video monitors already had a similar "high resolution" like our SD television pictures nowadays.

Very nice pics, but I do think some attention to this thread may be in order ;)
[...]I will hopefully be back online in a couple short weeks, albeit for not very long, but at least ill get to spend Xmas with you[...]
[...]Hope you all fly safe[...]
I remember some bullets have been fired from you, too! ;)Not on that sortie. I've been winchester at that time.
Not on that sortie. I've been winchester at that time.
is my mind playing a trick on me?Yep, no second shooter on the NTRK.
It would be easier if you all would stop trying to kill meThat'd be just half the fun :P
i keep messing up to remember who I have to re-kill :PWhy not use the stats page? http://sas1946.rocks/up3test/
"Japan45 blue 001" mission, featuring "Blaubaer".A big story about a pilot with rather poor skills. - Thank you Mike.
[...]skylla & FMJ, the CICM (Choco Ice Cream Man... ;D)[...]
Gerhard "bomberkiller" couldn't decide which of the 109s to choose so he took both

AAAAHAAHAH! ;D You guys got some wild looking pilot skins! Hilarious stuff.... Let the good times Rock-N-Roll !
...but Doesn't the AI see them as well?
Mind a stupid question(s)? What 8k, and how ???Nvidia DSR plus a custom tool developed by a guy called "Orbmu2k".
During one of the test flights, I-Z pilot Korotkov incorrectly timed the locking maneuver and the lift generated by his fighter broke the docking frame and crashed him into the bottom of the mothership's wing. As the bomber came in for an emergency landing with both fighters still attached, the slow landing speed of the TB-3 resulted in loss of lift for the I-Z which fell away, killing Korotkov. This was the most serious accident of the entire Zveno program despite the inherent complexity of carrying as many as five aircraft, performing mid-air launches and dockings, and damage to the motherships by propellers and landing gear of the fighters. Tests with various combinations of aircraft determined that top-mounted configurations presented the most difficulty in docking due to turbulent airflow coming off the mothership's wings. The problem of safe underwing attachment was solved with the appearance of the Polikarpov I-16 fighter with retractable landing gear. This permitted the use of the same rigid mounting frames as for the top-mounted aircraft.
Can this e done with an AI bomber, or does it have to be all human?
Getting familiar with your Clowns
The one and only No.34 "Margarita" aka "Scheisse!"
One of the smokepiles must be me, a nice ground impact after trying to put some bullets into Ricky's plane.
What the f**k is this?;D A real mystery mission, isn't it?
Air racing may be the only thing where I can hold my own quite ok (if flown with jets :P ). ;)I'll show you another couple of screenshots from a different Blaubaer racing track tomorrow.

pretty Rusty I was
My first attempt to upload a screen sot.Nice, do it again!
Say, Storebror, do you know where I could find that Bf-109 skin you were using (the one that looks like the BoS special skin)?Sure, here you go: http://www.mission4today.com/index.php?name=Downloads2&file=details&id=7016
Otto seems like an old fashioned guy. I too like the wind in the hair effect.
How in the world did you manage that?
I couldn't even do that if I tried.
The first... well, let's meet another day
<request_mission Indian_Gulf_Incident
That's the typical MDS RRR bug:
While you see all your rockets being rearmed, other players only see one.
Nice and quite funny to see how you unroll the changes Reshade applied
The funny thing is: My screenshots were taken with Reshade enabled, and you "Perfect Effects Free 9" modifications make them look like... Stock screenshots without reshade
Welcome back Raticon :)
Nice to see you around again!
The main clownsession is still on Sunday 3 PM GMT, but there's also some people flying on weekdays, mostly in the european evening..
Server Modlist and contact details can be found at www.fac.sas1946.com

I like blue.
In the background the cat "Mausi" died 15 years ago. :(

How did you manage to supersaturate your mixture Ricky?
That's the official sign for: "I have installed an extra Mod for this plane ..." ;)
Using the Mistel
(...)
First of all, our AI routine would need a complete overwrite to allow for complete realistic Mistel operations. Unfortunately we could not afford to spend another year building and testing the Mistel, so our AI Mistels cannot take-off, land or attack targets. The most an AI Mistel can do is follow a set of waypoints in the air, basically serving as a large target for other flights.
Another important limitation is that Mistels cannot be flown in online dogfight games

I think AI don't mind about lights, I mean them don't spot you easily, right?
Wrong ;)
It is right for standard UP3, but we're not standard, we're the SAS.
The AI on our server does care for lights, even more when it's getting dark.
It's all about visibility.
While in standard UP3 the AI can look through walls and mountains but won't care for lights, on our Server it's all about realistic visibility.
Only exception here are clouds.
In the IL-2 world, clouds are not synchronized online.
This means that the clouds you are seeing aren't the clouds others see, hence hiding in clouds online is pointless.
Best regards - Mike

Soon remain my lights off because the AI recognizes lights on the server?Gerhard, that's the wrong approach .. harte män would say something like ..
Hi Skylla,
you're right, I need the points! :D
But, the lights looking pinche schei**e in my screenshots.
To fly without lights looks much better - that's all what I'm thinking about the lights. ;)

It's my m00stang and I shall call it m00stang. IT'S SO CUTE AND FAT :))
New plane mod?Really just perspective distortion, nothing more, nothing less.
Those Jap-Carrier shots are very cool Mike. Love `em 8)There's still some more to come.
Of course, not long after the above picture, I became cronkled...and collided with SimFTR. ...completely ruined my outfit.Unfortunately true and since I captured it and now that you say it... 4K on click as always.
bomberkiller saving skylla's a$$:He had to that far too often since we got our new AI :D
The SAS server is offered for all of us "offliners".Indeed, the best online experience an offliner can have ;)
bk picked up Gubi but in ".ntrk" I'll see this only:Would be courious to see the NTRK myself...
Would be courious to see the NTRK myself...
Did you really all wear the same default skin on the Macchi?I think we all did.. I have NO skins for that bird whatsoever if I recall correctly :))
That looks nice, all with same airplane and skin. Not quite, not really.

Our session time currently is Sunday 2 PM GMT, you can check what this means in your local timezone here:
http://www.timebie.com/std/gmt.php?q=14
Sessions last 4 hours at least, sometimes much longer.
You can meet a couple of clowns unregularly on working days at about 5PM GMT for about an hour often times, and we see some players throughout the day at different times too.
Best regards - Mike
We don't mind if you enter unshaved, sober and teeth unbrushed
my newly repaired PC makes weird sounds. :DSounds like you should not just take the old HDD with you when you visit Gerhard, but your whole PC ;)
Ah Narvik, nice one BK.
The Swordfish is a tough plane - did you get that gunner killed in the pic?
None of the images shows
Nice screenies BlackAce and welcome to the club of insane offliners online

Conky, you're a bastard...says the man in the chute:
What kind of effects mod do you use?
If I'm a bastard I'm in good company!!! Thanks for the compliment
I'm not sure whether Bastards like BK are entitled to entitle others of being a Bastard
Two more? Why not :P
Our SAR boys Conky + Skylla preparing for takeoff:
Me myself getting there to escort Conky and Skylla, the latter can be seen taking off in the backgroud, right to my prop:

We're glad to have you with us, not at least because this proves that Rolen really has friends ):D
Is BK flying with his real mug now?The mask fell when he shot his first 109 - with great delight :D
Nice training session the two of you did there, so we can expect a couple of perfect formation flights today? ]thumbsup[ ]laughing7[ ]headbang[

Yup and it's really a nice kill.
One thing though: That's not a Zero, it's a Jack (J2M3 Model 21 "Raiden", the japanese "Thunderbolt").
Mike makes everyone look like a combat pilot 8) :))That's what you are. Guess what it feels for me as the lonely pacifist among all those professional killers.

[08|Oct 11:14 PM] Gubi: Quote of the day: Today, -bb-...53 minutes into an ingress situation with the FAC (they will witness this...)...flak up, gerula and skylla's flights are separated...
[08|Oct 11:15 PM] Gubi: ...55 minutes...into the valley of the shadow of death. Silence... "-bb-...fuck..I flew all this way for a head shot?"
[09|Oct 12:15 AM] Gubi: ...indeed...gerula's squad was shot to pieces...from no lack of trying, I must say... Then it was Skylla's turn. He had the Strorebror...and a couple other cats...Printe, I think... ...and they were going to handle it...
[09|Oct 12:15 AM] Gubi: ...all we need now are Mike's pictures... Cheers and prost...
If you look real close, you can spot Ricky aka Ghost129er in the lower right corner of the image:
If you keep posting formation pics...... I might end-up spending my whole weekend painting blue angel skins on the B-17......... ;DStart painting :P
That was an awesome flightIndeed, and lazy me forgot to mention the participants.
Having fun with Ohkas (click for full size images).

Looking close at the last picture you can even see it:
